✨Chapter 29✨

The security arrived in exactly two minutes and they all stood for a few seconds, trying to catch their breath.

"Ma'am, who did you ask us to come and take?" one of them asked.

"Isn't it obvious? These men are disturbing the atmosphere here" Mia said.

"But he said he was here to see the CEO and since he's the CEO of..." he was saying when Mia cut him off.

"I don't want to know who he is. Miss Julia doesn't have an appointment right now so take him away. If this repeats itself, you are going to get fired" Mia said.

"Please come with us sir" the security said calmly.

"I'm not going anywhere until I see Julia today. I just want to see if you will drag me out of here" Roy said and folded his arms.

"He doesn't want you to show him courtesy so drag him out of here" Mia said nonchalantly.

"You are really going to drag me out?" Roy smirked at them.

"We are sorry but we have to listen to her orders since they are almost like the CEO's orders" the men said and started dragging him away.

"I'm going to make you all pay for this. You are in your office Julia and I know you can hear me. You are supporting your workers in this so I will make you all pay" Roy screamed as he was being dragged away.

Julia was hearing their conversation faintly all these time but her mood was ruined and she believed Mia would handle it until she heard the scream.

The door opened suddenly and the security stopped as they all turned to Julia's direction.

"What is going on here?" Julia asked.

"It's nothing ma. I'm handling it perfectly" Mia said.

"I believe you will definitely handle it but who screamed just now?" Julia asked.

"I'm the one Julia. You don't need to pretend like you don't know it's me. How can you treat the father of your children like this?" Roy screamed.

Julia stared at him for a few seconds and took slow strides towards him. The guards had to leave him and step back because of the look on Julia's face.

Immediately she got to where Roy was standing, she gave him a resounding slap. When he raised his head to stare at her in surprise, she slapped him for the second time.

"I will save the third slap for later but I hope you listen carefully to what I'm about to say now. Once you are thrown out of this company, I don't want to see even your shadow around me or anyone close to me. I'm warning you now so if you cross the line one more time, don't blame me if something happens to you" Julia concluded and returned to her office.

Roy couldn't say a word as he just stared at her walking away. His mouth suddenly felt too heavy to move and he was dragged outside without saying a word.

Nicole waited till evening when Julia finally came to the parking lot to go home.

"W...what are you still doing here? Don't tell me you've been here since" Julia scoffed.

"I was waiting for you" Nicole smiled sadly.

She was cold and hungry since she hadn't eaten anything since morning.

"Why have you been waiting for me? I have nothing to say to you so just leave. I'm no longer the Julia that takes pity on people and act nice all the time. Doing that cost me my marriage so I won't be nice anymore. Just leave before I ask the guards to throw you out" Julia concluded and got into her car.

The security opened the gate for Julia but she kept looking at the mirror to see if Nicole will stand up or not. When she got to the gate and noticed she didn't still stand up, she turned the car around.

"Get in" she said.

Nicole dragged her feet into the car and sat in the passenger's seat next to Julia.

Julia drove out of the company and stopped at a restaurant. She knew Nicole probably hasn't eaten anything since morning so she ordered food first.

"What happened? Why were you in my company all day and why didn't you come with your car?" Julia asked after she was done eating.

Instead of answering, Nicole went on her knees and bursted into tears.

"What are you doing?" Julia scoffed.

"I've wronged you Julia, I'm really sorry" Nicole apologized.

"You are sorry? Do you think I'm stupid or what? If you were truly sorry, you would have apologized when we met at the grocery store. No, you would have come to me before then and apologized. You are not sorry one but and I don't care about that. Just tell me what exactly you want because I know you didn't come to me to apologize" Julia said.

"I... Tyler took all the money. He took all the money I got from Dylan and even took all the money I have in my bank. I had to take a loan to get the ticket for the plane that brought me here and used my land as collateral but I found out recently that Tyler sold the land before we left" Nicole explained.

"Tyler? I asked you if you were still with him and you told me no. Was there a time when you even thought of me as your friend?" Julia asked close to tears.

"I'm sorry Julia, I wasn't thinking straight. Can you please forgive me? The loan is going to be due in a week's time and I don't have any money to pay. The brand deal I was supposed to endorse got cancelled and there's nothing on my schedule for now" Nicole said.

"Are you asking me to forgive you or you are asking me for money to pay your loan?" Julia asked.

"Both. If you forgive me, I know you are going to help me with the loan" Nicole said.

"Okay, I get it now. You wouldn't have come to apologize in the first place if not that Tyler took away all your money so I will pretend I never heard this apology. I don't want you to show yourself before me ever again or you won't like what I will do to you.

You deserve everything Tyler did to you because the entire money never belonged to you from the start. If you duped someone, you should know that you will get the same thing done to you in ten fold. Good luck with your new life" Julia concluded and left after paying for the meal

She was trying to be strong but she couldn't stop herself from breaking down after she got into her car. The fact that Nicole probably never treated her genuinely for once broke her heart and she cried her heart out.
