"How close are EJ and Kathleen?!
Their relationship is like that terrible handwriting that only the two of them can understand. To everyone else it doesn't make any sense!"

Kathleen tried calling him but he wasn't answering any of her calls. She left messages but there was no reply from the other side. Janice was right, EJ knew Robert for better and worse, kathleen thought that he will definitely help her out, in making Robert understand that she doesn't love him.
But Kathleen had no clue on EJ'S recent behavior, he was avoiding her for no reason at all. As it was Sunday, she had no chance to meet him in person. She had to wait patiently for the next day.
The following day came to end finally and it seemed like a eternity for kathleen. She knew she had to face Robert and come across him in the future days, and she wasn't ready to talk to him. She doesn't know on how he would react to her rejection.

As the sun gets higher in the sky, it was time for the girls to begin their daily activities. And it was the first time in a very long time that kathleen has woken up this early in the morning. She experienced a disturbed sleep last night, her confused mind didn't let her sleep peacefully.
She didn't know what to expect for the day.
"Hey, what a surprise!! Morning", greeted Janice rubbing her sleepy eyes. Janice was surprised to find kathleen awake so early in the morning.
"Average morning", she joked making her laugh.
"What happened? You look disturbed", questioned Janice, searching her toiletries. Kathleen join her in the hunt.
"No, it's just my mind. Needs some peace", she shrugged.
"I have the best remedy", exclaimed Janice with a grin.
"And what is that?".
"Music", she go through her Playlist to find the perfect song that would boost her up.
You know, I've been taking some time
And I've been keeping to myself
I had my eyes up on the prize
Ain't watching anybody else
But your love, it hit me hard, girl
Yeah, you're bad for my health
I love the cards that I've been dealt
Do you feel the same as well?
The speaker make some noise of Liam payne's best hits. Laura closed her ears and yelled at Janice for bothering her beauty sleep.
"Arghhh, what the hell Jay?", she barked?with a frown.
"Come on Laura. It's time. Hurry up and get your ass of the bed before I smack it", threatened Janice with a giggle. While Kathleen sang along with the song, letting the music take over mind and soul.
You know, I used to be in 1D (Now I'm free)
People want me for one thing (That's not me)
I'm not changing the way that (I used to be)
I just wanna have fun and (Get rowdy)
One Coke and Bacardi (Sippin' lightly)
When I walk inside the party (Girls on me)
F1 type Ferrari (6 gear speed)
Girl, I love it when your body (Grinds on me)
Baby, you know, I love it, when the music stop
But c'mon, strip that down for me, baby
Now there's a lot of people in the crowd
But only you can dance with me
So put your hands on my body
And swing that round for me, baby
You know, I love it when the music stop
But c'mon, strip that down for me
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Strip that down, girl
Love when you hit the ground, girl (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Strip that down, girl
Love, when you hit the ground

Kathleen took out her brown t-shirt dress from the wardrobe and threw it towards Laura. While Kathleen chose to wear a blue printed ruffle skater dress. Janice was the fastest one among the three, she slipped into a linen mini maxi dress and pink sneakers.
Janice took out her phone to check out the updates in the social page. Her pace along with her heart rate quickened on taking a look at the new post that was being shared by each and every member of her university.
"Jay, how does it look on me", Laura spin around to show off the t-shirt dress that stopped above her knees. Janice went numb and she was on the verge of break down.
"Hey, Jay?! What's wrong!?", kathleen walked towards her while she remained in the state of shock dropping the phone to her lap. Kathleen gasped on seeing the picture of Doris kissing Gerald.
Tears pour out of her brown eyes and she couldn't believe what she just saw. The boy who said he loved her was spotted kissing the bitch that she hated the most.
"Hey, Jay!! Stop crying, we don't know if it is for real", kathleen stated wiping away her tears.
"No....how...can...", she choked out of words.
"Hey, hey.! Like Kathleen said we don't know if it is true! Maybe this would have been photoshopped. We can't believe everything we see Jay", Laura gently pat her back.
"But....no....it doesn't seem.....to be so....", she continued to sob through her words.
"This Doris was the one who has posted this picture and I'm sure she would have done this to tear you both apart", hissed Kathleen scrolling down her posts.
"So, Jay! You are not going to let her win. Come on let's head to the classes and you are going to talk to him before coming to a conclusion about this picture", suggested Laura and janice wipes away her tears with the back of her hand.
"I just don't wanna cry over silly things but when the most trusted people break my trust, I get hurt terribly and I don't wanna face them or have them in the rest of my life. I just don't want Gerald to be one among them", assured Janice with teary eyes.
"Jay, listen there is no need to go all around the horses, just ask him if he kissed her or not! When you find the answer, leave the place. Simple right?!", Laura dragged her out of the room. The girls marched towards their respective classes. Kathleen totally forgot what she was about to deal today.

"Shit!! Statistics is tougher than I really expected it to be when I chose this course", grunted Noah banging his head on the book. Kathleen chuckled and turn around find his seat empty. He wasn't here, so she totally understood that he was avoiding her, but why?!
"Try my life, that's more complicated than Statistics", she signed.
"Talking about life, how is Janice?! How did she react to the picture of Doris and Gerald together...in a kiss", he hesitated.
"Pretty bad! She was broken I could say. Because it turn out to be such a disappointment when you defend someone and trust someone so much for so long thinking they are different but in reality they turn out to be just like what everyone said. That would leave you broken for a while. Trust me on this, I'm going through this phase", she expressed packing her bags.
"Talking about you and EJ?", Noah was unsure if she was talking about Gerald and Janice or herself and EJ.
"No ! God no, not at all", she exclaimed.
"Don't pretend it's nothing, you were worried about him few minutes back. Kath, I think he doesn't want to get between you and Robert, maybe that would be the reason he was trying to avoid you", asserted Noah and Kathleen exhaled deeply.
"Let's just concentrate on the bigger fish that we have to fry! It's not about me, it's about Jay. She is feeling bad for herself", kathleen rubbed her temples.
"Gerald loved Janice, we all are aware of that and Doris loved Gerald desperately which we all need to accept", he confessed.
"But Gerald did the wrong thing to the right girl. He shouldn't have said he loved her before making it clear to Doris. If he had did that earlier, then Doris wouldn't have done something like this today. He should have made her realize that she had no chance here, and it was only Janice for now and forever', said Kathleen with a frown.
"You got a point here", accepted Noah.
"Yes, just don't play with a woman's heart, why mislead a good woman if you know you are not going to love her the way she deserves to be loved", she stated walking out of the classroom.
They walk down the grass pathway that would lead them to the Cafeteria. She could spot Robert few meters away and he was expecting someone's arrival. He was nervous and then kathleen found out that he was waiting for her. Kathleen was caught off guard, she wasn't totally ready to do this.
"Noah, I'll join you later", she mumbled and Noah left with a nod,? understanding the scenario very clearly. Kathleen halted at distance and he smiled nervously. She tried to force a smile at his direction.
"Hey Barbie", he spoke after a minute.
"Hey."
"How was your day?", he questioned.
"Good so far", she replied bluntly. She understood that he was beating around the bush and she pitied him, she decided to help him out.
"Hey, Robert! Listen. You are a good person and I don't want you to stress yourself too much over this. I'll make it clear for you Robert. There is a purpose for everyone you meet. People come into your life with a purpose. I strongly believe that.
And I think you are a good friend to me and that's what I need right now. Having a real friend is a blessing? Will you be my blessing,? Robert?", she asked me looking into his eyes. He was moved.
"Yes....but....", he began but she cut him off in the middle.
"Sometimes life doesn't give you what you want, not because you don't deserve it, but because you deserve so much more. You deserve someone better than me. And you will understand that I'm right one day", she implied with a small smile. Robert understood what she was trying to emphasize.
"Is this because of EJ?", he snapped suddenly.
"What? No it's because of me. I don't want you to get hurt. So keep going everything will come to you at the right time", saying that she walked away giving no room for further discussion.
