Chapter 27 Desire

Chapter 27 Desire
Grace
I stared at Rosey in unbelief. I wouldn’t have believed if she wasn’t the one telling me herself but even at that, this felt too much of a confession to be telling me. What if I tell Matt and he then tells her husband. What happens then?
“You trust me that much?” I finally got back my voice while she looked at me and laughed.
“Ohh you expect me to not tell you things like that? Why? So you don’t tell your man? Well, I know you can’t so I’m not bothered and I’ve always told you that my husband trusts me so much. He would never groove anyone else over me.” She simply replied.
“Back to my real matter. I’m not here to judge your decision. If you think there’s a man out there who satisfies you and gives you joy, why not? By all means, please go for it. We only live once after all so you should live to the fullest.” She chimed in and I finally laughed.
“That’s Theo, Matt’s elder brother.” I finally revealed but my heart was racing as I talked. I still didn’t know if it was a good idea to confess to an affair.
“Oh my goodness! You’re damn good at this too. And here I was, thinking you were a novice not knowing you’re up there. You’re messing around with your man’s elder brother? Girl, you’re damn good!” She exclaimed and though I blushed, I still cautioned her to be more quiet.
“Actually, they are step brothers so I hope that makes a difference.” I retorted while he playfully rolled her eyes.
“No ma’am, it makes absolutely no difference and why are you even bothered? Just enjoy yourself and stop disturbing yourself about things that can be fixed later on.” She let out and I slowly nodded.
“I never wanted to get married to him or anyone else for that matter. I just wanted to live my life, meet people, create a strong community and relationship but my family had other plans for me. They arranged my marriage and only told me after the whole plans had been set in motion. I still tried to stop it but nothing worked.” I explained and I saw sympathy build up in her face. She leaned forward and reached for my hand over the table.
“That’s so unfair, no one deserves to put their life on a pause just because some people think they know the best for them. You should be allowed to live your life on your terms.” She chimed in and I nodded.
“I know right. That was why I disappeared on my engagement night. Everything seemed okay and people were having so much fun. Everyone else but me. I was too scared of the life ahead. Even my so-called fiancé doesn’t love me. I’m just a means to an end to him. That night, I sneaked out of the party, went to a bar I could find around and then started drinking to drown my misery. That was when I saw Theo. We both didn’t know anything about each other. We just connected and then one thing led to the other and we made love all through the night.” Rosey smiled when I got here and I could tell she was impressed.
“Well the next morning, I ran off thinking it has ended there until I was into his new brother who just got into the city for our wedding. It turned out to be Theo and I almost passed out immediately. It was a plot twist I wasn’t expecting at all.” I let out and she did a dramatic drum roll on the table.
“I’m so enjoying this. I only see it in movies. So your Prince Charming turned out to be your husband’s brother? Talk about a crazy but sweet plot twist.” She retorted and I couldn’t help but laugh at that point. I soon infected her and she burst into laughter too.
“Well, he’s not my Prince Charming yet and no, Matt is not mg husband. I have no plans whatsoever to marry him!” I let out and she gasped.
I know she certainly wanted more details but thankfully for me, I looked up and saw Theo was done already.
Rosey also looked in my direction and saw it too.
“Your man is done.” She muttered with a little big disappointment on her face.
“Yeah, I better go over to him.” I said and then took my drink.
“We should meet some other time soon so we can finish our discussion. I’m so interested in this, and besides, it gets boring at home so if you don’t mind, we could meet at my place. And trust me, you won’t regret it. I’m a good host and you might just decide to come everyday after you experience all the fun stuff I have for you.” She said.
“I have no doubt about that.” I said and o wasn’t even trying to stroke her ego of something.
She’s a really nice person and I can already tell she’d be a good company. People like that are usually good hosts so I have no doubt about her.
“Awwwn… thanks for that. I’ll call you soon then so we can agree on a time.” She added and I nodded.
“Of course, let’s do that.” I said and my eyes caught Theo again.
This time he was on his feet while Anna pulled him into a tight hug. She held him passionately and wouldn’t let go easily. It was obvious it was kindof more than just business to her.
“Hmmmn… looks like someone has her eyes on your man already.” Rosey hummed playfully while we shared a knowing glance.
I didn’t say anything though, I just smiled.
“We will talk later, huh?” I retorted and we hugged it out.
We both downed our drinks and went in separate ways.
“Hey,” I whispered and Theo immediately turned around.
We locked eyes and I saw the eagerness in his face as he scanned me from head to toe, feasting on every part of my body.
“You don’t know how much happy I am just seeing you in front of me. I feel like pulling you into a tight hug right now and I don’t think I’d be leaving you till my hands start to ache.” He let out slowly…
