Chapter 45: Chapter Forty-Five| Coffee.

Today was the day I had finally gotten around my plans of introducing Aurora to Rosie and hopefully would be the start of a new friendship between all of us.

I just thought she worked too hard and needed a break and have some girl time with people around her age.

Aurora and I were already at the coffee shop waiting for her, it was the day after I told Rick he is shit and I felt amazingly happy.

"You really can't stop smiling can you?" Aurora asked, grinning as she sipped her tea.

"You'll probably feel the same after you give birth to my niece and stop forcing her in," I said and she scowled, automatically rubbing her belly.

"Just yesterday you were talking about leaving her inside and letting her come out when she's ready."

"Well I wasn't ready for her yesterday but I'm well prepared today," I said pushing my chest out and she giggled, shaking her head.

"Best believe you're going to be babysitting a lot," she said threatening me and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh I don't mind, as long as she doesn't shit, cry, regurgitate then we'll be alright," I said and Aurora burst out laughing.

"Girl that's all babies do," she said and I giggled shaking my head.

"Sorry I'm late," a voice said behind us and we both jumped in shock and I saw Aurora holding her belly.

"Girl you almost scared Ora into labour," I joked and she smiled apologetically. "Although I would've loved it, I'm glad that you made it!" I said getting up and giving her a hug. "This is my bestie Aurora, Ora this is Rosie," I introduced the two and Ora gave her a pleasant smile and a friendly wave seeing that she couldn't really get up.

"It's great to meet you, Rosie," Ora said and not everybody would notice but her tone came out a bit low as if she wasn't really happy but was pretending to be happy but since I've been around her for a long time I immediately got the vibe from her.

"Likewise, Amelia always talked about you whenever she would force me to stop working," Rosie said and Ora giggled, shaking her head.

"That's Amelia for you, the talkative negative influencer," I looked at Ora in shock and laughed along with them.

"That is not true!" I defended myself and they gave out a squeal in disbelief.

"Well, from what I've seen, it is true," Rosie said and Amelia laughed nodding along to what Rosie said.

"Hey, I invited you here, and I'm your child's aunt!" I said to them and they both raised their hands.

"You're just the easier target, I still love you, baby," Ora said, pinching my cheek and I rolled my eyes taking a sip of my caramel coffee.

"Whatever," I mumbled and they laughed before Aurora continued talking with Rosie.

Asking her basic questions about what she's studying, what she enjoys doing and the type of men she likes. Yeah, it's quite clear that Ora is my best friend.

After about two hours of getting to know each other, Chris finally arrived to fetch Aurora.

"Well look at the neanderthal who can't stay away from his fiancé for a mere two hours," I teased and he rolled his eyes helping Ora up.

"I just came to save her from you, you probably were thinking of going for some more baby clothes shopping after this," he said and I bit my lip giggling.

"I was, a baby can never have enough," I shrugged and he shook his head.

"Luckily for you when you finally have one, your baby will have everything it needs because you bought it beforehand for ours," he said and I laughed.

"Whatever, Chris. I'll drop by tomorrow with some more gifts. Bye baby!" I waved at Ora and she blew a kiss my way before Chris wrapped his hand around hers stopping her kiss. "Jealous giant!"

"She's mine!"

"She was mine before yours!" I yelled back and he waved me off.

"You both are idiots!" Aurora yelled, making us both mumble. Looking back at Rosie who was quiet during the whole conversation, I touched her hand and she looked at me.

"You okay?"

"Yeah," she answered. "How do you guys know such hot men?" she whispered and I laughed, shaking my head.

"Hot? No, Chris isn't hot," I said shrugging and she giggled shaking her head.

"Right," she said sarcastically and I laughed with her. "Well I have to get going, I will see you later."

"Bye, Rosie," I waved my hand and she walked away, I walked towards my car and drove back to my apartment.

Entering my apartment building, my phone rang and I saw it was a video call from Ora.

"Did you leave something with me?" I asked as soon as I answered my phone, pressing the fourth floor, I entered the elevator and was grateful I was the only one in it.

"No, why would that be the first thing you'd ask me?"

"You're pretty forgetful these days, so what's up?"

"Don't you find that Rosie girl a bit weird?" she started and I laughed, shaking my head.

"You did not just call me to gossip about Rosie," I said laughing and she groaned into the phone.

"Listen, baby, Rosie is like you," she said and I frowned looking at her. "Chris tell her," she pointed the phone to Chris and he nodded.

"You guys have the same hair and the same colour shade of it too," he said and I bit my lip in thought.

"Plus you kind of dress the same but you look better in it because of your killer curves, you even had the same perfume on!" Ora said and after listening to what they said, I shrugged giggling.

"I hear you, but maybe she's just that way?"

"Really, A, really?"

"Look, I'll call you later," I said laughing and she sighed looking away.

"Just sit on the thought for me okay?"

"Okay, bye," I waved and she waved back.

Dropping onto my couch, I pulled off my boots and stretched out my feet thinking about what Ora and Chris just told me.

"She did have the same hair like mine," I said thoughtfully to myself. "Hmm, maybe she liked it and tried it out," I shrugged.

After taking a shower, I changed into my camisole and grabbed a book from the shelf before climbing underneath the covers. With one last thought of Ora, I laughed and opened my book and continued from where I last ended.

Three pages into the book my phone rang and I answered it thinking it was Aurora again.

"Yes, Ora?"

"Is this Amelia?" a deep manly voice said and I was shocked, pulling the phone away from my ear I saw it was a number I had never seen before.

"Yes, how can I help you?"

"I'm calling from Romans Pub, and Jason here is drunk so could you come fetch him, we're about to close and he's been sitting here wailing on about you."

"Uhm, how'd you get my number?" I gulped.

"This is the only number registered on his phone."

"There's no Chris or Jack?" I asked my voice barely coming out and the guy hummed his answer.

"Listen, lady, I'm about to close soon and he has to go, so can you please come get him?"

"Hey, you'll talk to my Amelia with reshpec!" I heard Jason's voice in the background and I sighed shaking my head, he is not your responsibility Amelia, he is not!

"I'll be there, please text me the address."
