Chapter three- Howling

Adira Skylar's Pov:

I was reading a book to help me sleep. It was 3 am. Suddenly, the room went cold wind was flowing from outside in my room. I was really sensitive to cold, so I stood up from the bed and went to close the window. When I touched the window, I heard a howling. It was faint but wild. The atmosphere suddenly felt creepy. I was scared. This house was right beside the jungle and not a single soul would be found within kilometers of this house. And I never heard a howling in my life. I gulped. Not minding the howling, I closed the window with all my courage.

Turning around, I was going to my bed. But again a howling sound stopped me. This time it was wilder but not faint. I could feel it was coming right outside my door of the house. Gathering all the courage I could have, I came out of my room. I took the umbrella that was laying down on the tea table. I tried to be silent as much as possible.

I went near the door and looked through the peephole. The creature I saw took my breath away. Of course because of the fear but it was so majestic.

It was a wolf. It was walking right outside my door and howling. But the thing that caught my eyes was its color. It was red. Body covered with red fur. So majestic. Just looking at it, anyone could feel it would not fuck with anybody. Or anyone would dare to fuck with it.

Too busy being mesmerized by its beauty, I forgot it was a wolf and was still showing its presence right outside my house. All of a sudden, it looked at me in the eye through the peephole. Did it feel my presence?

I instantly looked away. Its eyes were so intimidating. Those eyes were scarily vivid. They were horrid and hypnotic--emerald eyes. But its glance was gentle. And it had the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.

The wolf was approaching the door I could feel that. But I couldn't dare to look through the peephole of the door. I was scared of dogs, how could I face a wolf? My heart was beating so fast that I thought it could hear my heartbeat.

A bang was heard on my door which made my soul blown away. I was scared to hell. Another bang. Silence. Bang. Silence. I kept quiet. I didn't realize it but I started crying.

"Could you leave please Mr. or Ms. wolf? I'm really scared. Please don't eat me. Please!" I shouted crying.

"Am I going insane? Why am I talking to a wolf? God, save me !" I mumbled to myself.

Suddenly, I heard the howling again. But this time it was gentle. After a few minutes of silence, I stood up and looked again through the peephole of the door. I couldn’t see anyone. I sighed in relief. Did the wolf understand me?
