Chapter 73
"Of course, I don't mind going with you to explain either," Matt said to Susie with a smile.
Susie snorted, "You don't seem to be very good at explaining."
As she spoke, she didn't forget to glance at Roddy, who was smirking nearby.
"Now, let's pick a decent restaurant," Matt suggested.
"Roddy likes to eat..."
Susie was cut off mid-sentence by Roddy.
"As long as it's expensive, I like it. The more expensive, the better."
"Looks like this lady seems to be testing my financial capability for you," Matt said with a smile, staring at Susie.
"Is that not allowed?" Roddy stared at Susie provocatively.
"Looks like I've got a same-sex rival now," Matt chuckled.
"Alright, I think I should probably have them bring the car over first," Matt said, taking out his phone and calling Sim.
"Find the most expensive restaurant you can, I'm treating a beautiful lady to dinner," Matt said.
"Got it."
Soon, a black business van pulled up in front of the repair shop.
Roddy looked at the impressive black van and walked around it in surprise. "Am I seeing this right? You probably can't find another one like this on the whole street."
"Of course you're not wrong, beautiful lady."
Gian got out of the car.
He loved teasing new friends.
"Gian, show some class, don't act like a street thug," Sim reminded him.
Then he looked at Susie and spoke up, "Miss Susie, who is this beautiful lady standing next to you?"
"She's my best friend, Roddy," Susie introduced.
"Hello, Miss Roddy, I'm Gian. Do you have a boyfriend?"
Gian smiled and extended his hand to Roddy.
"They always love to joke around, just ignore them," Susie explained to Roddy with a laugh, then took Roddy's arm and headed toward the car.
Matt was left behind by Susie.
"Oh, Matt, looks like you've fallen out of favor," Nick teased.
"I guess so," Matt sighed.
"Roddy looks like she's going to be tough to deal with," Gian said quietly to Matt.
"So?" Matt stared at Gian.
"Never mind, let's get in the car. If needed, I'm willing to sacrifice myself," Gian said to Matt with a smile.
Mark and Somme whispered to each other, "Looks like Miss Susie's best friend is more attractive to Nick than that blonde woman from before."
At an elegant Western restaurant, Sim had already arranged a private room in advance.
Susie and Roddy sat side by side, and Roddy whispered to Susie, "Looks like you found a man with serious money."
Susie nodded, "Maybe."
Roddy secretly gave Susie a thumbs up, "Although he has some special kinks, with his financial power, these things seem tolerable."
The topic inevitably circled back to Matt being tied up by Susie.
"Oh, baby, I swear, that was just a misunderstanding."
Susie sighed, "I think I shouldn't have gone to that Halloween event at all."
"My little wildcat, stop chatting with your girlfriend, at least you should introduce everyone first, right?" Matt deliberately interrupted their conversation.
Yes, he was indeed a bit jealous.
Because since he and Susie got together, no one had been closer to her than him.
Well, except for this best friend of Susie's who suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
"Matt, my boyfriend," Susie introduced to Roddy with a smile.
"To be precise, fiancé," Matt corrected.
"Susie, what did I just hear?" Roddy stared at Susie in shock.
"You're engaged? And as your best friend I knew nothing about it?"
"Sorry, Roddy, I didn't mean to hide this from you, I just didn't know how to explain," Susie answered.
Then she introduced Matt's men to Roddy one by one.
They all seemed very active today.
Susie couldn't help but smile, "Looks like you have a fatal attraction to the boys."
"Don't change the subject. You better find time to explain this fiancé thing to me properly," Roddy said, frowning at Susie.
"Alright, I hope you won't find this ridiculous," Susie sighed.
She turned to look at Matt and couldn't help complaining, "You messed up all my plans and made my work today a complete disaster."
"My little wildcat, are you mad at me?" Matt said, staring at Susie with a smile.
"If so, I think I'll make it up to you tonight, until you're not mad anymore."
Susie seemed to hear a threat in Matt's tone.
"So, are you two going to keep showing off in front of me the whole time?" Roddy stared at Susie unhappily.
"Of course, you can also eat this delicious steak."
Susie pushed the cut steak in front of Roddy.
Having a boyfriend and hiding it from her best friend—no matter what explanation, Susie was in the wrong.
"Oh!" Susie suddenly remembered something and looked at the men, "I forgot to ask, what did you do with my customer?"
After all, that was one of Susie's regular customers, and if she lost him, Susie thought Maddie wouldn't be happy.
"Don't worry, Susie, we were very gentle with your customer. We sent him back in one piece," Gian joked with a smile.
"My customer better be fine, or I'll come after you guys."
Susie warned the men in front of her.
"Of course!"
"We just warned the man that Miss Susie has a fiancé. I'm sure when that man comes to Miss Susie's shop again, he'll watch what he says."
"Alright, I hope you were friendly to him," Susie sighed quietly.
"So, not only did you find a guy who likes bondage games, but he's also the jealous type?"
Roddy teased while enjoying the steak on her plate.
"Well, I guess you're right," Susie sighed helplessly.
"Miss Roddy, which one of us would you like to take you home?" Matt asked.
