Chapter 72

Chapter 72

Sam frowned as he looked at Matt, who had suddenly appeared.

After a long pause, he said slowly, "Excuse me, who is this?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Matt stared at the man before him with a half-smile.

"The woman you're hitting on is my fiancée." Matt's expression turned cold.

"Really?" Clearly, Sam didn't believe it at all.

"I've been a regular customer of Susie's, but I've never heard anything about her having a fiancé."

"So, you're questioning who I am?" Matt moved closer to the man.

The intimidation from his height and gaze made the atmosphere particularly tense.

"So, you're not wearing the ring I gave you?" Matt said, reaching out to grab Susie's hand.

Sure enough, there was no ring on Susie's hand.

"Where's the ring?" Matt asked with a frown.

"How can I wear such an expensive ring when my hands are fixing cars?" Susie retorted. "Alright, go back to your car and wait for me. Please don't scare away my customer."

"So, my little wildcat, are you taking this fat guy's side? I think I'm getting a bit jealous."

Matt moved closer to Susie, close enough that his nose could clearly smell the motor oil on her.

"Alright, stop it," Susie tried to push Matt away with her elbow since she was wearing gloves.

Unfortunately, Matt stood there like a huge rock, not budging an inch.

"I think what you should do now is give the two of us some space alone." Matt turned to look at Sam.

Sam looked disappointed. "Oh, Miss Susie, tell me this isn't true, that this man is lying."

As he spoke, two bodyguards in black suits rushed in.

"This way, sir." Sim made a gesture with an expressionless face.

"Is this a threat?" Sam stared at Sim with displeasure.

These two bodyguards had made him lose face completely in front of Susie.

"Sure, if that's what you think."

As he spoke, Sim and Nick had already worked together to escort the man out.

"Oh, that's my customer. How could you treat him like that?" Susie frowned at Matt.

"I think he needs to pay for his mistakes," Matt murmured.

"And you, my little wildcat," Matt gently pressed his hand on Susie's waist. "Wait, at least let me take off my work apron."

Susie cried out.

"I really can't bear to see black motor oil getting on your white shirt."

"My little wildcat is always so thoughtful," Matt chuckled.

"This is my work time. I'm only giving you five minutes," Susie looked down at the watch on her wrist.

"Five minutes isn't enough. You know what I'm capable of," Matt curved his lips slightly, smiling as he whispered in Susie's ear.

While the two were flirting, a girl walked in.

"Oh God, I think I came at the wrong time."

When Roddy walked in, Susie was pinned against the workbench by Matt.

"Oh, Roddy, it's not what you think."

Susie pushed Matt away somewhat awkwardly and hurriedly stood up to straighten her clothes.

"Of course, we're all adults."

Roddy waved at Susie with a smile, then lowered her voice and said to Susie, "Nice taste."

As she spoke, she looked Matt's muscular build up and down.

"Oh, handsome guy, you look really familiar." Roddy couldn't help saying.

The next second, she said, "I think I remember now. You're that guy who was playing bondage with Susie in her apartment."

Susie choked on her own saliva.

"Don't talk nonsense. There was no bondage. That was just a misunderstanding," Susie explained anxiously.

Compared to Susie's urgency, Matt was quite calm, quietly leaning against the desk, watching his little wildcat panic.

"Misunderstanding? Stop making excuses, girl. I saw with my own eyes that he was tied to the bed without clothes."

Roddy got more excited as she spoke, her eyes involuntarily moving down from Matt's neck all the way to his lower abdomen.

Then, turning to Matt for confirmation, "So, sir, we've met before, remember?"

Seeing Matt unmoved, Roddy continued to remind him, "In Susie's apartment."

She added, "You weren't wearing clothes, tied to the bed by Susie, like a poor little puppy."

Finally, Matt couldn't take it anymore and said slowly, "You're wrong. I was wearing underwear that day."

Hearing Matt's defense, Roddy couldn't help but laugh.

She nodded in agreement, "I guess that's right. But even through the underwear, I could tell you're pretty well-endowed."

Then, Roddy looked at Susie, "So, I think this gentleman should be a pretty good partner, right?"

Seeing Susie didn't respond, she added, "I mean, although his temper doesn't seem great, at least his performance in that area is pretty good, right?"

"Enough, Roddy, stop talking." Susie couldn't help but interrupt Roddy.

"Isn't sharing what good friends should do?"

Roddy looked at Susie with fake grievance, "Susie, my best friend, don't tell me that now that you have this man, you're not going to be as close to me as before. If that's really the case, I think I'll be sad."

"It's not like that. Can you please stop making trouble?" Susie sighed.

Seeing that Matt was just smiling and watching this scene without any intention of helping her out, she became even more annoyed. "So, don't you have anything to say?"

"Well, I do satisfy Susie quite well in that area," Matt said with a smile.

"Oh my God, what did I just hear, Susie!"

Roddy stared at Susie excitedly.

Susie was almost at her breaking point. "I don't think that's what I wanted you to explain."

"So, I think we should find a place to sit down and have something to eat, and then explain things to your bestie." Matt smiled at Susie.

"Fine, I guess you're right," Susie sighed. "After all, you've already driven away the only customer in my shop. I guess I need to give Maddie a reasonable explanation."
