Chapter 89 Dinner With Peach
In the evening, Arabella was playing games on William’s phone, hoping to pass time while he was cleaning up the room and washing the dishes.
“Bella,”
“Hmm?”
“We have to go to the 26th Floor,”
She replied without looking up, “Why?”
“I have another floor for myself, to show others. It’s exactly the same as this one, just the room is different,” He explained.
“I am not going anywhere, I am not in the mood.”
“Then don’t show our room,”
“To who? Because if it’s Helena, I will,” She frowned, lowering the phone, furrowing her brows at him.
He stopped his work and came closer, “Peach is coming over tonight,”
“Peach? Why?”
Visibly discontented to know about her arrival, she placed her phone away and got up, folding her arms at her chest.
He sighed, “She wants to get the same pendant as yours. That woman is always like this,”
Her brows furrowed, “And you will let it?”
“Who can say no to the princess?” He muttered, obviously not preferring her either.
Confused when she was able to do whatever she wanted, Arabella finally asked, “I am curious who she is,”
“She is Peach Harrison, the only child, the owner of Galaxy Chain. The spoiled princess who got all the luxuries served on a plate.”
Her eyes widened. She knew Peach was an aristocrat but never fathomed she would be ‘this’ superior to others.
“One of the biggest work chains in the world? They owned a variety of businesses, right? From factories to airlines, shipments. It’s all hers?” She gasped, realizing what a high-class figure she was.
He smirked coldly, “Yes, every single business. It belongs to hers,”
That was why William didn’t like her, she got everyone one had to struggle for. Her wishes were completed before being said.
“And rumors even say they are involved in the mafia, is it true?” Arabella questioned dreadfully, completely against it.
“Not her, Ma’am says blood and violence ruins her grace. But, some of her family members are,” William shrugged.
“That is why no one dares to cross their paths with hers. She gets what she desires and when she couldn’t, she destroys it so others can’t have it too,”
“And…” She hesitated, he understood what he wanted to ask and replied monotonously.
“Luke and Peach were in the same university. He catch her eyes and since then, she follow his trails,”
“And that’s why he said those words to her… which you used in your favor,” She paused, glaring at him.
“Yes,”
“Look at you, having zero shame,”
Pointing his finger at her, his silver orbs shone with madness, bending his upper body forward to stare intensely at his most cherished one.
“You are before me so it’s worth it.”
“Tsk,”
Growling, she was about to go back to the room but he appeared behind her, stiffening her whole being at the proximity.
“No matter what you say or do, Bella,”
Held her shoulders, brushing his lips against her ear, confessing an undeniable truth.
“The delight of having you here compensates for any wrongdoing, guilt or sorrow,”
Her jaw clenched.
Taking a deep breath to hold her composure, she hit his sides with her elbow. He groaned as he didn’t expect her to hit him.
She snarled, “And one day, I will make sure you regret it all,”
“As long as you are here, I won’t,” he chuckled, rubbing the spot she hit with all her strength.
“We will see,”
Scoffing, she left and stayed in the room for the time being while William cooked dinner for them and soon Peach arrived.
Not in her usual elegant, classy dressing but a casual pink buttoned shirt with white pants, amplifying her charms perfectly.
“Hey,” Grinning, she waved at them.
“Welcome,”
“I thought you lived in 26th,”
“Both of them are mine. We like it here more, floor’s exclusive after all,” William quickly created an excuse.
“Ah, I see. Great,”
Unwillingly, Arabella also came out of the room greeting her as they all sat down for the dinner. Peach glanced and saw Arabella was not wearing the pendant.
"I believe William must have told you what I want,”
“Hmm, William told me,”
“So, where is the pendant you wore at the party? I would like to see it?” Smirking, she took a bite,
Stopping, Arabella placed the fork down, leaning back with an impish smirk and commented.
“I never said I will let you create a copy of it and get one for yourself,”
They both stopped.
“What?”
Peach looked at William who had no idea what stunt his bride wanted to pull this time.
William gave her a look- ‘Don’t test Peach’ but remaining unaffected, Arabella raised an eyebrow challengingly.
“That belongs to my husband’s late mother and I have no intentions of making a show of something so precious.” Arabella said honestly.
William for a heartbeat considered it a lie but her sincerity proved him wrong. Smiling emptily to herself, Arabella continued eating.
“Sorry but maybe not everyone’s every desires fulfills, Peach,”
Indulging in her reaction, Peach rested her elbow on the table, pointing the fork at Arabella.
“I believe William has told you I get what I want,”
Arabella glanced at William, “You are not the only one.”
She knew no matter how vile she could become, it won’t be nearly enough compared to what William did to get what HE wanted.
Faking a cough, William drank some water, poking her foot under the table to not speak something she shouldn’t.
“So you won’t show it to me?”
“No,”
“Fine. I will get my hands on the original design and get one for myself nonetheless,”
“Sure,”
Arabella smiled venomously as they both had a brief glaring competition before placing attention back on the food.
“I didn’t expect you to be a talk-back. I thought you were a submissive woman,” Peach said calmly.
“Oh, Peach, you know nothing about me,”
Arabella chuckled gracefully, exchanging a quick glance with William who failed to notice.
“I also like to keep what’s mine close to me,”
“Is that why you have captured William here?” Peach cracked a joke.
“It’s actually the opposite, William captured me here,”
William glared but smiling mockingly, testing his limits by remark, Arabella proficiently changed her wording.
“And I captured him in my heart,”
Peach hated how it sounded. Failing to comprehend the reason behind their looks and taunts.
“No matter what you have to lose huh?”
Peach said it for Luke but it made Arabella remember all her life where she was blind for William, risked it all, and whispered to herself.
“No matter I had to lose,”
In the end, she got what she prayed for after all. Just the condition was deadly.
The rest of the dinner went nonchalant where William didn’t leave Arabella with Peach even for a second.
Not giving her a chance to ask that one thing that could provide Luke with his serenity.
After the dinner where she gained nothing, Peach left.
