Chapter 194 - A MIRACLE SILVER WOLF
193. Tamia’s POV
The D-day was here and celebrations were all over the air.
My life was so happy that I could barely recognize myself.
I tried reconciling the person I was today with the person who had lost both her parents and suffered in the hands of Logan and it didn’t look like it was me.
It looked like it had been a very bad dream that I was almost forgetting.
This powerful Tamia had been a timid submissive omega one day.
I couldn’t believe it.
I always looked at Killian, my children, Aurora and Kira and wondered what good karma I had gathered over the years to have it this good in this life.
That was why I made it my mission to help others because if it was good karma, I wanted to accumulate more for the next life.
Seeing the smiles in these women’s faces as prepared made it all worth it.
I was happy that they were happy.
I was the happiest to serve them and make their lives better.
It had been decided that the wedding would start once the moon was sighted and it was sighted at exactly thirty minutes to seven.
We were waiting on Kira and Killian to tell us that the men were ready and already in the hall for us to take the women.
To make it easier on everyone, we had arranged them in alphabetical order according to their family names.
This was to make sure that no one felt bad in the position where they stood in the hall.
When Killian called and told us that they were ready, we were also ready and waiting.
So, we started our match in the hall and we stood at the doors and rang the bell to indicate that we were ready.
We had arranged them in a queue. Each woman with her guide and her best maid like that.
When the doors to the hall were opened, everyone stood up as smooth music dominated.
They matched and each stood by her husband for they had also been arranged according to their numbers.
When they had all entered, everyone sat and the oracle started the ceremony.
Since they were many, they could not take individual vows because of time and as such, they took one common vow.
“Now, we start with the ladies, please say your full name and then say the vow that had been written for you in the paper you are holding,” the oracle instructed and that was what they did.
Each said their name and then said the words on the paper.
After the women were done promising their husbands humility and submission, it was time for the men to do the same.
The men promised love and protection.
As if.
I wished I had known the kind of a vow they had but I had also forgotten that the oracle was an old fashioned guy and he was bound to write something so outdated.
Anyway, as long as they were happy.
After the vows, the couples were presented with bowls where they dropped their blood and it seemed that the old man was ready this time for he had already made the mixture to be mixed with the blood and the male escorts of the grooms had been trained on what to do.
They mixed the blood with the concoctions and after the oracle prayed to the Goddess, they each took a gulp starting with the women and then the men.
They were asked to wash their wedding bands with the remainder and after that, they slipped the ring onto the spouse’s finger.
For these couples, they were given just an hour for the period when a wolf couple is supposed to consummate their marriage because they were already married.
This one hour was to allow us to rearrange the hall into dining tables and bring out the cakes.
When they came back, everything was ready and people were already eating.
The eating was interrupted by the cake cutting session and it was all merry.
People sang, ate and drank and danced until eleven in the night.
That was the moment when the girls and boys who were hitting seventeen were to be brought to the edge of the forest for the anticipated transformations.
Each had an older sibling or a parent or an aunt or an uncle to guide them through the process.
This guide was considered as a second guardian if it wasn’t the parent.
There were twelve teenagers a
In total.
Such occasions were celebrated because it was the birthing of the generations that would hold the pack tomorrow when we were gone.
We thus had to show them that they were important and that we would always be there to support them.
The roof of the hall slid open and the side that faced the darkest part of the forest was also opened and the children were asked to stand outside where the full moon at midnight would shine on them.
This was the monthly full moon that carries a lot of powers and it was believed that the moon goddess was always on it blessing her children.
The oracle had a lot of work that night seeing that after officiating the wedding he also had to bless these young ones and offer them to the goddess.
At exactly midnight, the screams started.
I heard bones crack and bend and the teenagers were screaming their hearts out.
I remembered the night I turned and I was so lucky that I had my dad with me to guide through everything.
Although they are always taught and prepared for those first transformations, the theoretical know-how doesn’t help in the actual process.
It is the bones that we always have in our human form that break and start forming wolf joints.
It is so painful because one can literally feel then break and bend and tear flesh as the human body is twisting and turning to accommodate the wolf.
Some even faint due to the pain and others feel like running away and that is why they usually need a guide.
After turning, they are now taught how to control and hold that shape for as long as they want; otherwise, one with a weak mind would keep on turning to a wolf then to a human and such.
The pain lessens with each turn as the bones form and the skin acclimates to the changes.
It is like we have an elastic skin that never tears when accommodating each shape.
Luckily enough, everyone turned in this bunch.
Their parents were even happier than the children themselves and to make things even better, two were mated with their peers and another three found their nates in the crowd.
It was a happy night because after that, they wore their new clothes and we went back to the party.
I had to go back to the palace and check on the children who had been taken back earlier and because my body needed rest.
Killian came with me but Kira and Aurora stayed back because we wanted the Silvermoon wolves to get used to them.
They are the ones we will leave to be in charge here and we wanted the people to start getting used to the idea of them being their leaders.
My body was tired and I thought it was the fatigue of the past five months when we were preparing for all this.
“You really need rest. Good rest.
We should take a vacation before we come to have our wedding first.
We can’t have you preparing another wedding looking this tired,” Killian said and I agreed with him.
I fell in bed fully clothed and I felt Killian undress me as if in a haze.
I had been tired and I was waiting for this night to come and be successful so that I could take a good proper rest.
“Why am I this tired?” I mumbled as I felt Killian sponge my body.
“Or am I catching a bug?” I added and I heard Killian laughed.
“If you were to catch a bug then the rest of us would die,” Killian added and laughed again.
I was stronger than all of them and that meant that for my body to be able to hold all that power and still be intact, I could hardly get sick unless…
I sat down with a start with all the fatigue leaving me.
“What? Why? What’s wrong? You startled me,” Killian, who was giving me a sponge bath asked and I stood up like a zombie and walked towards the bathroom.
I took a pregnancy test strip and Killian, who had followed me, stood there watching.
“You think you are….
Oh, my moon. You think you are pregnant? We are having another Baby?” He asked all excited and I looked at him.
I looked at him as I peed on a cup that was on the sink and wondered how I got such a good man.
He was excited even without knowing whether it was true or not.
I didn’t want to disappoint him but I had to make sure that I had not caught a bug.
