Chapter 48 Perfect body
"No." Irene shook her head. "But it won't be too bad to make another friend." She said, and then she shrugged, turning around to continue heading towards the bus."Who knows, I might end up having my own sleepover here at school."
They got to the bus right on time. The teachers had begun marking the attendance, and everyone was placing their luggage inside the bus.
"Stay safe, Irene," Tori muttered after successfully placing her luggage in the bus.
The buses were separated. Girls went in different ones than boys, for some reason.
"You too Victoria," Irene responded, with a small smile.
"I would say I love you, but I'm not cheesy and I'm not dying." Tori added before going into the bus, which caused Irene's smile to widen.
Irene then walked a distance from the bus and just watched it. She stayed there, watching as the parking lot that was filled with students and buses slowly began to vanish, one after the other, until they were all gone.
She stood there for half an hour more, lost in her thoughts before snapping out of it and walking back into school.
"This school feels so empty with everything gone." She mumbled as she passed the indoor swimming pool.
Wait...
She heard a splash coming from the door which was left ajar. Irene paused, her eyes darted to the door.
"Wait... Is someone in there?"
It wouldn't be that much of a surprise since they are about ten students left in the building.
But the people around were meant to be studying... Not swimming.
She contemplated it for a few seconds before walking backwards into the room.
Her eyes caught a figure in the water, moving fast. "Swimming?" She muttered moving closer.
Another sport Irene didn't participate in.
But this person... He or she... Definitely he from his physique, was phenomenal.
The person was fast, and each stroke was perfect. Irene, who wasn't a sporty person couldn't help but stare.
Her eyes lingered on his muscles... And his toned back. Just from his back side, she could guess that the person was ripped.
Irene's mind instantly flashed to Miles.
"Could it be him?" She thought, and then immediately shook her head. It couldn't be. She saw him get on the bus half an hour ago. That was one of the reasons Victoria didn't insist too much on staying with her. Because Miles would be going.
Then... Maybe it wasn't a guy from their class?
Some of their seniors stayed behind so they could read and focus on their upcoming exams.
Irene blinked as she noticed the swimmer heading towards her. She immediately hid behind one of the pillars, still watching him.
Before she could go back to trying to guess who the person was, she noticed that stopped swimming. He got to one of the edgeedges stopped before slowly rising from the pool.
Irene's lips slightly parted, and she sucked in a deep breath, her eyes following his every movement as he arose from the pool.
Irene ignored his wet swim shorts on purpose, not wanting to be too shameless.
Instead, she began staring from his upper body, her eyes tracing the muscles on his body. From his perfectly arranged six-pack abdomen, to his thick muscular chest, up to his biceps and triceps, and then her gaze slowly raised upwards to his... His face.
Wait... His face?!
"Enel?" She whispered, her face turning pale in shock.
Enel? Enel?! She had just been admiring, Nelson!
Who was that even possible? Was there something wrong with her eyes?
"Fuck." Irene cursed under her breath before quickly turning around, her face squeezing in disgust. "What is wrong with me? What is wrong with me?!" She cried in a low voice, gently hitting the back of her neck on the pillar.
She had never seen Nelson shirtless before. That was why she didn't realize it was him from the start.
So that means, he was the other student from her class who had opted out of the trip at the last minute.
Of all the people in that class... Why did he have to be him?
But damn...
"No... No no." She shook her head as soon as the memory of his perfect body appeared in her mind. She couldn't be like those other girls, having those thoughts about Nelson now... No.
Irene refused to believe her eyes. She was going crazy.
And she had to leave, now, before Nelson would notice that she was there.
With that thought, Irene took a few steps, wanting to rush out of the school's indoor pool. She had taken no less than five steps backwards when a voice suddenly called her back.
"So I was right about you being a pervert. But I prefer don't mind you staring..."
"Ahhh!" Irene shrieked in shock. He noticed her! He fucking noticed her!
When did he get out of the pool?!
She questioned herself as she stared at Nelson, who now had a towel wrapped around his waist. He had gotten out of the pool and was now staring at her, a side of his lips raised in a smirk. One that seemed amused.
Irene freaked out, and her body trembled, and so did her lips. She had no witty comeback to make, and was too terrified and embarrassed to run, she could only just stare... But this time at his face.
Irene tried her hardest to focus on the way his hair clung to his head, giving him this sexy and beautiful aura, and the way the water dripped slowly from his hair, down to his face, disappearing after getting to his neck.
Her cheeks flushed, she tried to look away, but his gaze held her in place
"I mean..." Nelson took a step closer towards Irene. "Do you like what you see?"
Irene brought out her tongue, licking the bottom of her lips, and an action that didn't go unnoticed by Nelson.
She unconsciously nodded, then immediately shook her head.
'What the fuck is wrong with me?' she mentally cried.
Nelson scoffed, his eyes glistening. He took another step towards her, and Irene, overwhelmed tried to take a step back... She was about to make a run for it.
At least, that was what she thought. But she didn't time her movement. Her legs got accidentally tangled, and she tripped over herself.
"Ahhh!" She screamed in shock, expecting you to fall face down on the floor. She shut her eyes tight, preparing for the pain... But it never came. Instead, she felt her hand being jerked the opposite way she was supposed to fall... And next thing, she collided with something wet, yet warm.
Nelson had reacted fast. He held Irene's hand, dragging her towards him before she could hit the ground. His hands instinctively went to her waist to hold her steady.
Irene's entire body froze. Her spine stiffened, and her breathing hitched. She slowly opened her eyes to see Nelson staring right back at her.
Her lips slowly parted.
"Are you okay?" She heard him ask her, but Irene was too mesmerized by his face... His handsome face she had constantly ignored.
Maybe it was because he was so close... Was that why he looked so good?
Seeing her so quiet, staring at him... The smirk on Nelson's face returned, and his brows arched slightly. "I didn't expect you to fall for me that quickly."
