CHAPTER 79
Raven was nervous as she slowly made her way out of the house. She had thought that she would be able to make her way through this without a hitch but now she found herself rethinking the entirety of the situation.
She let out a sigh from her lips as she shook her head in an attempt to rid herself of her wandering thoughts. She knew that she had to stay focused and try to get the best out of her training schedule: and she knew that fact was much easier said than done.
She let out a sigh as she made her way through the pack. She could tell how quiet Alex was beside her and she couldn't help but wonder what it was that was going through his mind.
She turned her attention towards him curiously as she raised an eyebrow at him in wonder but when he noticed her staring he only looked back at them and gave her a small smile on his face.
“Are you okay?” She asked him with a worried cheer in her tone. She watched as he shook his head at her. “Yes I am fine although I know that I don't want you to get hurt and so of course it is only natural that I would worry about you." he explained to her and she let out a sigh from her lips as she nodded her head at him intently.
She was already aware of the fact that he was worried about her. But she wanted to tell him that he had nothing to be bothered about and that everything was going to be fine. At least thst was what he wanted to tell herself. Although she knew thst jt was much easier said than done and she knew that it was one thing to say the words and another completely different thing for her to be able to carry out the actions.
She watched as he turned to look at her and he gave her a small sme. She was quick to return It as she didn't want him to take notice of the clear worry that was on his expression. “Now come on. Let us get you into the training ground. I think this was the kids playground and Greta told me." he said to her and she hummed as he nodded her head at him in response and offered him a small smile.
He hummed at her in response before he nodded his head at her in acknowledgement. He seemed to understand what she was meaning and where she was coming from .
They made their way to the very back of the pack where the mountains lay. It was only a few walking distances away from the place where they had their picnic and at the sight of the spot she couldn't help but feel a smile come over her features in the memory . She couldn't help but think about the fact that it had been a core memory for her and she was certain that it was also just as important if not more important for the kids.
She was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard the sound of low whistling that was coming from behind her. She looked around to find that it was Charlie that was standing there. She couldn't help but put on a smile as she went over to him. “Well hello there alpha. It has been a minute”. He said with a grin.
She rolled her eyes at him. “So are you going to be joining us today? So what did Alex leave that out for me. Usually the two of us train alone. We don't really have a lot of guards here. It is usually the two of us that are involved in patrols and everything.” He explained to her.
She nodded her head at him in response but she couldn't help but feel slight worry at his words. She didn't want to think about how they are leaving themselves exposed and how easily people would have the chance to attack them.
She let out a sigh from her lips as she sucked in a deep breath. “Well I think that we are going to have to change that soon enough. We have to work towards the situation as we can't continue to leave ourselves out in the people vulnerable and exposed.” She said to him and she watched as they slowly nodded their heads at her in agreement before they let out sighs from their lips.
“Well we don't really have a lot of able men and women at the moment and then we have those like Greta who are against violence. But lucky for us we don't have many people that come to this area. The biggest problem is the darkness. And so obviously the reason that we're here is so that we can be able to train you as well so that you can overcome through”. He said to her.
She nodded her head at him before letting out a deep breath. “So tell us this power of yours that you carry. How do you do it? What makes you have the ability to tap into it properly?” She heard Charlie say and she felt her heart tense.
“Well I have only used it twice in reality and the second time was an accident. When I had used it the first time I had promised myself that I would never use it again. I had sworn off using my abilities entirely.” She said to them and she watched as Charlie furrowed his eyebrows as he looked towards her intently.
"Why would you say that?” He asked her and she turned towards Alex. He looked as though she was about to intervene for her but she shook her head. It was time for her to stop hiding behind him and actually face her own demons for once.
“It was because my magic was the reason that my luna died.”
