Pissed and Needing Pampering

Pissed and Needing Pampering
Scarlett

I was relieved to have wrapped things up so swiftly. But no one can be sure if that was all there is of them. Staying in a place where I cannot be sure of my safety, considering I am not alone, would be stupidly reckless.

I suggested we go somewhere nearby. I have a club operating not too far from the area. I will be able to handle the situation better if I am on my own ground. It would be easier to see if someone was really tailing me and lose them. It is always better to walk away from a fight when I can. No one knows when bad luck would swing by or when good luck would run out for me in the middle of a fight. I always apply the rule of never testing my limits, which would prove nothing but idiocy. One wrong move and I will lose everything. Wisdom is the best weapon anyone can carry around. Of course, I won’t run when the plate is already being served. To finish it once and for all would also be wise, but if I have the chance to leave it for tomorrow, why would I chase my own death? I was thinking that once I get into my club and I notice someone suspicious is still following me, I will exit right through the back door and move to a different place. I am not in my best mood right now. I might really wake up in a pool of blood if I let my crazy, drunken persona rule over me. I need to release my anger in a different way.

I have my mind busily working on what to do next, but his constant questioning annoyed me.

Like seriously?! He wants to wait for a cab? Or did he call for something else? My cautious mind started to kick in. I tried to ignore my brain’s warning. But when he asked where I was or where we were going, it gave me a weird feeling about this person. I cannot say for sure if he is trying to trap me into something because he could have done that while I was busy earlier. But then again, I cannot be sure. He can be anyone. He could have approached me for various reasons. Harm me. Ask a favor, or make a deal with me. Only he knows for now. But I intend to find out.

I let my self-protective mind rule over.

Being careful is a sign of wisdom, too.

I gave him options to follow me if he wanted or go his way if not.

If he needed my help, he should trust me.

He should have faith in me, wherever I am taking him. Asking me gave the idea that he would tell someone where to go and find us. Find me. Because if he were asking due to his doubts, it shows he has very poor confidence in me.

It really poked a sore part.

Is this man another male chauvinist? Just like the five men in the alley. Or just like the guys poisoned by my cigarette-size blowgun?

Starting to have doubts, I gave him the option to choose whether he wanted to follow me or not. I walked my way to the public transit. This way, I can easily blend in with the crowd and lose him along the way if I see anyone else tailing me aside from him. By chance or intentional won’t matter. For me, this is a test of whether I should trust him or not.

I saw him stop in his tracks.

That was another dubious move!

Like, come on!, if he needed my help and he wanted to talk somewhere more private, in which I even gave him the chance to decide, his place or mine, he was too slow to answer, so I made the decision for him, we are heading to my place if he can remember whatever I said. He shouldn’t have asked any more. Not unless he is guilty of being among those men who blocked our way, and he is afraid I am going to interrogate him to tell me more of things I wanna know.

All in all, his reactions and actions are sending me intuitions to be heedful. He came to me for help. He said he was willing to pay me in any kind as long as he could. Then why is he being skeptical? With my strong cautiosness when I have alcohol in my system, I cannot stop having reservations against this man.

Had he shown trust, it would have been different. Now I have to check for myself. If I am wrong to doubt him, it might also be better if he walks away. He won’t get hurt being around me when another attack strikes again.

I did not look back at him, but I could feel he was rushing his way to catch up with me when he made his choice, according to his reflections. I know he tried his best to stand next to me, but with so many commuters, the closest he managed was a man standing between us until we arrived at my stop. With so much crowd, he could not walk side-by-side with me, but I knew he was right behind me, observing at every turn I took. I kept my pace, making sure he was alone or no one else was following me aside from him. Not in a hurry but not too slow either. Just enough for him to keep up and not lose me along the way. He is impressive. I can tell he is not new to tailing someone. Something was telling me there is more than what I can see in his personality and character. I don’t expect to know a person by one look. I knew that too well. Never judge a book by its cover. Never judge a person by how they look at first sight.

I am not sure if he was aware of where I was heading, but he followed me even when I went inside a women-oriented nightclub. A place which, aside from the manager, no one else knew I owned. Even the employees did not know. I am more known here as a client to be served.

I am pissed and mad!
