Chapter 31 I Love her

She was still sitting on his lap when Ayden told her everything about falling in love with her which she found quite funny. The way he abused her was anything but love.

He asked her to turn towards him in order to see her face and she did. Adjusting herself on his lap, they were now facing each other.

“Why weren’t you scared of me that day? Didn’t I look dangerous to you?” He asked, caressing her face.

“You were in danger and most importantly, you seemed nice.” She replied what was true. But clearly, she didn’t know how to determine people.

She was a girl who never judged people from their appearance. That day too, she saw a man in pain and not some criminal. He smiled at her honest reply.

“Did you think of me after that day?” He asked.

She remained quiet for some time and then spoke, “Yes, I did.” She did think of the man she saved. Little did she know that she would be entangled with the same man again.

Ayden smiled at her and pulled her closer to him by putting his hand on her waist. With his other hand, he caressed her lips with his thumb.

Leaning closer while their bodies touched, he gazed into her eyes. He kissed her lightly on the lips and then his lips moved slowly to devour her taste.

Eve threw her arms on his neck and kissed him back. The tip of his tongue ran on her lower lip, teasing her. Then his tongue entered her mouth to explore her completely.

As the kiss deepened, his hands caressed her neck and back while her hands moved towards his face.

At last, he sucked her lower lip before leaving and again pecked her lightly. Running wild, he kissed her chin and her neck.

“Ayden..” She moaned his name when he kissed her on the neck, asking him to stop.

Inhaling her scent, he stopped himself because of her. She was on her period and looked tired. He knew that if he could not control himself at this time, then it’d be impossible for him to stop later.

But he didn’t want to cause her any problem. He wanted to be happy with her. In order to do that, he needed her to like him. And that’s why he was trying to change…for her.

“What did you like about me that day?” She asked in curiosity.

“Everything, baby. Your voice took me out from the haze I was in. You were looking at me with eyes full of tears, worried about me.” He said, caressing her face.

“I still dream of that beautiful girl crying for me that day.” With a smile, he said.

‘That’s how it started. Sometimes, your kindness can harm you like that.’

She wanted to cry out loud but no words came out from her mouth. She wanted to get up, but her knees felt weak.

She tried to fight the thoughts inside her mind by not thinking about them but couldn’t. After failing to stop those thoughts, she hugged him all of a sudden, leaving him in surprise.

“Are you alright?” He asked, drawing back from her to look at her face. But she snuggled closer to him.

“Please, can we stay like this for some time?” She said softly.

“As you wish, Mrs. Knight.” He replied cheerfully while patting her back. They stayed there for some time.

After that, he picked her up and put her on the bed. Then laying down close to her, he hugged her to sleep. Eve sighed and then closed her eyes to shut the thoughts knocking at her mind, trying to barge in forcefully.

One more month passed on, and thanks to Freya’s pills, Eve was again successful in her plan to not to be pregnant. She had to endure being there for just 2 days. After that, the NSF will come and save her.

When Ayden got to know about her not being pregnant for the third time now, his reaction was not good. It was the third time when the same thing happened to them and now he was anxious.

“Let us meet the doctor again.” He said in a frustrated tone and then walked away from the room.

He went to Bryan’s room directly for some work related matter, but he wasn’t there. Instead of him, Freya was there which was quite surprising.

“Where is he?” He asked and she stood up and walked towards him.

“I don’t know.” She replied.

He was about to leave when she held his hand to stop him. He released her hand and turned towards her, looking in anger.

“Ayden, don’t go. Just listen to me once.” She said, coquettishly.

“Are you fucking mad? Do you know what you’re doing? I’ve been observing you for quite some time. Don’t forget your limits.” He seethed.

Freya’s behaviour wasn’t normal. Ayden knew that she had feelings for him but he ignored her completely from the time he was asked to marry her.

After she got married to Bryan, he thought she’d forget him as he was a mere crush of him. But she proved him wrong. Even after having a baby with his brother, she still had eyes for him.

“You know…it was you always.” She said moving closer to him but he took one step back to maintain distance from her.

He was already mad after hearing Eve wasn’t pregnant even this time and now here she was, making him angrier.

“Shut the fuck up. You’re married to my brother and you’ve a baby. Now, stop this act of yours!” He said and turned away to move out of that room. But she ran and stood in front of him.

“I’ll leave them both for you. I don’t love Bryan and that brat also. Please Ayden.” Ayden pressed his eyes tightly to control his anger.

He opened his eyes wide, staring at her with anger filled eyes.

“She doesn’t love you and I don’t love Bryan. We will be happy together. I’ll take care of you.” She said, moving closer to him.

Now, this was the end of patience for Ayden. He grabbed her neck and pushed her to the nearby wall.

“Just shut this fucking mouth of yours. Even if you were the last woman left in this world, I’ll still not look at you.”

When she thought she was lapsing into unconsciousness, Ayden left her. Regaining herself, she was in no mood to let him go.

“She…hates you.” Freya said, breathing hard.

“But, I love her. And soon, we’d be a family of three. Just stop this obsession of yours. You’re the wife of my brother, that’s why I’m ignoring you for the last time. Don’t try this again. I will not be this generous again.” He threatened her but to his surprise, she started laughing.

“A family?...” With a laugh, she continued, “I don’t think she wants the same as you.”

Ignoring her, Ayden was walking out from the room when she shouted from behind, surprising Ayden.

“She is on pills!” She shouted, making Ayden stop. He glared at her and she gulped in fear.

“How do I know this? I gave her those myself. I didn’t know she was that clever.” She replied in a playful tone.

“Ask her yourself.” She said, when he saw Ayden giving her deadly glares.

He walked out of the room, exhaling deeply. What she said might be true and the thought made him even more angry. He was trying to change for Eve and what she did was pure dishonesty.
