Chapter 239 The strongest werewolf
"Lucy and Harry are kept in prison."
I stared at her for a little while. It was just weird that no one mentioned that to me.
"Where?" I asked.
"Xavier wanted to kill them straight away, but there must be a procedure which will require you as well, so William decided to take them into his pack, and he keeps them there until you get well enough, so they can start the lawsuit."
"Lawsuit? What for?" I frowned.
"This is a legal procedure. And you know that as well. They don't have any chance to defend themselves. It is more like what the majority want to do with them."
I sighed. I would have been more at ease if they didn't exist any longer.
"Asher, you need to have a rest."
I looked at Olivia once more.
"I am sorry, but I can't. Could we have Aiden in this room?"
Olivia shook her head.
"He is a big boy now. We should leave him some privacy."
"I don't think I could be at ease till we are here in the hospital."
Olivia sighed, and she slowly got up. She didn't say a word, she just walked out of the room. Normally, I would have to agree with her, but what I went through recently taught me to be careful. She soon returned with Aiden in his arms. He didn't wake up feeling his cold mother's embrace, but watching them was a little funny. Olivia held him like he was still a baby, but he didn't look like one at all. He soon was the same size as his mother.
Olivia laid him down on the coach in the room, and she covered him with a quilt before she moved back to me.
"Can you sleep now?" She whispered to me, and I nodded with a smile.
The next morning, Aiden was already up when I opened my eyes. He didn't leave the room, but when he noticed we were awake as well, he sat up, and he looked at us, like he was waiting for an explanation.
"I am sorry, Aiden, but I am more at ease to have you at my sight."
"I don't mind, but why?"
"Because I want you to be safe."
He frowned while he moved to my bed.
"Dad, should I remind you I have Flint? I don't think there would be a stronger creature than him."
I sighed.
"Not a stronger creature, but a liquid called wolfsbane."
"Who would give that to me here, and why?" He frowned, apparently didn't understand me.
"Darling, your father went through a lot. Just understand him. We don't need to stay here for long, anyway. After we left, you would get back to your room."
Olivia tried to stop Aiden from asking me further. And Aiden, after glancing at his mother, let it go.
"Didn't you want to tell me how you caught those two?"
Asher asked Aiden, hoping he would focus on telling him the entire story. Aiden's eyes widened in excitement, and I smiled when I realised Asher's idea was working.
Aiden sat down on the side of the bed and started.
Lucy and Harry, after we broke in, managed to escape the building. They parted, hoping that they could fool the surrounding werewolves. They didn't expect Lycans to go after them.
"Lycans?" I frowned. "How come there are lycans in William's pack?" I asked Aiden, but he just shrugged his shoulders.
"They could communicate with each other, so I am guessing maybe they were successors of other lycans who joined his pack in the past."
I wondered how that was possible, as William never mentioned that to me, but Aiden didn't seem so interested in it, as he just continued the story.
Harry was easy to catch, as he had only used his old and sluggish body recently to party and being lazy. He couldn't run at all, so after the first few steps, the werewolves pushed him to the ground.
However, Lucy wasn't that easy. She ran as fast as she could, but when she started to be tired, she found a tree and climbed up on it. Aiden laughed when he said he didn't know what was on her mind. Did she seriously think that the werewolves would feel bored waiting for her, and they would leave her there?
They were waiting for her indeed, but Aiden said he wanted to be the one to catch her. Flint wanted to go after Harry as well, but as he was so easy to catch, he decided to go after Lucy. After a few minutes passed, he had a strange feeling of he was needed next to his father, so Flint did something incredible. He climbed on the tree after Lucy. Lucy tried to kick him down, but Flint held her legs between her sharp teeth, and with a movement he made Lucy fall down off the tree, eventually. She hit the floor hard, as they were quite high, but the werewolves surrounded her in a second.
After Flint made sure she wouldn't be able to escape, as she had broken her leg, he turned back and ran back to me.
"So Flint can climb a tree as well. Isn't he wonderful?" Aiden asked with a proud smile on his face. That made me laugh.
"Well, definitely the smartest and the strongest werewolf who I ever met." I said.
"Yes, both of them were incredibly good. Actually, they also saved Nyco's life." Olivia added, but the way she said that made me frown. She was sad, and it was like she felt remorse.
I held her hand.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I will need to apologise to Nyco." She said, and she sighed. Apparently she felt heavy, and Aiden rushed to the other side of the bed and hugged his mother from behind.
"I don't think you should apologise mum, you only did what you felt right then."
"For what?" I asked her, encouraging her to speak, as their behaviour made me really curious.
She looked into my eyes, and she looked at me seriously.
"Because if Aiden and Flint were late just a minute, you would be a vampire now."
