Chapter 143 143
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE
AURORA'S P.O.V
With the tearful but happy reunion out of the way, life was back on track.
"Ouch, my legs and my back are killing me."
Almost. Lucian almost plundered me dry, like all night. I know he missed me and I did miss him too. His touch, his affection, I missed everything. And I know he was trying to get back for all the times we lost but man! He wanted to kill me last night. We stayed up all night till early this morning doing the deed. Not that I didn't like it, I loved it. But, I'm tired and I wouldn't mind a bit of time away from him tonight. But I know that's not going to happen, unless Auron comes and swoops me back to his place to continue his mission of taking my powers. Or, I should just tell him. One night won't kill him right?
"Are you alright, Aurora? You've been frowning for the past five minutes now."
Talia nudged me in the ribs, staring intently at my face, her eyes darting as if to find the answers.
I laughed then winced from the pain shooting to my waist.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that my legs and back, now my waist too, are killing me."
She had a concerned look on her face as she started rubbing my back.
"Yikes, I hope its not something serious."
"No its not. Just Lucian and I things." I answered without a thought, but then I noticed her going still, a grin on her face. Then I tried to remember what I might have said to make her grin like that. Wait! Oh no! I said its a Lucian and I things. Double yikes.
"Wait Talia...its...its not what I meant!" I waved my hands wildly in front of me but it was already too late. Her eyes were bright as she wagged her eyebrows and fluttered her lashes.
"So you guys just went for it, so soon. You didn't even wait. Bad girl, Aurora. But go girl!" She whooped around me.
I lowered my head, my face feeling hot from embarrassment. This was not how I wanted my best friend to know that my mate and I had hot sex last night. Why was I even feeling shy about this? Because we are humans and we don't like to put everything out about ourselves to people. But Talia is not people, she's my best friend. But still, its embarrassing.
"Fine, we did it. And yes, it was hard and hot and I feel like I'm going to collapse anytime soon."
She squealed, her hands cupping her cheeks, looking like a young school girl being told a guy had a crush on her.
"I know, but don't worry, its normal. Stop complaining like you guys weren't doing it before that Auron guy took you away. I mean, how long has it been...?" She trailed off, trying to remember.
"Four days." I supplied for her.
"Thank you. Exactly, just four days. Come on, square your shoulders and let's go to the pack hall, I'm sure Lucian wants to speak about Auron."
We were heading to the pack hall because Lucian had told us he wanted to discuss something important, hence why I'm on my feet. If it wasn't for that, I would have been on the bed, restoring my lost energy.
I sighed, straightening my back, my eyes cold.
"I know, and as long as its to discuss a plan to get him off my back, I don't mind this pain right now."
She beamed at me, her hair flying with the wind.
"That's it girl! Let's go, come on." She locked her hand with mine and pulled me along.
"Not so fast please." I could only wail helplessly.
By the time we stepped into the pack house, I was feeling worse than sore.
"We're here!" Talia yelled out.
"Finally, we thought you guys were going to sleep there." Griffin grumbled playfully as he pulled Talia to himself, settling her on his lap as he sat down on one of the stuff, wooden chairs meant for the elders to sit on.
"Mom." I hugged Eleanor briefly, then sat beside her.
"You looked a bit pale, are you okay?"
Talia let out a short laugh then looked away.
"Yes, I'm fine." I gritted out then shot a glare at Lucian, from where he was standing, the middle of room, I could tell he had a concerned look on his face. "But someone won't be if I see him anywhere next to me this night."
Immediately I said it, his face went white, he gulped nervously.
"Now, can we start? I really need to be on a bed..." I saw him face light up with expectation, then I snapped. "To sleep, not for anything else."
Talia burst out in laughter, Griffin watched her confused, the same look was on Eleanor's face. She glanced at me then back at Talia, then back at me again.
"Is there something I'm missing?" She asked slowly.
The sound of someone clearing his throat brought our cases back to the front.
"Let's focus please. We are here to talk about Auron."
"You got that right." I shifted on my seat, trying to find a more comfortable spot, but no matter how I sat or placed my body, my lower waist still hurt. I groaned out in frustration, glaring at the seat.
"What did the chair do to you?" Eleanor asked, clearly amused.
"It's not the chair." I gritted then looked at Lucian and noticed he was wearing a thick, leather jacket. I got up gingerly and walked to him, a scared look crossed his face and he unconsciously took a step back.
"W..what is it?"
"Give me your jacket." I told him, my eyes on the jacket, planning how I was going to use it.
"My jacket!" He pulled it off and handed it to me. I took it with a grin then became at him.
"Thanks." He smiled back, ready to say something. "But you still can't touch me tonight."
"What!" He sounded like he had heard something life changing in a bad way.
"Bye."
I skipped back to my seat and folded the jacket in a square tofu. Then I sat down slowly, I sighed, almost slipped from the chair from the relief.
"Now this is better. Continue, don't let me stop you." I waved my hand.
Lucian rolled his eyes and cleared his throat, his hands across his chest.
