ROSALINE
Russo had gone out. He had something to take care of and he said he was going to be back soon. Something told me that Russo didn't go out for official business.
He had gone out to take care of some personal business and while I understand fully well that an adult would have personal business to take care of, I could not help my curiousity.
Had Russo gone out to see the woman from the charity event? Would he give me a response if I asked him about her now? I mean after the whole misunderstanding thing happened, he would probably not want more misunderstandings between us so he would tell me who she really is, right?
Or was he out for something else and I was just here thinking to that woman everytime?
I don't know why I found it so hard to forget that woman. To forget her, I had to know her who she was first.
And the thoughts that kept getting into my head about Russo recently were... Were thoughts I was a bit scared of.
I tucked my hair behind my ears and focused a little bit more on the TV show I was watching. It was a romance show, of course.
But I had only watched for a while before my phone rang. I glanced at the screen, expecting it to be Russo calling but it wasn't. It was Rick.
I gasped loudly, grabbing my phone. After what happened last night with Russo threatening to kill him. I should have called to make sure he got home safely.
How could I have forgotten to call and ask him? Okay, I was fucked all through the night... Yeah, even after the dinner.
But I should have called him this morning. I am such a hat friend.
I picked the call quickly.
"Rick, I am sorry I haven't called. I am really..."
"It's alright, Rosa" he cut me off gently.
"Are you fine? I hope he didn't hurt you?" He asked and I sighed in relief. At least Rick wasn't mad at me.
"No, not at all. He didn't hurt me" I replied.
"Do you want to talk about what happened last night? Your uncle almost killed me and he looked very serious about killing me."
"That's not exactly how it is. Everything that happened last night was just one huge misunderstanding that should not have happened"
"Really? It didn't seem like so, Rosa. I heard you accusing him of killing your parents. Did your uncle really kill your parents? And is he trying to hurt you? You can't stay with him anymore, Rosa. He is going to end up harming you and we can't have that happening"
"Rick, no. He didn't kill my parents. Like I said before, it was all a huge misunderstanding that should have never happened. My uncle didn't kill my parents and he isn't trying to hurt me. I am not going to end up being killed or hurt by him"
"Rosa, are you sure?" He sounded worried.
"Very sure! He would never hurt me" I said the words softly, feeling my stomach tighten with a familiar sweetness.
"I still don't feel assured. And now I am even more afraid of him than ever. Your uncle looks like the type who would really kill" he replied and I pressed my lips into a thin line.
Of course, Russo was the type to really kill and there was a chance that if he wasn't out there with the woman from the charity, that he would be planning someone's death or killing someone right now.
"He is really not like that. Things have just been... Bad between the both of us because of a misunderstanding, like I said so he had to resolve to that extreme measure to solve it. I am sorry you had to get involved in it" I apologized and Rick sighed.
"Since you sound so confident, then I will put my mind at a little bit of ease. "
"Thanks. How do you feel now? Hope you weren't hurt yesterday?"
"Not really. At least, it was nothing much. Uhm... Your break off work is ending today, will you be back to work tomorrow?"
"Yeah, sure. Definitely will be there"
"I can't wait to see you. We should go out after work and perhaps celebrate your birthday then since we missed the chance to do so."
"Yes, absolutely" I agreed.
"Uhm, I love you Rosa" he said over the line and I chewed on my lip, not knowing what to say in response to that.
"Thanks, I guess?" I mumbled in an unsure response.
"Bye, see you tomorrow" I added quickly and ended the call.
Rick would get the feelings over with soon, hopefully. I glanced at the time on my phone. It was quite late already so when was Russo going to get back home.
I didn't have to think much though as his call came in right the next second.
I picked the call up instantly.
"Hey" my voice was a bit more gleeful than it should be.
"Hey Sunshine" his deep voice cooled me a lot.
"You aren't back, are you going to be very late?" I asked.
"Quite so but I will try to be home within the next hour. Don't strain yourself to stay awake though, go to bed without me" he replied.
"It's just an hour, I'll wait"
RUSSO EL MASSIMO
I ended the call and slipped the phone into my pocket before looking towards the body bag.
"Done, boss"
Rio was dead and according to my Sunshine's wishes, I had given him a simple death. He started begging for death the very moment he set his eyes on me and I was sure he was surprised when I pulled my gun out.
Two shots was just too simple but again, my Sunshine's wishes.
"How should we discard him, boss?" Matteo asked.
"How about we ask his father?" I asked and pulled my phone out of my pocket.
I dialed Giovanni's contact and although it was late at night, he picked up at the first ring.
"Russo" he gasped my name and I could feel the fear in his voice.
"Guess what?" I had a smile on my face.
"Russo... Are... Are you going to forgive Rio? Are you going to let him go?"
"Let him go? Yes, yes. I let him go to hell" I chuckled.
"Choose, Giovanni. Shall I bury him or shall I dissolve his body in acid? Or do you have some other requests to make?" I asked and heard him burst into tears.
"Nah, don't cry over the fucking phone. Just give a response before you start crying" I groaned.
"Do whatever... Do whatever you wish, Russo" his voice was filled with malice and anger and it suited me just fine.
It wasn't my fault that his son was a rapist who got away and tried at it again, this time with a gang rape and it most certainly wasn't my fault that his son had come across my Sunshine.
"Alright then. I will take matters into my own hands and show kindness to you. It would be great to have something to bury, wouldn't it?" I asked him as he cried.
"Your cries annoy me" I groaned.
"And isn't this just time to bring home your illegitimate child that you have been hiding for years? It might be time" I reminded him and ended the call.
"Matteo, deliver the body to Giovanni's home so he can at least bury his son quietly. And tell him I laid emphasis on the 'quietly'"
"Yes boss."
Now, I had one more person to take care off. A very irrelevant person whose death would cost me close to nothing and no efforts to take care of.
Mr. McAllister.
