Chapter 118 Selecting New Home

Chapter 118 Selecting New Home
Peach was determined to manage every detail before the marriage. It was abrupt, yes, but she would accept nothing less than perfection.
“Ling,” she called out, her voice a low command. Ling, her first and most trusted Personal Assistant, was instantly at her side.
“Yes, Madam?”
“Ensure anyone who spreads malicious gossip about my future husband is no longer visible to me. I don’t want their noise in my vicinity.”
“Consider it done, Madam.”
Closing the file on her glass desk, Peach opened her laptop, “Emma, the wedding dress designs?”
Emma smiled, a bright, professional one, “All delivered. They are, as you desired, various shades of blush pink.”
“Hmm. I’ll review them. And Jimmy,” Peach paused to take a sip of her coffee, her eyes still on the screen.
“Did you finalize the arrangements for Luke?”
“Yes. He shortlisted several properties. He will pick you up at 5:00 PM to view them.”
“And his work, Lana?”
“It will be completely settled here before your marriage too, Miss Harrison,”
“Good job. All of you can leave now.”
Pleased when they all carried out their tasks proficiently, she finally smiled in the end, gesturing to them to go back to their break.
Later, Luke came to pick his woman up at the exact time.
“Madam, Sir Luke is here,”
“Oh, finally,”
Beaming, she had already wrapped up all her work, prepared to leave with him delighted and the second he arrived, he rushed to see him.
The employees saw the content dripping from her, they had seen their Boss being cruel, selfish, dominant, even childish, playful.
But, for the first time, they saw… happiness.
“Luke!”
The second she came, Luke smoothly slid his one hand across her waist while the other rested in his pocket, pressing her into him with a charming smile.
“Hey. Ready to select our home?”
“Yes!” She grinned, flushing at the keen contact. It had been years, she had forgotten how dazzling and cunning he used to be.
“And, thank you for helping me out with everything, Peach, I really appreciate it.”
“Oh, you are my future husband, if I won’t do favors for you then for whom I will?”
Clearing his throat, he opened the door for her, “Yes, yes, let’s go, Milady,”
They checked out a few properties, they were all fine but Luke left the decision in Peach’s hand to select their home.
After contemplation, she selected a mansion that had a sumptuous garden with a delightful view, the mansion had a fairy-tale look.
What more could she desire?
“This one. Isn’t it perfect for us, Luke?”
Breathing out cautiously, she clung onto Luke’s arm happily, a surge of solace rushing in her veins, impotent to express the felicity.
“As much of a brat you are, I thought you would prefer a palace-like place like yours,”
He chuckled nervously when she rejected the bigger, more luxurious and glamorous places and selected this dreamy one.
“With you as mine, I don’t need castles,”
“Sometimes, Peach, you make me wonder…. Nevermind,”
Glancing down at the woman, Luke was bewildered at first but soon relaxed and all shifted his hand to give her shoulder a soft squeeze.
“Make you wonder what?” Opening her eyes, she poked his chest playfully.
“Nothing. I don’t want to do or say something hurtful. Forget it. Let’s not ruin your perfect marriage,”
“Luke-”
“Don’t, Peach,” He smiled.
“... Okay,”
Forming her lips in a thin line, she nodded sheepishly, powerless before one call as they walked down the property, checking it out once again.
Her eyes locked on him in mesmerization, back to the house, still finding it extremely hard to believe but it was real.
Her smile grew, clinging onto him as they entered the best, the largest yet prettiest room of the mansion.
“This will be our room and before you say anything, no, we won’t paint it pink,” Luke stated sternly.
“No! Why not, Luke!?”
Her mouth gaped, pulling away instantly when two her most desirable points collided in contrast.
“Because I said so,”
“Please, you know I adore pink!”
“And because you love pink, I already agreed for a pink wedding dress, pink cake, and bouquet. No more pink, please,” Luke sighed, done with seeing more shades of this color.
She pouted, “So you won’t paint it pink?”
“No, Peach, it’s too… vibrant for my style. I can’t,”
“You….”
Narrowing her eyes, she was about to argue, to convince him to paint it pink but his frown and apologetic expression vanished words from her tongue.
Studying his face for the next few seconds, she ended up chuckled, pinching his cheeks.
“The fact I am marrying you compensates for everything so it’s okay,”
He smirked, “Really? You won’t fight?”
“Will start, after marriage. Not now.”
“You are the only person for whom I would compromise,”
Flashing a tempting glimpse, being wrapped with an unforeseen dedication, Peach kissed his knuckles, astonishing him.
“As you wish, my dear husband,”
Shrinking his eyes, Luke studies her unreadable face before twisting their hands and turning her around without a warning.
Surprised, Peach stood still when his hard chest was against her back, snuggling to her neck, inhaling her expensive, addictive scent darkly.
“Aren’t you being too docile? Where did you hide the real Peach, hmm? Who is this compliant woman?” he murmured, his other hand tracing a chilling path along her collarbone.
Not used to intimacy, she blushed madly, unsure how to react, “L-Luke? Wh-What are you doing? Someone will come,”
Smirking at her innocent reaction, he pressed her harder into his him, wet tongue tracing a space on her neck, inducing satisfactory shivers.
Freeing his hands, Luke held her sides, digging his nail on her skin, forming goosebumps all over her skin.
Peach stood still with breaths hastening madly, eyes widened, cheeks red from embarrassment, not daring to lift her eyes.
“What happened? Why are you flushed? I am your fiancé, Peach,”
“I-I… you suddenly did this.. I didn’t know how to r-react-”
Holding her chin dominant with one hand, he tilted her head up to link their eyes intensely, indulging in her display of vulnerability- a rare phenomenon for Peach.
She asked softly, “What happened to you, Luke?”
Burying his face in the crook of her neck, he implanted a passionate kiss on her neck, numbing her whole being.
After successfully claiming, he pulled away breathlessly, moving his thumb over her bottom lip slowly.
“Aren’t you the one who wants to shelter my heart and emotions?”
“Mhm,”
Relaxing at the tension collecting in her body, Luke ended up hugging her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder.
“Then why are you hesitating, Peach?”
She blinked in confusion but to eradicate any sign of tentativeness, he intertwined fingers with his, successfully blinding her in his charm.
“Don’t you want all of my feelings?”
“I do,”
“Good. That is what I want too now,”
Pleased at her submission, well aware he was attaining his goal, he stepped back, turning her around to face him.
“If that’s the case,”
Taking a deep breath to control her hammering heartbeats and scattering emotions, Peach held his hands gently, connecting their eyes in-depthly.
“Will you be mine so we could place everything aside and give us a new start, Luke Grayson?”
He smirked, bringing her dangerously closer, “Why don’t you earn it, Future Mrs. Grayson?”
Before it could make her dejected, he kissed her forehead as an indication of hopes that it could be possible.
“Will you?”
It swayed her instantly and immersed in her unknown path only because wanted it too, Peach whispered back senselessly.
“I will do everything, Luke…”
