She is such an ingrate

She is such an ingrate
Chapter 15~ Dante's POV

\===============

After leaving the hospital with a burning rage inside me, I headed for my car and I stormed in a composed manner.

Entering the car, I sat in the driver's seat and held on to the wheel. I looked confused as I began pondering what I just experienced with Valerie.

"Is she possessed or what?" I muttered to myself.

"Not that, I called her or anything, but she should act grateful even if she doesn't feel grateful for all my help," I continued.

"If not my intentions for her, I know how to seek my revenge this instant, but slow and steady does it, surely she would come crawling back to seek my help," I ranted.

With all my vented words in the car, I took a deep breath and drove off, leaving the hospital.

After some hours in the drive, I arrived at my parents' mansion. Driving into the garage, I got out of the car, and then I was greeted by one of the employees, who came to help me carry my bag. "Welcome home, Mr blaze,"

But I ignored him, as my anger towards Valerie's behavior was still fuming inside of me.

Arriving at the house, I still wore a frown on my face, as I greeted my parents with my nose blocking my words. "Good evening,"

Noticing how I acted, my mother was forced to ask what the problem was, "Son, are you okay?"

Taking my seat on the couch, I was reluctant to respond.

"Was it one of the staff that angered you?" Dad wondered.

But I still refused to say a word, so I turned to lying as I feigned the cause of my annoyance.

"It's one of my former colleagues in places I worked at; she got me angry, and I saw myself acting like a fool."

"Is it something you want to share?" Both of my parents questioned.

"No, I'm good, I'd just go to my room and take a shower," I opted.

And so my mother added, "Before you go into your room, I wanted to tell you that there will be a family dinner of just three of us, but your father suggested we invite Valerie as a means of our gratitude for showing you around and for being supportive towards you."

Scoffed a little as I gave a fake expression of happiness, "Sure, it's great, just let me know when it would be so I can make myself available, Mother," I said.

"Okie-dokie," She responded as I took my step in going into my quiet space, which was my special room.

The fact about this room is that it keeps my sanity in check, and I tend to feel whole again as I would be alone with my thoughts.

Eventually, I reached the room, and trust me when I say this, from the moment I met Valerie, the time I spent inside this room is far more than I have ever spent with my parents.

Going into the room, I locked the door behind me, as I turned on the disco lights and began living in my zoned world of relaxation.

And it's in that room I spent my night and prepared to revitalize my brain for another Valerie drama.

Then the following day arrived, and the sun shone into my room, serving as a means of reminder that it was morning.

I slightly opened my eyes as I heard the whisper of the birds, and so reflex action took over, as I dressed up hurriedly, but still maintained my steady composure as a reminder that I am the boss of my company.

So I left the mansion and drove off with a prepared breakfast by my mother.

Fifty minutes into my timing, I arrived at work and settled into my office. I instructed Ruth to get me a cup of coffee, and without wasting time, she brought it, so she left instantly.

After her dismissal, I leaned back on my office seat, while sipping my coffee and having my breakfast, I began reminiscing about the day's work, and surprisingly, not having Valerie cross through my thoughts.

While I was still lost in my relaxed mood, I suddenly heard a Knock on my door.

Immediately, I dropped my cup of coffee as I sat in a coordinated manner. Then I voiced out, "You can come in."

Only for me to realize it was Valerie entering my office. I couldn't hide my annoyance towards her as my calm demeanor instantly shifted, so I shouted at her. "What do you want now, Valerie? Have you not embarrassed me enough?"

Still, on her stand, she didn't utter a word but stretched out a file to me, as she said eventually, "This file contains all the new projects we will have to work on later this week, I decided to get done with it before you call on me, to have enough time to get extra jobs to pay what I owe you,"

Already getting tired of her silly attitude, I blotted out in annoyance as I said.

"Valerie, please, I didn't react when you asked me to leave the hospital but you coming to say these words to me even though I just helped you with the bills out of humanity is enough to get me upset, stop acting like an ingrate because your boastful ego won't lead you anywhere, saying thank you won't make you died,"

Rolling her eyes after my utterance, she turned her back to me and left the office without saying a word in response.

After she left, I felt so disrespected, and I wondered what punishment was befitting to her, so I said to myself, wearing a grin on my face, "Clipping your wings is a must-do for me, and trust me when I do it, you won't even see it coming."

With that, I began my work for the day, as my interest in returning to my breakfast was eliminated by the growing anger within me.
