Chapter 119
Chapter 119
In distant realms veiled by magic, Raine and the Moon Goddess sit across from one another at a table, delicate cups of tea cradled in their hands. The air shimmers with quiet anticipation as their gazes settle upon a mystical mirror suspended between them, its surface revealing Katherine and Anthony moving through their daily routines. Both Raine and the Moon Goddess observe as if the pair act as if everything is perfectly normal, unwaveringly following the intricate steps of the test the goddess has set before them.
As the scene unfolds, Raine notes not only Katherine’s steadfast devotion to her children—each gesture gentle and protective—but also Anthony’s tireless efforts to earn his father’s approval. Yet beneath these determined exteriors, she perceives the subtle flickers of pain in their eyes, betrayals of the burdens they each silently bear. The goddess’s plan seems to be progressing as intended, but Raine can’t help but wonder how much longer they can endure in silence.
“Sister, do you think it’s a great idea to have them separated like that, even though you clearly understand that they are trying their best to stay away from each other?” Raine's voice carries just a hint of worry, her eyes searching the goddess’s face for reassurance. She hesitates, torn between trusting the plan and feeling compassion for Katherine and Anthony’s struggle.
“I know, I want to see without that mate bond will it work the same way with it,” the Moon Goddess replies, her voice gentle yet resolute. A faint smile tugs at her lips as she continues, “Don’t worry—it’s only a temporary block, plus Anthony’s birthday is coming up. There will be a surprise waiting for them. We have to wait and see.”
Katherine did a video called for the things for Lord Frances therefore she can do the two videos together to get it out of the way, Melody starts to crawl to her leaving her brother on the playmat and she pulled herself up by grabbing on her mother pant to get her attention. With it made Katherine looked to see Melody standing up.
“You crawl all the way over here,”
Therefore, she picks up Melody into her arms, gently rubbing her little girl's hair while casting a fond glance over her shoulder. Noticing how sleepiness settles across the room, her gaze lingers on the delicate bracelet still circling Melody's tiny waist. Melody's unique purple eyes flash up at her, filling Katherine with renewed hope. Rising from the chair, Katherine balances Melody comfortably on her hip and walks over to her sons, who are busy rubbing their tired eyes. With the sun beginning to set outside, she carefully lifts her son into her arms and makes her way toward the bedroom. She enters quietly, not bothering to turn on the light, lays the children on the bed, and raises the safety rails before slipping into the kitchen to prepare their bottles.
Katherine walked back into the bedroom with warm milk bottles in hand, gently offering it to the three babies while tucking their blankets snugly around their small bodies. After making sure they were comfortable, she carefully pulled up the bedroom door, checked the baby monitor for any signs of restlessness, and then began tidying up the scattered toys and bottles. With the room now peaceful, she made her way to the kitchen to brew herself a calming cup of tea, savoring a rare moment of quiet before the next part of her day.
As Katherine sits on the window bench, sipping her tea and gazing into the moonlit sky, a gentle warmth blooms on her shoulder. The fire fairy lands softly, its delicate wings shimmering with a fiery glow as it turns to look at her. Katherine feels a small spark of comfort from the fairy's presence, and together they share a quiet moment of reflection beneath the clear night sky.
“You missed Anthony, do you?”
“Yes, giving him up is the hardest,”
“Yes, everyone knows about it. Even men other realm want your hand in marriage but you turn them down,”
“Come on you want to raise three babies from another man plus everyone knows that I won’t marry anyone. Anyways why are you here?”
“Oh yes, here a letter from your sister,”
“Step-sister. And what does she want?”
“It’s all in the letter,”
“How did you get this letter?”
“Look here us fairy can transforms into human have jobs. Read it,”
Katherine opens the letter, because she wants to read what her Skye send her.
Dear Katherine,
Aster refused to marry me because I told him I was pregnant with his kid once again but he is saying that it’s not his child. With all the tests it’s proof he is the father but he won’t believe me, I don’t know what to do. Plus, Aster has been cheating on me with another woman. Also, Dad is not doing so good ever since you put him in jail for something he didn’t do. My mom hasn’t been doing well either; she’s been in the home for sick patients after a stroke, and the doctors think she will never recover from that. I know you know people.
Skye
Katherine just stared at the letter and let out a laugh, amused that her father never told Skye about his ties to the supernatural world. She secretly hoped Aster would never marry Skye, especially now that Skye had experienced the pain of being cheated on. As for her father, Katherine knew full well that he was in jail for helping Samuel with his escape plan, not for some misunderstood crime, and that he was well aware his ex-wife was alive, married to a man who truly loved her, even knew about pregnancy. Not wanting to deal with Skye’s drama, Katherine flicked her wrist, setting the letter alight with a spark of magic, before turning back to her tea. Still, something nagged at her thoughts—she couldn’t help but wonder: who was Melody’s real father?
Katherine, still mulling over the letter and the question it raised, spoke aloud, “Fire Fye, answer me this. Is it possible for a baby to have two different fathers in the supernatural world? I know in the human world it can happen.” The air shimmered briefly, and the faint scent of smoke filled the room as Fire Fye manifested, her eyes glinting with ancient knowledge. she replied, “In the realm of the supernatural, such things are not only possible but have been witnessed before. Magical beings often carry unique traits that can allow a child to inherit powers or attributes from more than one father, especially when strong supernatural lineages are involved. It all depends on the magic at play and the nature of those involved.”
“Come to think about it, Melody must sleep with the vampire first and Noah. The vampire gene must be strong then werewolf gene. Well, I have things to do in the morning I better head to bed before the three little one wake up and crying for their next bottle feed,”
Katherine got up and took her teacup, placing it in the sink before turning off the lights. She quietly made her way to the bedroom, where her three babies were peacefully asleep. With a gentle touch, she picked up their bottles and set them on the nightstand, deciding to wash them in the morning when the house would be awake and lively.
As she slipped under the blanket and settled her head onto the pillow, Katherine let her eyes drift shut, feeling the warmth and calm of the moment. Within seconds, she was transported into the soft embrace of dreamland, grateful for the brief respite from the chaos of her day.
