Chapter 193 - A MIRACLE SILVER WOLF
192. Tamia's POV
Finally!
I was so happy that one could have thought that I was the one who was newly wed.
I was so happy for Aurora that it was showing.
She had finally gotten married to the man she loved.
I was happy for them and wished the best for them.
I also hoped and prayed for her to get children because I knew that would make her the happiest.
She deserved to have her own family.
After they left, we dealt with the issues of making sure that everything returned to where it was and started arranging the mass wedding at Silvermoon Pack.
Without Kira and Aurora here, it meant that our jobs had doubled but it was okay.
They had held everything down when we needed it and they never complained.
So, we moved to Silvermoon where everything was to happen.
The first thing we did was to ask those who wanted to be formally married to register.
And, surprisingly, we got two hundred and theory six couples.
This just showed how bad the situation had been at Silvermoon and how unconcerned Logan had been.
After identifying the number of the couples that wanted to get married, it was time for preparations.
This was such a huge number that the two months Aurora and Kira would be away were not going to be enough.
So, we decided not to give it a timeline until all the preparations were done.
By preparations we meant cakes, wedding dresses and suits for the grooms.
Their best couples would also need dresses.
The venue would also be bigger and that meant more flowers and decorations and such.
But those weren't a problem.
The biggest issue was cakes and dresses.
We needed each couple to at least have their own cake.
This would be a wedding like has never been seen in the wolf world.
I would make sure that it was talked about for years since it would be broadcast live.
The first thing we, myself and those who were helping me, did was ask the women concerned what type of dresses they wanted.
I knew it would be cheaper to make one type of a dress but then, it wouldn't be meaningful to them.
Since I had decided to help, I decided to go big.
I thus sent people and I myself also went to each home asking them what kind of a dress they wanted.
We had different samples from different wedding gown designers and for each woman, we marked the dress she wanted and the designer.
For the men, we did the same.
We couldn't go with the slogan of 'a suit is a suit'.
That took us a whole week because we could not rush it.
We wanted this thing to look and be real for these women.
Though there would be many couples, we wanted each to feel as if it was their day.
After we were done with that, the next one was to ask them about their preferred type of flowers and we got several.
I knew this would not be a problem seeing that I had imported flowers for Aurora's wedding and as such, I knew who to call for what kind of flowers.
After that was done, it was time for the cakes.
As with the dresses, we asked each woman what cake she wanted with photos of different cake houses and what they made.
This took yet another week.
After we were done with that, we couldn't carry all the people to town for the measurements raking.
That would have been a hustle and it would have taken a lot of time.
So, we compiled a list of the designers who had been chosen and how many dresses each would make and we had a loss of about twenty.
We thus called them and made appointments for them to come to the pack.
Some were humans and we had to be very careful when they came lest they saw any wolf.
An announcement was made asking all not to change on that day and if it was really necessary, they would better do it in the privacy of their homes.
We started with these designers who had to make a lot of dresses.
They would come and as given, those whose measurements were to be taken came and it was like a small gathering in the main ballroom of the palace.
This activity took two whole weeks and a month and a half had come and gone just like that.
We were both so busy that the days just flew by.
As I was involved in the wedding preparations, Kira was helping the elders in running the pack and going around making sure that the factories were doing well.
He had to make sure that they were because he was our largest investor and we needed to return his money.
We had signed an agreement of ten years but my strategy was, if possible, to pay that debt within five years.
And by the looks of it, it would be possible.
After the measurements of the dresses and the suits were taken for everyone who would be involved in the wedding, it was time for the cakes.
For this we did what we did with the dresses.
The cake houses that were chosen were to come to the pack with samples for tasting and taking specifications.
This took longer because of The tasting and everyone taking their time.
They knew we were not rushing them and so, we asked them to take their time and to choose that cake that made their salivary glands water.
Three weeks went like this and Kira and Aurora came back in the middle of the tasting and I have never been happier to see someone.
At least, Aurora would take some work off my hands and control those who were in charge of organizing everything.
As I dealt with the food, Aurora took over the venue and the date was set.
It was eight years after the pack had a ceremony for the turning of new wolves and we planned it to be the same night.
It would be a grand celebration of the weddings and young wolves coming of age.. Because of all the activities, it meant that the wedding had to start a bit earlier than the normal two hours to midnight.
Everyone agreed with this and there was a celebratory mood all over.
As the day drew nearer, the jolly mood in the Air increased.
When the dresses arrived for fitting, the women were happier than I had even imagined.
Who would have known that such a simple gesture would make someone so happy?
All was set, food, venue, dresses, cakes, rings, flowers, everything was set.
Even the new clothes for all the boys and the girls who were expected to turn in that night were ready.
This would be the first grand celebration in the pack.
It was previously celebrated yearly but it never happened since Logan took over.
The young ones were celebrating and they were visiting the shrine everyday hoping that they would all turn and find their mates that night.
There were always cases of late bloomers and even those who didn't find their mates in their cohorts.
And no one wanted to be a late bloomer because that meant two things: one, one would still turn and feel their wolf or two, one was a mute.
No one wanted to be a mute because those were the lowest in the wolf world.
They were picked upon because they were neither wolves or humans.
But as nature knows how to balance, it was always, or at least almost always, that mites turned to have other gifts.
Mutes became the best doctors, they could smell when someone was sick, some could read weather patterns, others were seers, and others even became oracles.
So, there was no telling.
Majority wanted to turn and become betas or alphas so that they could join the elite forces of the pack.
Such was nature and we accepted it wherever it places us.
I was among those who had learnt not to judge anyone too early.
Look at me... I was born an omega and here I was... a beta.
A week to the mass wedding, Aurora got sick.
It was very rare for a wolf to get sick and as someone who had spent several months in a hospital dealing with patients, I could right away tell what was wrong with her.
“Aurora, you aren’t sick. You are just carrying a child,” I told her as I helped her rinse her mouth after vomiting.
She jumped and looked at me.
“What? Are you sure?” She asked me and yes, I was sure.
And true to my words, we did a home test and it was positive.
“I am going to be an aunt.
Oh, my Goddess! I am going to be an aunt!” I said excitedly as I jumped about.
“Why are you more excited than me?” She asked me and I calmed down.
“Okay, I won’t say anything until you tell Kira and you better do it quickly.
You know I can never lie to your brother,” I said and went to the kitchen to make her ginger tea to hold her stomach down as she got used to the fact that motherhood was beckoning.
