Chapter:74 A new Pawn

Zena was sitting in her previous seat, all looking very pretty as usual even though her dress is not that expensive but it finds a way to make her look outstanding and pretty.

Although the death of her coursemate totally made her sad because he was the person she actually saw at the grocery store where Mercy had bought snacks which made her wondered

Was it Mercy's chase that made him run into a vehicle or could it be he went for another crook and he was hit because he wasn't looking while running over the road,

Zena chews words in her mind while she seat like she was actually following up on the lecturer's class sermon,

However, Zena felt really bad but she was able to control her emotion as she keep up with her pretend to look,

“So today, we shall take on review for those of you that joined us this wee-”

The lecturer's voice was so loud that it cut Kate's attention and she thought of having a glance, she had a snap glance at the lecturer but her peripheral view slam into Zena and she could recognize Zena quickly because Zena had one outstanding,

Kate was not shocked at seeing Zena and hatred sprang immediately from the depths of her heart that it boils out as it could be seen on her face,

Kate POV

I'm literally not surprised by her presence but what is shocking is that we are actually in the same department,

This could be very disturbing because I get to see this bitch my entire time till I get to leave this school,

But wait a minute!

keep friends close but keep your enemies closer, these proverbs can really be perfect for this situation,

I need to keep an eye on her and watch her every move, so this could be right.

I smile the moment I had an idea to deal with Zena, I was watching her behind the door, and she couldn't not because she was entirely a big fool, a fool housefly that follows the corp.

So I got to my class a few minutes later, it was like the lecturer knew I got things to do when he postpones his quiz and gave an assignment.

The class was missed and I was happy to get myself for the plan, but guess who nailed me into a frustrating state,

Ever since I helped her to secure the hostel and another necessary arrangement the school had offered she had been a pain in my neck,

Maybe today I get to be off her clutches when she finally meets her old-time runaway friend, Zena!

She waved at me from the door, and the moment the lecturer left she got herself in class.

And one more thing about the crazy fellow which made me wonder how did Zena get to put up with her attitude is that she can't be quiet for a moment,

Today is her week 2 on campus but it fills as I have been with her for more than a decade,

“I have this article I need to share with you, please can you put me through it?” Maria acquires but Kate was sluggish to respond to her question that Maria was standing in front of Kate's desk and her friend, Glenn hollered,

“Can't you see she is not in the mood to have a chit-chat with you, or don't you have brains?” Glenn viciously said as she sat on her desk that was three seats away from Kate but Kate had to hush her from saying any more words while she said to Maria,

“I will help you out, but on one condition?”

“What condition?” Maria impolitely demands,

Kate slides her sweater sleeve up as she unintentionally reviews her ankle and she folds her arm while sitting on her seat.

Her eyes were a bit raised to the velocity level Maria was standing and she asserted,

“I want you to tell me exactly what you will do if you ever see Zena here on this block.”

And Maria growled,

“Did you see Zena?”

“No, not at all!

I was just saying since both of you wrote exams together who knows” she affirm sincerely that made Maria believe at once which also calm her nerves and she replied to Kate,

“I thought you had seen her, and I was ready to give her my piece of mind of how heartless she is” Maria reported,

I'm truly happy now, that I get not to do the rest of the job but my pawn will efficiently do the job as I lure her to take in prisoners and her wings will be cut off like an impaired caterpillar that can not change into a butterfly.

I was gazing at the paper article Maria had given me but my attention was totally different from the suppose of what she wanted me to do.

After a few minutes, still could not solve what she asked of me, in other not to keep her waiting because I can not wait further for my game to start checkmating so I let out,

“Why don't we do this later, while we go to the car and get the note that will probably assist us with your article”

I gladly request, leaving a happy face while waiting for this crazy bitch to respond, and a few seconds Maria affirmed,

“Okay then!”

Then we immediately left the class, all three of us, we bust into the foyer everywhere seems swept out as the lectures in Zena's class had equally ended, making me sad that we are late and might not see her anymore.

Then we got to the exit and the moment we opened the door, we slam into a mob of students in the territory some catch up with vehicles others walked fast like they got valuable things to do.

But we got lucky when Maria hollered beside me,

“Zena!” Maria loudly hollered as she double walks to meet up with Zena.

Kate watches Maria as she walked close to Zena, and Maria points in Kate's direction in other to introduce Zena that she had finally peg with Kate.

I observed them from a distance, and truly my plan is still sparkly because I could see how Zena's face has changed drastically indicating that, whatever Maria is telling her really got to her emotion, and it was a win for me.
