Chapter 126 Who's The Boy
Chapter 126 Who's The Boy
Jason's POV
As Cloris gave me some medicine to drink, I began to cough. Leon quickly gave me water, as Deryn stood by with a worried look.
"Thanks. But, your eyes, and both of you. Even the alpha leader and Prince have them." I asked in a curious voice.
"Deryn is Derek's son, and Derek is Dustin's wolf." Jenna said, explaining.
"Oh, so you both are wolf brothers. Wow, that must be so nice, I mean having a brother. But we werewolves, are self human and self wolf's. I am happy to be here, but sad as well, as you also despise me." I said in a sad voice.
"Jason, though for humans, wolves and werewolves are the same thing. But, we are different. Vampires and you, both are immortal, and often get blamed when the other attacks humans. With us, we're mortal, and we don't attack humans. The reason is, we live in the forest, and not in the city. We did for a while, but as normal humans. We never attacked them, and they never knew about us." Jennifer said, explaining.
"So, are you alone or..." Julia asked, looking at me with curiosity.
"Yes, I do have a family, if that's what you want to know, and I'm the youngest, so all members are werewolves now. I transformed when I was fifteen. Now, I'm seventeen." I said, explaining.
"So, where do you live?" Jenna asked me as she sat on a chair.
"In the slums over at Avenue twenty." I said in a frank voice.
"The slums?" The girls asked, confused.
"Yes, it's the low area of the city. Most are beggars, or get paid equal to nothing. Were you born there or..." Jenna asked, who was the only one not shocked.
"No, after my elder brother came out, it got hard for us to hide as he wasn't able to control his anger. So, we shifted to the slums. Everyone is bothered about their own business, and screams, yelling is practically heard from every household, so no one bothers when he screams." I said in a frank voice.
"Scream? What do you mean by that?" Jennifer asked, concerned.
"We keep him chained all day long, as his temper is out of control. As for my second elder brother, he only needs to be chained on full moon nights." I said in a frank voice.
"And, your parents and you." Julia asked in a frank voice.
"My parents are born werewolves, and grew up among werewolves, so they were taught how to control their anger. I was also sent to live with my grandparents, so I also learned, but my brothers, they didn't." I said, explaining.
"What's your connection with Nodin?" Julia asked and this time I was certain, she doesn't hesitate to ask what's on her mind.
"Didn't you see, I was in the cage. Shouldn't that help you figure it out?" I said in a frank voice.
"Yes, it could be that you agreed on a deal, pretended to be a pitiful werewolf and then harm us in the middle of the night." Julia said in a frank voice.
I was going to retort back, but the other female's eyes were turning red, that made me worry.
"Me, Jennifer, Lily are Lunas. As for Julia, she may be an omega, but she's the Luna of the Demonbite Leader, and she's the strongest omega of all. Now, want to tell the truth? Cause here, we won't have to tie you up. We ladies are enough to detain you." Jenna said in a frank voice.
"Okay, (I sighed) actually I was looking for some Tiger Angelica, and was told I could find some near the mountain. I was looking for the angelica, when they caught me and took me to Nodin. The ones who captured me, thought I was a human. Nodin recognized me, and told them to get rid of me. But his elder told, 'To not kill me. Instead hand me over to the Prince of the Shadow Outlaw, I think that's Gabriel." I said in a frank voice.
"Yes, he is--"
"Ladies, the alpha leaders have asked for him." Tara from Demonbite came to call us.
"Wade, he's the boy. His name is Jason." Gabriel said to the boy sitting beside him.
The way Gabriel was looking at Wade, I'd say he was his mate, but a male.
"Ah, Wa--"
"His name is Wade, but he's my eternal mate, and the beta of Bloodvenom. Speak with respect, boy." Gabriel said in a frank voice.
"Sorry, I didn't know, what? Wait, Bloodvenom? Is Dimitri your wolf?" I asked in an anxious voice.
"Wade, remember the wolf I told you standing on his legs, injured?" Dimitri said as he came out.
"Yes, you saved him, and you said he had the Tile Bone. Is it him?" Wade asked, surprised.
"Yes, he's the boy."
"Tile Bone? Do you know what it is? I've been hearing this since I was born." I said anxiously.
"Yes, and now it makes sense why the elder told Nodin can't kill you. The Tile Bone is a bone in the spine cord. It's a flat bone, but if crushed and mixed with the right herbs, and made into a potion, it can give immortality." Wade said explaining.
"Wait, Dimitri saved him, then--"
"If he or I had it, we'd be immortals as well. To save someone with the Tile Bone, you need to control the blood flow. Revitalize the bone and the person is fine." Dimitir said, explaining.
"So, Wade Sir, if I become your disciple, then will you protect me for life!" I asked anxiously.
"Disciple? Am I the master of some school?" Wade said in a frank voice.
"Please, Sir, accept me. Nodin said in front of me to let my family know I'm dead. And I don't want to go back. When my brothers get angry, my parents send me as their punching bag. I can't take that anymore. Actually, I never understood why or how they could put my life at risk. I guess they knew about the Tile Bone so they knew I wouldn't die."
"Oh, Moon Goddess, why am I so pathetic?" I cried out trying to sound pitiful
"Quit the act. I'm still not taking you as a disciple, and never will. For now, you'll be under observation. If you can prove yourself worthy, we can keep you, or else." Wade said in a frank voice.
"What? Worthy? Is everyone worthy here, females included?" I said in a demanding voice.
"In that case children and babies are not worthy until they come of age. But they are family, and we will protect them and care for them. You are an outsider. Even if you were three years old, you'd eventually have to prove your worth. So, what's your decision?" Dimitri asked in a frank voice.
