Chapter one hundred and three: billionaire Andrew's bodyguard and the letter from the other side.

“Okay, come closer, I will tell you anything you need to know….” Mason said. Mason used his finger to signal Officer Joe to come closer.

Officer Joe was surprised so he looked at the one-sided mirror that was in the interrogation room, which Officer Ruby and Inspector Eric were behind watching.

Officer Joe brought his ear closer to hear the words Mason, and Mason whispered “I have nothing to say to you, get me a lawyer,”. Officer Joe got back in disappointment. It

“You making this hard for yourself, we will let you go, that is all,” Officer Joe said.

“Or you get me a lawyer and stop trying to trample on my civil rights,” Mason said. He looked at Officer Joe with a feeling of him winning the argument.

Officer Joe looked at him and he smiled and said “Have I met you before?” Officer Joe asked. He kept tapping his pen and it gave a rhythmic sound and also increased the tension in the interrogation adding more heat to the question being asked, and making Mason uncomfortable.

Mason was shocked that he remembered him, “I don't think so, I might be someone else,”. Mason said. He looked by the side after his reply.

“No, I think we have met. Yes! I remember you helped me pick up some piece of paper, was it a month ago? That the event happened? I don't know because time flies,” Officer Joe said.

“I don't remember such a thing,” Mason replied, he looked by the side again.

“And we met again, this time in billionaire Andrews mansion, you were… you were on the balcony and we stood and had a little chat before I was called to duty and before your friend Mike struck that night, and I remember we were celebrating billionaire joe’daughter birthday, Miss Jane, don't you remember?” Officer Joe asked.

“No, I don't!” Mason replied. He was trying his best not to say anything that might implicate him.

Officer Joe laughed and said, “Look I have a lot of things to present to persecute you, so why don't you cooperate with me?” Officer Joe asked. He looked at Mason expecting a reply from him but Mason chose to remain silent.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Parker was done with treating the wound. Mike regained his strength a little bit. He was still partially weak.

“Mike rest now, we will talk later about how your plan went,” Mrs. Parker said. She was still waiting for the news.

Mike heard this and he knew that he should not have come to see her because she won't like the outcome.

Mike tried to get up and he was stopped by Mrs. Parker. “No, no, no. Rest now, don't stress yourself,”.

Mike looked at her and said, “Thank you, thank you for everything you have done, I appreciate it”.

Mrs. Parker smiled and said, “Aw.. You are welcome, You just reminded me of my son,”. She exhaled.

“Do you care to talk about what happened in prison and when are they realising my husband?” Mrs. Parker brought up the topic not knowing that this would change her mood.

Mike sat upright and said, “I sent a mail, please check your mailbox outside,”. Mike was slow, and he sounded serious.

“Oh... Oh okay, I will but why do you sound unhappy?” Mrs. Parker asked. She got up and went outside to get her mail from her mailbox outside.

Meanwhile, at that time billionaire Andrew's bodyguard who was sent on an assassination mission was within the area, and he wanted to confirm the location before he struck.

And then, in the moment of scouting for his target resumed location, he saw his target. Mrs. Parker came out of her house, he walked through her lawn to get the mail from the mailbox outside.

Mrs. Parker opened the box and she found out she had a mail. She was surprised. She collected the envelope and she closed the mailbox. As Mrs. Parker turned, she saw a man, standing across looking at her, he was a bit scared, she went into the house immediately.

Mrs. Parker didn't tell Mike about the man, she saw that was looking at her. Mrs. Parker opened the letter, she saw a written note and a ring that she saw that was her husband's ring.

Tears dropped down her cheek, as she read the letter and it says.

My dearest wife,

It pains me to write this letter, knowing that I will never see your beautiful face again. I want you to know that I love you with all my heart, and I am so sorry for what has happened. I am innocent of the crime for which I was imprisoned, but it is too late now for justice to be served. All I can do is beg for your forgiveness and pray that you know how much you mean to me.

Our wedding day was the happiest day of my life, and I will always cherish the memories we made together. Please take good care of yourself, and know that I will always love you, no matter what happens. I am sending you my wedding ring as a symbol of my eternal love. I hope you find happiness and peace, even without me by your side. I will never forget the joy you brought to my life. Until we meet again, my love.

Mrs. Parker dropped down in tears after reading the letter. Mike looked at her and he said: “I am very sorry, I tried my best, you will be happy with you,”. Mike consoles her.

Mrs. Parker could not control her tears and she said “Thank you, I appreciate it”. She stood up and she went to the bathroom, and in death, she cried a lot.

Mike felt disappointed in himself.

Meanwhile, Mason was been asked several questions but he chose to remain quiet, or if he spoke he would request a lawyer and say nothing else.

Officer Joe has left him in the interrogation room. He watched him from the one-sided mirror. Officer Ruby, who was there asked him, “What are we going to do? Should we use force?”.

“No, we have not found him guilty of anything, actually but I am trying to comprehend what Mike said, when we were on the rooftop, he might be right,” Officer Joe said. He scratched his chin as he thought about what Mike said.

“Do not tell me you are going to believe Mike?” Officer Ruby asked. She looked at him.

“Not really but don't you think that all actions have a reason? And with how Mike was imprisoned and how dicy our police commissioner acts don't you think it's not the right way?” Officer Joe said he turned to Officer Ruby.

Now back to Mike.

In the afternoon period, Mike went to get a glass of water and something to eat from the kitchen, he didn't want to disturb Mrs. Parker because he was deeply hurt due to the passing of her husband Mr. Parker.

As Mike was in the kitchen preparing what to eat, he was lost in thought. Mrs. Parker came to the living room but she didn't see Mike.

At that moment she heard a knock on the door, Mrs. Parker was surprised because she didn't expect any visitors, then she thought it was the police doing their House search, for Mike. She wiped off her tears and she answered the door.

Mrs. Parker peeked through the door hole, she saw someone wearing black, she thought it was the cops. So she opened the door.

Lo and behold it was billionaire Andrew's bodyguard but she did not know he was or remember him.

“Good day, how may I help you?” Mrs. Parker asked.

Billionaire Andrew's bodyguard looked inside the house without answering her question.

“Can I help you?” Mrs. Parker asked again.

“Mrs. Parker right?” billionaire Andrew's bodyguard asked as he looked into the house, remember Mike was still in the kitchen.

“Yes, I am, how can I help you?” Mrs. Parker asked again for the third time. She is now scared and her voice starts shaking.

“There anyone in the house?” billionaire Andrew's bodyguard asked.

Mrs. Parker thought he was a police officer so he hid Mike, “No, there is no one, is it only me, any problem?” Mrs. Parker asked.

“This will be easy,” billionaire Andrew's bodyguard said.

“What do you mean?” Mrs. Parker asked.

Billionaire Andrew's bodyguard brought out his pistol with a silencer in its mouth and he shot Mrs. Parker twice.
