CHAPTER 78

There was a small moment of silence that floated between the two of them. They were both quiet at that moment as they seemed to stare at each other for the longest moment.

She didn't know what to say but she couldn't help but smile as she stared at him. Her heart fluttered against her chest as she looked towards him. “You know that I don't really know where I would be or what I would do without you.” She said to him honestly.

He didn't reply to her at first as he only let out a sigh for His lips as he ran a hand through his hair. “I think that you may be giving me a bit too much credit. I feel as though it is us that have been helped by your presence in our lives. You see the one who has improved us even though you have only been here a few days and really i don't know what i would do without you here”. He said to her and she couldn't help but smile at his words as she found herself nodding her head at him intently.

“Well I guess that I should go and get some rest. I know that today is a bit of a big day for all of us”. She said to him and he looked towards her in confusion as she wondered what it was that he meant.

“Well I will be starting your training. I think that it is about time that I start working towards doing that.” She said to him and he watched as he let out a sigh before he nodded his head at her in agreement.

“You know that I am not totally on board with all of this but I can see that it is important to you. So I will help you. We will get your training started and start getting you ready for tomorrow.” He said to her and she plastered a smile on her face. She leaned in and she placed a kiss on his cheek before pulling away from him . She found herself breathing heavily as she watched his eyes dilate before they trailed down towards her lips. She couldn't help but gulp as she shook her head.

But then she was tired of running away. She was tired of doing what seems to be the best for everyone. And she knew that she had told him that she wanted to focus on other things but she was done doing that. She was ready to focus on her own life now and nothing else.

She let out a sigh from Her lips as she leaned in closer toward him and without having a second thought on the matter she was able to press her lips against his in a searing kiss. It felt good for once and it allowed her to escape from her own reality. She didn't want it to end and she was more saddened that after a long moment he had managed to pull away from her.

His cheeks were flushed as he looked towards her. “Well that Was even better than the first time. But I don't know what this means.” He said to her and she shook her head at him in response. "I don't want you to think about it. Don't put any thought into it, we should just take this all as it comes. We can't allow the others to control us and it is time for us to work on focusing on ourselves. If this makes you happy then it is what we should do. Does it make you happy.” She asked him and she watched as he contemplated her words for a moment. He seemed to be thinking about it intently and he let out a sigh from his lips before nodding his head at her in response.

"It does and you know that I would do anything for you and so of course we can test the waters and we can see how the thing goes”. He said to her and she let out a relieved sigh from her lips as she grinned brightly.

“Good night.” She managed to say to him before entering her room And closing the door. She got a smile that came over her features as she headed towards her bed where she found a neatly folded set of clothes that was waiting for her.

She picked it up to find a note from Greta and she smiled as she knew that even now she was taking care of her. She loved the fact that she always seemed To be there for her no matter what happened and she couldn't have asked for anyone better to be a friend towards her.

As she slipped on the set of clothes she let out a sigh from her lips as she got into her bed. She hoped that her dreams would be kind to her and that they would be nothing like the nightmares that she was forced to face as of recent. She didn't know how much more of those she would be able to take.

But as always it seemed as though we never Do Truly get what we want.

Raven could hear the sounds of loud growls coming from behind her as she felt her heart lick up against her chest. She could feel a crippling sense of fear run through her body as she gulped.

She watched as she bumped into a large figure in front of her and she watched as he slowly turned around to face her and she watched as his eyes were a bright shade of red.

“I am your mate. You can't run from me forever.” He said in a menacing tone.

Raven was woken up with a start by the sound of a loud knock on her door. She frowned as she stood up from her bed to stretch before she pulled the door open to find Alex on the other side with a determined look on his face.

“Time to destroy the darkness.”
