✨Chapter 30✨

After crying to her heart's content, Julia finally drove back home. It was already late in the night so she didn't see Dylan and just went in.

"Why are you back so late and why didn't you answer your phone when I was calling? I was about calling the police to find you" Andrea said worriedly.

"I'm sorry for making you worried, I didn't hear the phone ringing. Why will you call the police to look for me? I'm not a kid" Julia rolled her eyes.

"Yes you are a kid to me. Anyway, where did you go?" Andrea asked.

"I went out with someone" Julia said.

"Alright. I told Dylan about Nicole today and he said he will meet her to get his money and properties back. Do you think Nicole will give it to him?" Andrea asked.

"She can't give it to him even if she wanted to" Julia answered.

"I don't understand. What do you mean?" Andrea asked.

"Tyler took all the money from her including her own money and now she's penniless" Julia shrugged.

"She's penniless? How do you know that?" Andrea asked.

"The person I went out with was Nicole. She was in my company since morning but I refused to talk to her. She was still there when I was leaving so I just took her to a restaurant to hear her out" Julia explained.

"So she told you she's penniless?" Andrea asked.

"Yes" Julia said.

"I bet she asked for money right?" Andrea said.

"She asked but it was indirectly. I already told her to not show up before me again" Julia said.

"Better! I know you don't mean it though, your face says it all" Andrea said.

"I meant it. I will be in my room" Julia said and left.

"Poor girl! She still thinks of Nicole as her friend after everything she did. She probably has the purest soul on earth" Andrea muttered.

*Next morning*

"You've been avoiding me lately" Dylan said behind Julia who was about getting into her car that morning.

Julia jumped back in fear because she looked around previously and didn't see anyone outside.

"Avoiding you? What are you talking about?" she asked looking everywhere but Dylan.

"Don't you think we have something to talk about? Andrea said she told you about it already" Dylan said.

"I know but I'm not ready to talk about it now" Julia shrugged.

"But I want to talk about it. I missed the first three years of my children's life and I don't want to miss a single day after finding out I'm their father" Dylan said.

"Fine, we will talk about it but that will be in the evening when I return" Julia said.

"Are you sure about that? You always return late these days" Dylan pointed out.

"I won't return late today, I promise" Julia assured.

"I'll trust you and wait for your return. Can I pick them up from school today?" Dylan asked.

"Sure. I will inform Peterson" Julia said and got into her car.

That afternoon when Dylan went to pick the kids from school, they were surprised to see him.

"Uncle Dylan, why are you the one picking us up today?" Hayden asked with a smile.

"I will be picking you up most of the time now" Dylan answered.

"Really?" Kayden asked excitedly.

"But what about uncle Peterson? Is he leaving?" Jayden asked.

"Of course not! He will bring you to school in the morning and take you home sometimes too. I just also want to take you home sometimes but my work won't let me do that as frequently as I want to" Dylan said.

The kids decided to stop asking Dylan questions since his answers seemed complicated to them.

When Julia was returning home from work that evening, she saw Nicole at the gate of the company.

After what happened the previous day, Julia informed the security to not let Nicole into the company again so she had to stay outside until Julia finished from work.

"What exactly do you want?" Julia asked from her car.

"I really need your help Julia. The loan will be due in a few days and I don't have any money on me. I don't even have money for food" Nicole cried.

"So what? If you don't have any money, what does it has to do with me? We are no longer friends in case you've forgotten. I know the reason why you've been coming to me is because you know I'm soft hearted and you think I will forgive you soon but you are wrong. I have no intention to forgive you.

If you have so much energy to wait for me here from morning till evening, find a job and start paying your loan bit by bit. You are a very beautiful and popular model so I'm sure you will get a good job with a good pay within a short period of time.

I can give you money for food since I'm not a wicked person but this will be the last time. If I see you lurking around my company after today, I will sue you and I'm sure you won't like that. Just take the money and disappear from my sight forever" Julia gave her the money and drove away.

"How can she be so mean to me?" Nicole asked as she stared at the money.

The money Julia gave to her was $500 and it wasn't even up to half of the loan she took.

It's like everything was working against her because her photoshoot got cancelled at the last minute and there was nothing on her schedule for the moment.

It has hardly happened like that ever since she became a popular model and she felt it was because she eloped with Dylan's money.

"I wouldn't have taken the money if not for Tyler. I just wanted to make him happy and did as he asked me so that we could be happy for a long time. Who knew he would betray me like this?" she muttered to herself.

*Julia's mansion*

Julia got home that evening only to see Andrea packing her things.

"Andrea? What are you doing?" Julia asked.

"I newly got an apartment so I'm moving there" Andrea said

"You are moving there to another apartment? Why will you move to another apartment when my house is as big as an estate? You are joking right?" Julia asked.

"No I'm not, I'm dead serious" Andrea said without looking up.

"You are really serious. Did I do something wrong then? We agreed that you are going to stay here until you return to Paris so why are you doing this?" Julia asked.

"I told you I got an apartment and I don't want to talk about this anymore. Please just let me go" Andrea said in a different tone.

"Andrea please. I don't know what happened but you can't leave me too. You are like a sister to me so how can you just leave like this? If you tell me what I did wrong, I promise to apologize to you and feel sorry for the rest of my life" Julia pleaded.

Julia was in tears and was on her knees already. The triplets were watching but she didn't care about that. She was still in shock because of what was happening and couldn't think straight m.

"I'm sorry Julia. I also thought of you as a sister but it seems I was the only one that felt that way. I'm leaving your life for good now and I hope you continue to live a happy life" Andrea concluded and left.

Julia ran after her and tried to stop her from leaving but it was all to no avail as Andrea's mind was made up already.
