Chapter 26. Baron has gone rogue.

Kirana's POV

From the chirpings of the birds, I could tell that it was morning already, my eyes were still sleepy, I stretched my hand to find Billy but he was not on the bed. I opened my eyes immideately.

I sat up and relaxed on the wooden frame of the bed, the previous nights event crossed my mind and I found myself smiling.

He did not just have sex with me, he made love to me, I can't believe I actually did it, for the very second time.

Just then, he walked in carrying a tray, it contained bread, butter and tea, there was also a box of chocolates and fresh hamburgers, how sweet.

"Hey Angel, how was your night" he asked with a broad smile on his face

"Splendid! As much as I can remember, all thanks to you" I smiled and he pecked me.

After breakfast with him, I left to freshen up. I don't know where this new relationship is leading me to, but that's a chance I am willing to take.

I got to the main door of our apartment, it was locked from inside so I dinged the door bell. Naomi opened it immideately.

"Kira! He is here" she muttered

"Who is here?" I asked curiously.

"Come see for yourself" she replied and drew me in.

I walked into the living room, and he was sitting there. I wasn't too shocked to see him, he is really good at tracking people.

"You followed me back here" I said solemnly and went to close the windows

"Who is he?" Baron asked sternly

"Who is who?" I asked in pretense that I didn't know who he meant.

"The guy from last night, I saw the way he was looking at you, the emotions in his eyes were easily cognisable"

"He is my boyfriend" I said solemnly and looked away. The earlier he knew, the better of us.

I could see the change of expression in his face

"You are joking right?" He asked.

"No, I am serious, why does it bother you" I asked

"Kira, you know you belong to me, no other person is allowed to have you, especially not a human" he fired

"Excuse me! I am not your property" I snapped.

"Yes! You belong to me and no mortal can come in between us, now get the scroll, let's go home"

I paused for a while and thought about it, then I concluded that I was not going with him, my mind was made up.

"No! I am not going with you" I stated in finality

"I was afraid you will say that, so I made back up plans"

"What are you talking about?" I queried in curiosity.

Immideately he dived behind Naomi and grabbed her, then held a small knife to her neck.

"Baron!" I yelled "what's happened to you" I said almost in a whisper. I was shocked by his action.

"Well I have always been denied what I want in life, so I have come in seek of power, the power of the Ancient seal, and once it's in my possession, I can finally have all I want in life, including you!" He snarled.

"I see, last night when I saw you, I knew that something was off, you are not the Baron I knew" I fired

"Say whatever you want, but if you need your little friend back, then get me the seal and the keys to the portal, bring it to the abandoned factory behind SASA, second floor" he said

"Wait! How do you know about the keys, and SASA" I queried as it dawned on me that he was not working alone.

"That's left for me to know, and for you to find out" he smirked

That doesn't sound like what Billy would say, but I am sure he is Billy, which means someone put the words in his mouth.

"And how do you intend to leave this place with Naomi, you will have to go through me" I warned.

I went into combat mood, the usual green eyes showed up and I was lifted into the air by a swirl of wind.

My air was blowing my loose curly blonde hair backwards, papers came flying around and the curtains were trying to free themselves from their hood.

"No Kira, I am not going to fight you... I will just vanish" he smiled.

"Shut up, Elves don't vanish" I retorted in anger

"But sorcerers do" he replied in a hoarse voice and immideately, the old sorcerer appeared.

"You?" I yelled in shock. I should have known "Aren't you supposed to be in Westham?"

"I have been wanting to ask you that, ever since I opened my eyes in Quebec City, instead of Westham, that's where my new partner found me" the sorcerer uttered

"Billy! You are working with the devil's incarnate, you need to put an end to this now!" I warned.

"No Kira, there is no stopping us now! If you don't show up tomorrow evening, then I am going to put an end to your little friends life" Billy threatened

I looked at Naomi, I could see the fear in her eyes, she was panicking, I know the sorcerer must have influenced Baron, I am going to give him the beating of a lifetime

"Since when did the mighty elf prince begin to murder people in cold blood" I asked.

"Ever since I put three arrows in your dad's chest and kicked him down a mountain"

His words came as a shock to me, I went back to normal and fell on the floor, is he trying to say that he has killed my father, the king of the most supreme kingdom in Westham, I was put in a state of shock.

I might be upset with my dad for his actions, but I never stopped loving him, he was my hero, and even though he had been away all these years, I wasn't sad because I knew he was still alive, I hoped to see him someday, to have him take me on a ride in his flying charriot, just like the old days, but Baron has destroyed that dream, he has smashed my hopes of reliving those long lost moments and I am going to make him pay.

I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize when they vanished with Naomi. The poor girl, why is it always her

Billy's POV

I walked to the ladies apartment, the door was wide open, so I walked in. I was startled when I saw the condition of the living room.

The whole place had papers littering around, the couch was turned upside down and the flat screen TV was in smashed bits on the floor.

The chandelier was not left out of the destruction, I can't even imagine how it had fallen and shattered

The room looked like it was invaded by an angry wind.

I looked around and saw Kira in a corner of the room, she was sitting on the floor, with knees pointing up and head bowed. I could hear her sobbing. Why is she crying? I ran to her immideately and held her shoulder.

"Kira! What happened? Why are you crying?"

She kept sobbing with her head still bowed. I was hurt to see her like that, I will not spare whoever responsible for her tears.

"Talk to me love, what's gone wrong" I asked and raised her head to face me.

She hugged me tightly and broke into tears

"Everything has gone wrong Billy, everything!" She stated admist tears.

My heart burnt with every year that escaped her eyes, I withdrew from the hug and wiped of her tears with my palms, then I held her cheeks and looked into her eyes.

"Love, you have to stop crying and tell me what went wrong, it hurts me to see you this way, just tell me what happened and I promise to make whoever responsible to suffer, I will make them pay dearly for hurting the one I love"

She sniffed in and tried to hold back the tears, then she looked up to me. I could see the pain in her eyes, I had that same look the day my mom walked out of my life and never came back.

"Billy" she called amist tears "all these years, all I wished from my ancestors, all I wished from my ancestors was the opportunity to have my dad back, even though he turned evil, I still loved him and hoped he will become his old self someday, I knew there were still some good in him and every second of my life, I awaited the day he would return to me, but... but now, that's never going to happen" she said and broke down again

I never realized that she loves her dad that much. I felt tears forming in my eyes

"Kira, please you need to be strong, tell me exactly what happened" I asked while drying her tears

"It's... it's Baron, he has taken everything away from me" she went

"Baron? Who is Baron?" I asked in curiousity.

She began to narrate the story to me, who Baron was and his relationship with her. The news of her father's death was a tragic one but what hurt more was knowing that his killer is still out there roaming Scot free.

Set aside her father's death, Naomi too was in trouble, how can we save Naomi if Kira is in such terrible state.

No, I have to get her out of this mood.

"Don't cry anymore Kira, your dad still lives, he lives in you, and as for that elf boyfriend of yours, come tomorrow, we will teach him a lesson he won't forget in a hurry"

"But how Billy? How will we save Naomi from Baron?" She asked

"He wants the scroll right? Well we will give him that" I said and smirked.

Mckzene's POV

I stood up from the bamboo bed, it was a new day, I felt much better and thanks to my fast healing abilities, the wounds on my chest were all healed up.

I walked out, that's when I noticed the house was a small hut with a thatched roof, probably a century old or more. It resembled a Hunter's shelter and I could hear the sound of water waves from the point I stood.

On one side was a river, the other side a forest

I walked towards the river and saw Eve sitting on a rock, throwing pebbles into the river. I approached her and sat close by.

"So, does this remind you of anything" I asked while admiring the water rush.

"Something like what?" She replied nonchalantly

"The day we first met" I said and chuckled.

"Well it was a long time ago, I don't think I remember" she lied. Yes I Know she is lying.

"That's no problem, I can remind you, I still remember it vividly like it happened yesterday" I said

"Hmm, I didn't ask you to" she replied bluntly

"Well, I am still going to" I insisted, and before she could oppose, I began "it was a sunny day, I walked to the beach and met this pretty lady sitting on a rock, she was throwing pebbles into the river, I got attracted to her at first sight, so I took a sit beside her, I tried to start a lively conversation with her, but she was a bit sassy"

"Oh really? Was I?" She asked immideately

"I thought you didn't want to hear it, anyway, yes... you were sassy"

"Mmmh" she mummered and looked away

"So I had an argument with that beautiful lady and she came to the conclusion that I was silly, so she nicknamed me silly boy and that's when she developed a crush on me" I smirked

"Hey! I never crushed on you!" She interrupted again

"Yes you did sweetheart, don't deny it" I chuckled.

"Hmm" she mummered again and looked away

"So I started stalking her, and one day I took her on a long ride in my chariot, then I proposed to her and she said, yes silly boy, I will marry you"

I could see her smile now, even though she tried to hide it, she must have remembered that special moment of our life

"You are right, but unfortunately you are not my silly boy, I lost him Eleven years ago" she replied sternly

I was hurt by her words, this is all my fault, has she stopped loving me?

I moved closer to her and held her shoulder

"Look at me Eve, I know I have changed a lot, I have gone through a wrong path and I have done terrible things, but I have realized my mistakes now and I have changed my evil ways, I know I have caused you a lot of pain, physically and emotionally, I can only beg for your forgiveness, I can handle your anger but I won't be able to handle it if you deny me, look me in the eye and tell me that I am not your silly boy" I said with emotions flaring in me

She remained quiet, she was trying to fight back the tears but no matter how strong a person might be, their emotions always get the best of them.

"Eve, please tell me that you forgive me, I want to hear you call me silly boy, that you still love me"

"Of course I love you silly boy, I have always loved you and I will always love you, but promise me that you won't do anything that will destroy our family again"

"I promise you sweetheart, your silly boy is back and I am never going to change again"

She smiled and hugged me tightly "I have missed you a lot" she said

"I have missed you too" I replied and kissed her forehead.

"Mm mm mm" that was the sound of King Trevor clearing his throat to make his presence noticed.

We let go immideately and he chuckled.

"That was quite a touching scene, but I think it's time we go find our kids" he said and we laughed.

"You are right, also I need to tell you something" I said "it's about Baron"

"I already Know that my dear friend"

"But how did you know?" I queried.

"The gatekeeper told us before we breeched into this world, don't worry about Baron, he has always had a bad side but I believe one year in Reformation college will put him back in place, he is my son after all"
