Chapter 102 Always Invisible
She flinched when he gave a crystal-clear answer in a snapped tone.
Her lips sealed instantly.
Relaxing himself instantly, he breathed out once again, “Your love doesn’t matter anymore…”
He sighed in exasperation, sitting up as well, giving her a bored look, explaining his perspective.
“Love has become a weaker, unimportant emotion for me. You can love many but won’t be obsessed with everyone,”
His least amount of attention towards her was gut-wrenching.
She accepted his negligence before- they were nothing. But, even at this point, his same, old reactions were heartbreaking.
Losing her mind, her breaths, she prayed he might witness what his piercing statements were doing to her but to no avail.
William worsened her condition by his next scoffing.
“You are an example. Loved my brother, married me. Explains how weak and pathetic your love can be,”
Her eyes went wide, immobilized, her functionals shut down. Left with one question-
‘How come after showing me such a dark obsession, such veneration, so much patience and desire… me and my feelings are still unknown?’
To think that she poured her heart out, revealed feelings openly, bargained her self-respect, deserted her world- All to gain nothing.
Her eyes widened with tears filling her eyes, staring at the unbothered man in disbelief.
“You think I don’t or can’t love you?” She asked desperately, leaning closer.
Her hand instinctively brought closer to hold his neck which he refrained by grabbing his wrist with hardened features.
He got swayed once, not again.
‘When coming after me, after showing interest in me, you can get into a relationship with Luke then how hard is it for you to love ‘anyone’?’
William thought furiously, declining any sort of love from her side. He refused to accept any sincerity.
“No, I am not calling it a lie. In fact, what’s the surprise if an unloved woman like you began to love me?”
Hissing, he slapped her hand away.
She trembled, hand left unattended in the air, hopelessly staring at him.
“What…?”
“Of course, you were never loved properly by your parents or boyfriend. If I sprinkle some compassion, you were supposed to love me,” He chuckled mockingly, disregarding her honest feelings.
“What’s so astonishing about it? Obviously because of that stupid feeling you are constantly nagging me to love you and shit,”
He laid down, placing his forearm over his eyes to ignore the silent tears that fell directly on her cheek.
All her years, her efforts, her paths suddenly became blurry.
She hadn’t experienced such a strong anguish. Her body was cold. She knew one word and she would liberate a miserable sobbing.
She wanted to slap him so hard, to scream but at this point- ‘Would he believe it?’
“But let me tell you again, I have no intention of falling weak or losing what’s mine this time. Your future is sealed with me, this is your cage for eternity,”
Raising his hand dominantly in the air, he declared sternly and holding his hand out of desperation, she gulped her heartache.
No matter how enraged she got, for once, just once, she wanted him to be aware.
“What if I don’t want to escape either, conditioned that you will be mine forever?” She asked breathlessly.
Perplexed, gave her hand a harsh squeeze, sitting up again angrily, “Am I not yours?”
Filled with disbelief that after explicitly placing his feelings, arranging them in this room, yet she asked his ridiculous question.
“Look at this room, dammit.” He growled, glaring at her.
“I have offered my very soul to you, I have poured all my heart into everything yet this is not enough for your empty heart huh?”
Linking her eyes intensely into his, she shook her head in denial.
“No, it’s not. I want more,”
“Oh? What ‘more' do you want?”
“You. All of you. I don’t want Luke, Helena, or anything. Yes, I am love-deprived and want you to fill that gap for me- Will you?” She whispered wholeheartedly.
He let go immediately.
Her hopelessness made him mute. Stunned, William’s mind went blank as he averted his gaze hesitantly.
She stared, and stared, leaning forward, hovering over him.
Licking his lips anxiously, he cautiously scanned her, clearing his throat before lying down and covered himself with the blanket with a mumble.
“I have no intentions of shattering my precious collection,”
She smiled coldly, “So you know doing so, faking it again, would destroy me beyond repair huh…”
William knew, he displayed as the best man and got her favor once. If he did this again, she might not be able to recover.
‘This’ was enough for the man who couldn’t have enough of her.
Shutting his eyes, he faced the wall, covering himself to block further resonance and forced himself to sleep.
She stared at him for the next few seconds before liberating a disheartening sigh and laid on her side, facing the wall too.
The lack of acceptance made her heart clench, hollowing staring into nothingness, she could feel her heart flaring uncontrollably.
Converting her sorrow into rage, she found her path once again as a new determination evoked.
Swallowing her heartbreak, Arabella swore to herself once again.
‘....I have loved you so much that if you had offered me before… I would have loved that cage, I would have embraced it wholeheartedly.
But you never noticed it, William.
Now I WILL make you, once again, until you won’t be able to endure the weight of my feelings, I shove them down your throat, asshole…’
