Pack Business

Heading to my office so I can have a meeting with all my higher ranking officers is going to be good when they hear all that is going on and that will happen. I am not sure if I believe it as well. We have gorilla shifters, we have a bear and wolf hybrid that I have never heard of before and I have to tell my pack about all of this. They are going to think I lost my mind for taking all of these shifters in, but that is what I am meant to do. To help the less fortunate ones that no one else would help. Everyone arrived in the office to see what their Alpha wanted to talk about.

“Thank you all for coming and Aiden is here so he can hear about the news and inform his dad as well. I also when I am done if you have any information on what I have to say or comments in this room would be the time to say them. Does everyone understand?” Alpha Athena asked

They all replied “Yes Alpha”

“Ok. We will be adding a good number of people to our pack tonight. I just think you should know about a few of them. You all know that we have a vampire-wolf hybrid in our pack with the dad on his way to join the pack in a week. Well we have now a wolf-bear hybrid that is confused as hell. She was told they would not combine and they did. She looks mostly like a wolf but is as big as a bear and she is not an alpha. She is strong like a bear but fast as a wolf. She needs to learn control so we will need to find a good workout plan for her since I have never heard of a wolf-bear hybrid before. This afternoon we got in some rogues that wanted to join the pack, among those rogues were some gorilla shifters. Their pack was wiped out by hunters that were looking for something and they refused to give out information this family is the one that made it to us. I don’t know if others made it out and neither do they. I want you to be aware that we are taking in a lot of hybrids and different shifters that most would not take in. It is what the Moon Goddess wanted for us to do. We are to bring the supernatural world together in peace but it will not be easy. They are going to call us names and I want you all prepared for that. Let’s make sure everyone knows how to fight and defend and make this pack one of the best. Get with Rami and the others to get the rundown on the new people all except the gorillas. I will deal with them. They are scared of everyone else at the moment. So try to make them feel at home, please. Do you have any questions or comments?” Alpha Athena told them and asked all at the same time.

“When would you like the different training to be set up and how often do you want everyone to train?” Toby asked

“I think we should do it in groups with all of you. Each of you take your strength and apply it to that type of training. Tony you are fast so you take the ones you need to learn control over their speed and maneuvers. Toby you are good at sneak attacks so take a group and work with them. Lee you do good in human form and shifting. Show them how to fight in human form and how to shift quickly. That’s how you all need to set up the groups and then you rotate them so everyone builds up their skills. Then I will host special training for anyone who wants to sign up to learn twice a week. Are we all good?” Alpha Athena voiced

“How are you holding up Alpha?” Lee asked

“I am doing good, thank you Lee for asking. Oh I will be heading to the Snow Moon Pack in two days. So you guys will be in charge while I am gone. Please get more houses and apartments as well as cabins for rent for the visitors. Let me know if we run into any problems.” Athena said

“Who is going with you to the other pack?” Mia asked

“I was going to ask you since you still have not went with me and Aiden will also be going with is beta Keme,” Athena said

“That would be great. I was hoping I would get to go and see how things are running other places as well as how they treat you.” Mia explained

“We leave in two days and try to keep your face without emotion on it. It will keep them from being able to read you so easy,” Athena told her

“Yes, Alpha” Mia replied

“If there isn’t anything else you are free to go,” Athena told her high ranking officers

No one said anything and they all filed out of her office. They all were deep in thought and she knew it. She couldn’t blame them for it.

“Aided what are you thinking about all of this?” Athena asked

“Well this is your pack business and you know this is what the Goddess is wanting you to do. So I would say you’re doing the right thing. But if I was just an outsider looking at what you were doing I would think you are doing something odd and that you could be doing this to start a war. Just to be honest.” Aiden said with worry written all of his face

“That’s what I thought you would say. I just can’t go against the Goddess. Plus, I feel like I am helping them every time I take a new member,” Athena explained

“I understand, but not everyone is going to. You knew that when you started this. It wasn’t really what you were expecting?” Aiden asked

“Some of it, yes. I expected to have to prove myself and to prove that the Goddess chose me. I wasn’t expecting all the different shifters she sent to me or how people will look at me for doing this,” Athena went on to explain

“You can handle anything that comes your way. I have seen you overcome a lot and you still don’t seem so sure of yourself. Why?’ Aiden asked

“I guess it’s because I feel a little lost. I don’t know who my real father is and with so much happening so fast it’s hard to get a grip on it all that I am the one doing all of this. It doesn’t always seem real at times. I am very thankful that I have friends like you and the ones in my pack that believe in me and what to do this with me. I am glad that my brother is with you and not still at home. I just wish I could get my mother and little brother out.” Athena voiced out her concerns.

“Your mother is too scared to leave and your father is never going to let you take him. You know that. He is still trying to turn Keme against you.” Aiden said

“I figured as much that he was. I just hoped I was wrong. Does he know that the council isn’t going to come after me or back him on not letting me become Alpha?” Athena asked

“I don’t know about that yet. I will ask my father when he gets back from the Snow Moon Pack.” Aiden replied

Aiden has been helping with some of my pack business now for a few days. It is time for us to leave for the Snow Moon Pack and my brother just showed up. Just as we were about to leave I hear through the mind-link we have a rogue running through our land heading right for the pack house that he knocked out two of my guards with some move that they have seen the Alpha does. That could only mean that my father has found me. I called all my warriors and packs that could fight to the pack house and told the others to get the women and children to the packhouse and keep them safe. I look over at Keme and whisper that I think it’s father. The next thing we know there is a wolf in front of the packhouse and it’s not our father but our little brother. It’s only been six months since we have seen him and he has grown and looks very beaten and scared. I mind-link everyone to stand down and I walk over to him, he lowers himself to the ground in a submissive form.

“Hello little guardian. What brings you to my territory?” Alpha Athena asked

Keme realized she is not calling him brother just in case their father is around. Their father never knew that she called him that from the time he was born. She keeps that between us is a little nickname. He could see in his little brother’s eyes that he recognized the nickname. His brother shifted and looked at everyone that was around.

“How did you know that nickname Alpha?” Qaletaqa asked

“That doesn’t matter right now. How did you get those bruises and why do you look like you haven’t eaten in weeks? Who did this to you?” Alpha Athena said in her Alpha tone

It had some of the wolves lowering their heads to her and was surprised that she used it with this child.

“My father did this to me. He said he was trying to make me stronger and that I need to be ready to kill my sister and brother for their betrayal to him and the pack. When I said I could not do that he started to beat me and only feed me enough to keep me alive.” Qaletaqa explained

“Where was your mother?” Alpha Athena asked

“He killed her when she tried to take me and leave. She was going to find my brother Keme and in hopes to find my sister Kenda.” Qaletaqa replied

That’s when Qaletaqa seen Keme standing with is soon to be Alpha by some cars to leave. Athena saw where he was looking and told Keme to walk towards him and talked with him but do not let on that I am his sister. Keme mentally shook his head.

“Hello little brother. You look like hell.” Keme said Qaletaqa ran to him screaming and crying to hug his brother.

“He killed her Keme. He almost killed me and I don’t know where our sister is to tell her.” Qaletaqa said

“He killed who and why did he almost kill you?” Keme asked even though he had an idea who their father killed and he was going to get his revenge on that man for doing so.

“He killed our mother and he almost killed me because I refused to train to kill you or Kenda. Say that you betrayed him and that she had to much power for a female and that he was going to kill her to get her power and show the packs what a king should be like.” Qaletaqa explained. Then Keme looked over at me with pleading eyes to tell him the truth. MY wolf and I knew he was telling the truth, but did I want to bring more trouble to my little brother? I already knew that Keme was going to want his father dead. I have come to terms that he is not my father.

“Bring the boy Keme to my office so we all can talk in private.” Alpha Athena said then mind-linking the pack telling them he is my little brother and he is no threat to me they all relaxed and went back to their posts and jobs. Then Athena walked into her office to talk with the others fast before they left for the Snow Moon Pack.

“Qaletaqa I need you to sit so we can talk. I don’t want you to say a word till I am done then you can ask questions and Keme or I will try our best to give you the answers. Do you understand?” Athena asked

“Yes, Alpha” Qaletaqa replied

“Ok, I am your sister and the man that you call father is not my real father. I found that out after I left. Second, I have been chosen by the moon goddess to start changing things within the supernatural world. I have started that change here in my pack and in the Elite pack that Keme is a part of. Then there is one other pack I have helped, I’m on my way to another pack today to try and start it there as well. You are correct that your father wants to kill me for my power but it doesn’t work that way. He will gain power if he kills me but it will be dark power not the power of light. Yes you are still my brother because we do share the same mother. I want you to go with us to the other pack so you can see what I do and make your own judgment about me. Plus, you can stay in my pack or go to the Elite pack where Keme is. Do you have any questions?” Athena asked

“Do I still have to call you Alpha since you're my sister? Is that also how you knew the nickname my sister called me?” Qaletaqa asked

“You only have to call me Alpha when there are other Alpha’s or important people around besides that no. Yes, it’s because I am your sister.” Athena said

“Why are you going by a different name then the one mom gave you?” Qaletaqa asked

“I am trying to get everything into place before your father finds me and starts a war,” Athena replied

“Athena we really need to go now,” Aiden said

“Ok, Let’s go. Come on Qaletaqa you're coming with us and you need to stay close to us until you pick a pack. Do you understand?” Athena asked

“Yes Alpha” Qaletaqa replied

“Let’s go do some pack business,” Athena said with authority. Then they left for the Snow Moon Pack to see what they can do to help them with starting the change there.
