Chapter 26 Jealousy looks good on you!
Chapter 26 Jealousy looks good on you!
Grace
About an hour later, I got a text from Theo and it was the address as agreed. I hurried into the bathroom and had another shower just because I wanted to be perfect for him.
That silly girl is akways on with her fashion and beauty, and it’s not like I’m intimidated or anything. I just want to put in more effort and get my man hooked the second he set his eyes on me. And by the time I’m done with him today, he’d never look at another woman the same way again. He just might never even see them anymore.
That’s how much wildness I plan to show him. I’m going to be so naughty like he had never had before!
I already picked out a sexy short dress that made me look crazy sexy. I did my makeup, styled my hair and then drowned in my favorite cologne.
I made my way downstairs but the minute I saw Evelyn with a lady, I just knew I’d be delayed.
“Ohh Grace, thank goodness you’re here already. I was just about to send someone to get you. Please come over.” Evelyn exclaimed while I rolled my eyes when she wasn’t looking.
I slowly made my way to them and the lady smiled at me broadly. A gesture that I had to force to return.
“This is Evelyn, your wedding planner. Evelyn, meet Grace, my son’s fiancé. You will be planning their wedding.” Evelyn let out while the lady quickly rose to her feet and stretched out her hand to shake me.
“It’s nice to meet you, ma’am. I promise to give you nothing but the best. Your wedding is going yo be the talk of the whole city. I guarantee you that.” She affirmed while I took her hand and smiled.
I never asked for a loud wedding or a small one, or any one at all but who am I to say no and then become the bad person. They can plan all they want but I know I’m not getting married to no man that’s not Theo.
“That’s great, and Grace is fine please. Let’s do away with the formalities. Thank you.” I replied.
“Of course, I only give what my clients want and if that’s it for you, then it’s fine by me.” She affirmed and then sat down.
“You can take a seat too so we can start.” Evelyn chimed in.
“Uhm… actually now is not a good time for me. When you told me earlier, I thought you mean much later in the day. I already have plans. I’m meeting with some friends and I can’t cancel now. I was hoping she’d coming later when I’m back too.” I explained.
“Ohh… I’m sorry about that but she’s here now. Can’t you just cancel? They’re your friends after all.” Evelyn replied while I looked pitiful.
“It’s because they are my friends that I can’t cancel on them. We’ve been planning this for over a week and I’m even the one in charge. Canceling would give the impression that I don’t value what we have. And I don’t want to that. I can’t leave them hanging.” I insisted.
“So what do we do then? Fix another time?” Helen finally chipped in and I turned to her.
“Ohh you’re so sweet. Yes, it’s be great if we can agree on another time. How about you let me have your number and we can discuss that later?” I quickly said.
“That’s fine by me.” She replied and then proceeded to exchange numbers with me.
“I’m so sorry,” I added and then hugged Evelyn tightly.
“It’s okay, go be with your friends. You look nice by the way, you should probably call Matt when you’re done and make him take you on a date. I’m sure he wouldn’t be able to take his eyes off of you the whole time!” She replied and we all laughed it off.
I left them to it and just went on my own way. I would have asked the driver to take me but I didn’t want anyone in my sneaky business so I hopped in the car and zoomed off.
I was soon at the restaurant and I asked for Theo at the entrance since he told me he made reservations.
“Okay ma’am, come with me please.” The nice waiter said and then turned to leave the way but I gently pulled her back.
“You know what? I don’t want him to know I’m here already. It’s a surprise kind of so can you just point me to where he’s seated and I will handle the rest.” I let out.
She stared at me for a long second as if in doubt and contemplating if I was telling the truth or planning some drama.
“Okay then,” she finally replied.
She gave me directions and I went on my way. I stood at a distance and saw he was still with the lady. Knowing she’s involved with Matt, it didn’t seem like a good idea to walk up to Theo at that moment. So I turned around and went to the the next floor. I chose a spot where I could conveniently see them but they couldn’t see me.
I ordered some juice and was slowly enjoying my drink while watching them. Just as I expected, the lady was looking gorgeous in her designer outfit and if I didn’t know better, I’d saw she’s interested in Theo. But then, who is to say she isn’t. The fact that she’s been with Matt or still is doesn’t mean she can’t want Theo too.
I hope for her sake that she isn’t though. She already had Matt and I don’t give a shit but Theo? No one is taking him from me. I will never let that happen!
“Is that jealousy I see on your face?” A voice suddenly rang behind me. It was oddly familiar so I turned in a hurry and it was exactly who I thought it was.
“Rosey?” I let out while still doubting if my mind wasn’t playing tricks on me.
“Yes, in flesh and blood.” She teased and then sat with me.
“What are you doing here? Is your husband around? Or wait, you guys are here with Matt?” I quizzed while she rolled her eyes tiredly.
“Ohh please, relax. You’re always overthinking things and a beauty like you shouldn’t be bothered by such nonsense!” She blurted and though it sounded harsh, it slapped me back to calmness.
“I’m here for the same reason you are.” She added while my mouth curved into a curious confusion.
“And what do you mean? You’re here for a drink? That’s nice.” I chimed in and she laughed.
“Stop playing on my intelligence please. I know you’re here for him.” She said and then looked in the direction of Theo which surprised me how she knew.
“Don’t try to deny it because we both know it’s true. And you don’t have to get worked up over how I know or that I know. Whatever you choose to do is none of my business. I probably… nah… I definitely already did worse and still doing more. The other day, I told you that I don’t love my husband, how do you think I get my satisfaction then?” She quizzed…
