CHAPTER 31: ISAAC?

I tried recycling my memory but I just can't remember. But according to Isaac and according to the pain I am feeling shows what really did something happened that night, ai just can't remember how it happened! Fuck!

Anyway, they carried me back to the house and laid me in bed. Eleanor was left to look out for me since she said she'd experienced this before.

But her looking at me like I'm a joke is not helping tsk. She looks like she's about to burst out laughing any time.

I glared at her and said, "Spit it out I know you wanna say something," after I said that she just suddenly started laughing like crazy.

See? I knew it. Tsk.

Eleanor wiped the tear from her eyes still laughing and glanced at me, "Well since I knew you before you transmigrated I just can't believe you're really a woman now. Congratulations HAHAHAHA!" And then she started laughing again.

I snarled at her so she stopped laughing and said, "Anyway based on your symptoms I'm positive that he's telling the truth. And didn't you said he's the one after your head? That doesn't look like the case to me,"

My brows furrowed and my forehead creased in confusion, why is everyone saying that?

"Look, I'm saying this based on experience but your husband acts just like my husband,"

"Could you be more specific?" I asked.

She sighed and grabbed both of my shoulders, "I'm saying that man is madly in love with you my dear friend. It's too obvious, why are you the only one who can't see that? Oh, right, you were a man before you transmigrated but you're a woman now! You can't deny it, you like him don't you?"

W-What?! Like who?! Isaac?! No way!

"Don't be ridiculous, I Don't like him," I said and crossed my arms.

Eleanor massaged her temples and looked at me as if she didn't know what to do with me.

"Look, what I want you to do is think about what happened that night and how everything happened. I'm sure you'll realize something when you remember that moment," She said and tapped my back before leaving me to rest, her husband also just came to fetch her.

I looked out the window and saw a man with top knot hair leaning on the car waiting for his wife. Well Eleanor wasn't kidding when she said Isaac feels like her husband.

From the way his eyes scream coldness and authority is basically like Isaac's, but when Eleanor arrives in his field of vision his face suddenly lit up and he just changes from a cold guy to a man who is madly in love with his wife.

I don't know if that's how Isaac also reacts whenever he sees me since I wasn't really paying much attention but Eleanor wouldn't say it if she doesn't mean it so maybe I'll do what she asked me to do.

Before that, I wanna witness the same thing from Isaac just to make sure.

I tried getting up and walking slowly until I got down from the second floor. I heard their voices from the living room so I walked slowly there.

From this distance, I saw the usual domineering aura of Isaac when he talked with his people. He's having a conversation with that new guy Howard or whatever his name is, he looks so serious that his thick brows are twitching.

But when he noticed me walking slowly towards the door his expression changed, he excused himself and stood up, looked at me and there I saw what Eleanor said.

His face changed right after turned his back on them, I didn't notice it until now since it's the same facial expression he does but when you look at it closely, it's different.

The space felt like everything was moving so slowly and all I could see was him. What is this? What's suddenly happening?

Why is he suddenly so handsome right now?

Isaac reached out to me and kept saying something but I just couldn't seem to hear anything when he was looking at me like that.

"Mia gatita? Are you okay? Shouldn't you be in bed? Why did you walk all the way here? Isn't it still painful for you?" I woke up from reverie after he said that.

W-What am I doing? I must have been crazy to think about him that way.

My face suddenly felt hot and my heart was beating rapidly as if I was being chased by a bull or something.

I turned around and said, " It's nothing I was just checking something. I’ll get going now," I said and was about to walk my way up to the stairs again when he swept me up my feet and carried me bridal style.

My eyes widened in surprise, "W-What are you doing? I can walk on my own!"

"I'm the reason why you're in pain, let me help you," He said and walked us up the stairs.

I didn't argue since I didn't wanna stay in his arms any longer. When we arrived at the room, he tucked me in bed and stared at me.

Before that stare might have been a normal one for me but now I can literally see what everyone is saying, the way he stares at me is really different than normal.

He tapped my head left afterward. W-What the bloody hell? Why is a single tap making my heart flutter?

And what? Flutter? When did I learn to use that word?!

Isaac you idiot! I'll make sure to remember every bit of what happened that night and after that, I'll come to you and punch you in the face!

How dare you make my heart beat like this?! I'm going crazy! I'm supposed to be killing you to take over your organization!

But now I'm also having second thoughts about whether I was doing the right thing or not.

Fuck, I should sleep. Maybe I'll remember when I wake up...
