Chapter Forty-Six| So Perfect?

I woke up feeling a slight ache on my back and I groaned as I laid on my stomach in my bed. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I slowly got out of bed dragging myself to the bathroom.

After brushing my teeth and doing my face routine, I walked out of the bathroom to the living room and paused once I heard light snoring.

Slowly walking over to the couch, I found Jason sleeping with his arm hanging from the couch, his mouth was slightly open, he looked younger in this position. I found myself bringing my hand over to his face and tracing his jawline with my finger.

"Why are you so... perfect?" I whispered to myself and at that exact moment like a horror scene, a beautiful horror scene, he opened his eyes and stared right into mine. It felt like time froze just for a second but I quickly grounded myself and pulled my hand away from his face turning around.

"Good morning," he greeted and I could hear him get up from his lying position on the couch. "I'm so-" his voice got stuck in his throat and I turned around wondering what was wrong with him but I quickly got my answer once I saw where his eyes were fixed.

They were fixed on my thighs, I had forgotten that he was here and didn't bother to change out of my camisole nightdress that only covered fifteen percent of my bottom half, shifting my weight from one leg to the other, I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Seeing that you're alive and well, you can get out of my apartment," I said pointing to the door with my head and he sighed, rubbing his neck.

"Lia-"

"Out."

"Okay, can I use your bathroom first?" he asked and I shrugged, turned around and walked to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea.

Boiling the water, I grabbed my cup and the memory from last night invaded my thoughts, slowing down my movements.

I got out of my car right in front of the pub and zipped up my sweater before walking towards the door. I had just grabbed some random pants that I could find from my clothes and a sweater as soon as the call ended.

Opening the door to the pub, I found Jason mumbling away about something as another man just stared at him tiredly.

"Hi?" I spoke out and they both looked at me. "I'm Amelia, the girl you called."

"Oh thank God you're here, I was just getting ready to throw him out," the bald-headed man said and I softly chuckled walking over to Jason. Why am I here? I thought as I felt my heart beat rapidly against my ribcage.

"Thank you for not doing that," I said and looked back at Jason who was looking at me with a wild smile. "Come on, let's go."

"You came for me," he slurred smirking and I turned around to walk towards the door knowing that he'd follow, instead the guy stumbled and tripped over his own feet, luckily the man caught him before he hit the floor... that would've been something great to see.

"I'll take him," I said to the man throwing Jason's arm over my shoulder pulling him outside which took ages since he wouldn't stop talking and stopping to look at the man.

"This is my buutyful Amelia, isn't she gorngeous?" He said excitedly to the guy whose name I learnt was Keith, for some reason I thought he was Roman.

"Hmm," Keith responded and Jason unexpectedly pressed his lips against my cheek, making me huff in annoyance.

"She's super angry at me," he whined and I rolled my eyes pulling him so that we could get a move on but he still had a lot to say to Keith.

"Why's that?" I guess this guy probably has a degree in psychology or he was just really interested in what Jason had to say to him, after all he's been talking to him the whole night and I guess the news becomes much more interesting when you see both parties involved.

"Can you just shut up, Jason?" I said through clenched teeth and he laughed rubbing my hair with the hand that was over my shoulder.

"See, at first I thought she was angry because I didn't tell her I loved her first," I stood still listening to him and my eyes opened in shock. What did he just say? "But then I realized that she's angry at me because I don't trust her, and I believed her father," he said and suddenly what he had said before vanished from my mind and I tugged at him.

"No shit, Sherlock," I grunted and we finally made it outside the pub.

"Why don't you trust her?" Keith asked and I was getting annoyed with this but I guess a part of me wanted to know something.

"Because she's perfect, she's everything I want, and something so pure and perfect scares me," he admitted and I looked at him from the side of my eye. "I want to marry you one day," he said, chuckling and pinching my cheek. Pulling him a few more steps we made it to the car and I helped him into the backseat, I should've just let Keith help me, fuck.

Walking back to Keith, I pulled out my phone and sent him Chris' and Jack's numbers. "Uhm, if this ever occurs again, you can call these numbers instead of mine, they're closer to him than I am," I said and he nodded.

"Liaaaaa, baby. Let's go homeeeee," Jason shouted from the window that he just opened, making Keith laugh.

"That doesn't look like it," Keith said and walked away over to his car shaking his head still laughing. It must be fun to be a bartender.

I found myself pouring hot water into two mugs and I can't believe all that thinking from last night made me unconsciously make two cups of tea.

Jason walked out of the bathroom at that moment and I passed him his mug before grabbing mine and walking away from him to the living room.

"Amelia," he began and I looked at him from the side of my eye shaking my head.

"Don't say anything," I said and he slowly nodded his head and silently drank his coffee. Realising that this was stupid, I cleared my throat and spoke. "You said quite a lot last night."

"I did, didn't I?" he said and I nodded.

"I have a feeling if you visit the pub again, Keith might have some pretty good advice for you," I said amused and he chuckled.

"I probably let out more than I should've said."

"I guess you did," I agreed and he stared at me before speaking again.

"But it wasn't anything I didn't mean," he said and I looked right into his eyes before looking away and finishing my tea. "I should get going, thank you for the coffee and letting me use your bathroom and taking care of me last night," he said getting up and I looked up at him as he awkwardly pointed to the list of things he just mentioned.

"Yeah," I responded and he nodded before grabbing his jacket and leaving the apartment. I stared at the door he just left through and the surge of a new breakdown came upon me.
