135. Planning to End it
“Okay, love this is it. I am going to completely pull out of your mind. I need you to just stay calm for a few minutes, okay. We will get to Malachar’s home. Then go in, you must act like nothing is wrong until we meet Malachar. Then you can let it all go.” I nodded at Teddy. We had been invited to another party.
Baron and Leia were attending, and Aiden was tagging along. Though he had not been invited, he had his own assignment. I was angry already. After Teddy told me everything, it all made sense. I had to keep calm, but my mind was already swimming with angst. “I haven’t eaten for two days. Teddy, how am I supposed to be calm.” I complained. This was a strategy.
It would make me more vicious when the time came and I also would be a little calmer since drinking blood tended to make me frenzied. Teddy had determined. I would be more rabid, though I already felt that way. It took a week for the five of us to make a plan. “Beatrix, you can do this, you are the strongest person I know. I need you to reach deep to keep yourself locked up, until I say so. If you show up and start something to soon, Malachar, though he thinks he would win, he will flee.”
“But why?” I snapped at him. “Because he is him, he rather not risk it, plus we need to give Aiden time to lay the trap so no one can jump someplace else. You taught him the ritual and he will have to do it right to prevent anyone from leaving, you have to get a hold of yourself, because I have to hide how you look from everyone and I can’t be in your head, it takes everything I have to keep you calm” I snapped at him. “I FUCKING KNOW THAT” Teddy frowned.
I didn’t mean to snap at him, but I felt fire, I was angry, I wanted to let loose, I wanted to kill all of them. “I also need you not to hurt me, Aiden, Baron, or Leia, you can do that for me right?” My eye twitched. I wasn’t so sure I could stop myself when shit hit the fan. I didn’t even understand why they were going. I mean yes Aiden laying the ritual to prevent jumping was important, but Baron while a good fighter was not invincible.
Then there was Leia, she didn’t know how to fight at all. She was innocent in all of this. She didn’t fight in the war, why was she going. Teddy rubbed his temples. “I told you, she wanted to be there, and besides she always attends things with Baron. It would be weird if she didn’t go.” I growled at my husband. “You can’t do that when we get there Beatrix.” I snarled then.
“That either, dig deep, pull yourself out of whatever Malachar’s power twisted you into. You have to be composed only for a few minutes, okay. Malachar will greet us, and you will be polite, and when we get the signal you are able to pull of that power out, just give me Beatrix for 20 minuets okay” I stared at him.
He looked dashing, His black suit and black wings were sexy but instead of wanting to jump his bones, all I could think about was the vein in his neck, and how he would taste. Teddy smirked. “Alright little monster, come one, get your head straight. You want Malachar dead right? You want them all dead.” I knew my red eyes flared at the prospect of finally destroying the Order once and for all.
Teddy had for several days shown me my real appearance. Apparently, he had been shielding my mind from my true appearance, so I wouldn’t freak out. But everyone in Astor Hall saw my real look and now I had see it too. It was horrible. My arms were black as if I was wearing long gloves. My eyes were completely red and would flash dark when I was too mad. My fangs wouldn’t go back up into my gums, and I had patchy streaks of white in my curls.
My lips were stained the darkest red I had ever seen, and my nails were long and pointed as if they were claws. I looked like the monster I was. “Now are you ready for me to pull out fully of your mind?” Teddy asked me. I nodded quickly, I was ready for this all to be over. I wanted to rest, I wanted Malachar gone. “Before I do, I want this” Teddy said and then his arm was around my waist and he pulled me to him.
His lips met mine and he kissed me deeply, I could feel the faintest of my resolve stirring beneath the bubbling anger that always sat below my fleshly surface. “You guys ready” I heard Aiden, he said as he walked in. Teddy pulled away nodding and I felt the last of him leave my mind, anger flooded every inch of me.
Aiden and Teddy stared at me, they were waiting for something but all I could do was fight with myself not to rip into them and drink them dry. “Focus all you have to do is focus on the plan.” Teddy said and I looked at the vein in his neck again. “Don’t fucking tell me what to do.” I snapped. He nodded and Aiden said “Good work, she looks like herself” He complimented Teddy.
“You both should go, Baron and Leia left already” Aiden said and Teddy nodded, he took hold of my hand and we vanished. The smells of everyone swarmed me. I knew Teddy explained Aidens part of this plan, but I couldn’t think about it. All I could manage to do was keep my mouth shut, so I wouldn’t rip into anyone. I began to count, 20 minutes Teddy had said. Then I would be free.
I would get my revenge in just 20 minuets, 1200 seconds and it would be done. Teddy had my hand but he adjusted it so that it was in the crook of his arm. We were outside the monstrosity of a house. Right before I stepped up on the few stairs that led to the entry way of this manor house Teddy paused. He looked at me intently, it irritated me. “Beatrix, if we don’t make it out.” His lower lip trembled, just slightly, and I don’t know how I composed myself enough to speak but I did. “If we don’t make it, then there is an eternity to watch what our sacrifice accomplished, because Teddy, that fucking bastard is going to die tonight, of that I assure you.”
