Chapter:73 His Fate

That's my mom!” Zena loudly whisper and smiled at Mrs.Mercy to the car.

At that same moment, she left Marcus and joined Mercy in the car, and they drove,

It did not take a while for Mercy to ask,

“Some guy?” she asks and glances at Zena and returns to her driving motion instantly because she notices the smile on Zena's face.

“Yeah, some guy!” Zena took a loud breath release and Mercy ask,

“Tell me more about him.”

It was like as if Zena was actually waiting for the moment and she immediately start explaining,

“Could you believe I almost knocked him out today?

Of all days, my first day at school!

Initially, I was pissed off by my lecturer's attitude, he made my day difficult but not I met Richard that helped me out”

“Woo!

Nice name Richard!,

So is he in the same department as you?”

“Yeah, we are in the same class!” Zena answered,

“Really!, but he looks a bit older than a 100-level student.” Mercy asserted that was when Zena recollect who she was asking about and she said,

“I think you are getting me wrong,

Shit, I forgot to get his name!”

“Who?” Mercy asked in a concerned manner,

“The one you saw me talking to, he is the person I injure but I could not get to have his name, while Richard is my classmate.”

“Oh, I see!” Mercy announced as she drives her car to another lane because she is close to the junction and she asks,

“Do you care for a snack or anything?”

“Anything will do!”Zena replied and Mercy parked at the grocery store, carefully turn off the ignition key, and got down of the car she added,

“I will be right back.” she left the car and walk into the store.

A few seconds she entered a group of young adults walked into that same store and

Zena had recognized one of the people that entered the store at school so she relax while waiting for Mercy.

Suddenly one of the people ran out of the store so fast like a crazy person and later the remaining two ran out too, which ignited Zena to know what is happening because the window glass of the car was wined up so she could not hear a thing.

Zena look again from the front windshield and saw Mercy coming out with two cups in her hand as she walked very fast straight to the car Zena ask,

“What happened there I saw my school running out as something had chased them,

Do you know if anything had happened?” Zena requested and Mercy said,

“They were arm rubbers, without guns!”

“Rubbers, they came to rub the store?” Zena asked and Mercy replied

“Yeah, they did.” she starts the car and accurately revise it while they drove home.

Marcus POV

I like her the moment I saw her, and she knows I like her because she returned the same energy I had given her.

Zena!

Nice name, I guess she is a new student, probably one of those that got admission,

I have to check the school portal.

So I brought my iPhone from my pant and the moment I woke the screen I got messages from our baseball team.

“There will be no training today, it has been shifted till further notice because of the poor weather.”

I loudly read it out to myself,

Thank God!, I finally have time for Facebooking, but that will be after I check the school portal.

I search through the admissions list and her name was not there,

Which made me wonder, what level she is at.

And how come I have not seen her before on this campus?

Because she is a pearl that can't be hidden, those especially those green eyes of her,

I closed the school portal page for Facebooking, and my news feed timeline was filled with Drake's birthday wishes.

“Son of a mother fucker!” I yelled to myself the minute I bump into his post on people's timelines that was wishing him happy birthday.

So back to the Zena chapter,

So where has she been all this while that I had never heard from her,

Anyway, I'm lucky today because I don't have to wish Drake a happy birthday.

I was sitting at the school cafeteria snacks shop when I got the message about the change of training time.

Since it was not going to be possible quickly drank my soda and left to my car.

Since it has been raining very heavily all day, the road was quite slippery and anyone driving needs to be careful.

I was driving down the road that leads to my house when I saw people gathered at a spot.

At first, I never wanted to stop but I was waived to stop which I did and it was an accident that had occurred, just a stone's throw from the local supermarket.

Shortly after I parked the person was carried into my vehicle and we drove straight to the hospital after when one of the savers gave me the injured person's wallet.

The emergence of doctors was fast that they immediately starts attending to him.

Life supporting machine was installed and he was taken in immediately to the surgery room.

We waited and waited, and some person left, but I was steadfast not to give up on waiting.

I wanted an extra hour, and I was out of my patience then I stood up to leave.

The moment I turn my back to the reception side a doctor came and said,

“Are you his relation?”

I just said yes because my car was used to bring him down here and the doctor added after he had placed his place hand on my shoulder,

“I'm sorry we lost him!” at that moment I could not format what I heard, but it did not take seconds when I recollect what he said and I busted into silent tears.

I have no idea or the students the deceased hung around with but I am sure that if we take a good look at his belongings we might see a lead, then I remembered putting his wallet in my pocket.

Immediately, I opened his wallet and saw his address and family number which is a clean means that leads us to his family.
