Chapter 121 Guardians In Action

Chapter 121 Guardians In Action
Liam’s POV

After getting orders from the alpha leaders, I gathered the guardians in the community hall.

Everyone was whispering as no one could understand why all pack guardians were summoned in one place.

"Everyone, calm down. I'll tell you what's going on. First of all, Shadow Outlaw members. I don't know if you all know, but a new clan is in town. Their name is Phantom Quenchers, and they have a group who bite humans and are making them into half-blooded. I think you understand what that means."

"Liam, first of all, creating a half-blooded is against the rules, and the elders punish with death. Second, a half blooded vampire, when angry, won't see who's in front while drinking blood. Third, for a half-blooded person, blood is like a drug. Once they've tasted it, they cannot live without it. Fourth and last, their anger will reach uncontrollable limits every full moon night." Spencer said, explaining.

"Ah, I don't understand, Shadow Outlaws weren't the only clan before and now with these quenchers, they aren't again. Why the big fuss?" Simon from Wildmane asks, confused.

"According to what Lady Julia heard, those vampires are living in a city, and as they keep infecting more humans, they will take over one city at a time. And, soon a full state. So, you all can understand how grave this matter is. Now, the alpha leaders have told me to gather a group of guardians, and we will go and find out who the group is who are defying the treaty. Raise your hand, who want to join." I said in a frank enthusiastic voice.

As some of them raised their hands, I smiled.

"Okay, let me get your names Dew, Ross, Mura, Josh, Ruston, Gus, Simon, Waren, Sam, and Owen. Okay, boys, we head out in an hour. Hand over your work and inform your family. We'll meet back here."

After an hour, as I came back, they all were waiting for me.

"Liam, we're ready. Now tell us what we have to do." Gus asked concerned.

"First, I think, guys, someone from Shadow Outlaws should lead--"

"Liam, as a guardian vampire, you're superior among all of us. The only difference is, we're immortal. You lead. Yes, as vampires we might have a far hand, But that doesn't mean, we should lead."

"Okay. Then, from what I know from Lady Julia's words, she saw them at the Moon Goddess mountain. Now, as far as I can say, they must be there for something. So, for now that's the only place where we can go, and maybe get them." I said, sighing.

So, we headed for the mountain, and sure enough, they were there so we all hid behind rocks.

Suddenly one of them began to look around, but Owen threw some dust into the air, and the vampire stopped looking.

"Issac, there's no one here. Stop looking around and focus on the work." A vampire said.

"Duncan, you know my senses are far superior than you all. Don't underestimate me, when I feel something." Issac said to the first one.

"Okay, both of you. Stop it. Before Nodin finds out, we still haven't paid the offering. Let's finish this off. Bring them."

"Okay Darren. Issac, bring them over." Duncan said, ordering.

Issac flew up and came back with three bodies. As he landed, he threw them on the ground. As their bodies hit the ground, I could sense the anger in all of us.

"Damn, Issac! Check, are they all dead?" Darren said in a furious voice.

"Darren, how many times do you want to check? Once or thrice, dead is dead." Issac said in a frank voice.

"Issac, keep your sarcasm to yourself. If Nodin finds out they died, he'll kill us." Dareen said in a frank voice.

"Damn, it. Why did you have to suck out all of the blood? We are to only infect them and turn them into half blood vampires. Now, with these three, we've lost fifteen."

"Hey! What do you mean, 'why did you have to? You're with us, and you're no less. Five of them were sucked dry by you, and you're pointing fingers at us?"

As Issac spoke, they all began to fight with each other. Just then a storm came out of nowhere and separated them.

As the storm stopped, we saw it was cast by Issac.

"Okay, now let's burn them and leave before Nodin finds out. Or else, he'll burn us alive."

Then we saw them burn the bodies and leave.

"Owen, what was that?" I was concerned.

"The powder? Oh, Vernon gave it to me. She knew the quencher's sensing ability was far superior." Owen said in a frank voice.

"Okay, so now we know who they are. Did everyone see them clearly? I mean, you all can recognize them, later on, right?"

As everyone nodded. I sighed.

"Okay. Now that we know who they are, we also know they don't only transform, but kill as well. For now, let head back and tell."

"Liam, one more thing. I think we should or at least you all should carry some silver weapons along. Today, Owen saved us. But today, if we were caught, we would've resurrected, but you all could have been badly hurt or even killed."

"I agree with Liam. You guys aren't immortal, and we can't risk anyone of you. So, you all should carry silver weapons with you, when we come out for them." Own said, concerned.

"Okay, I think Nelo will be the right person for this. He'll know which silver weapon we need for the quenchers." Gus said as he looked around.

"What's the matter?" I asked to see Simon looking around.

"I don't know, but I feel like we're being watched. Okay, let's leave. For us the Moon Goddess mountain is sacred. And since we have no offering, staying here is disrespectful to the goddess." Gus said in a frank voice.

As we came back, we headed for the hall, as we knew the alpha leaders would be there waiting for us.

I told them what we saw and what happened.

"Okay, first of all. Is everyone okay?" Dane asked, concerned.

"Yes. I can speak for all" I said, replying to him.

"For the silver weapon, Gabriel what's your say?" Claude asked concerned.

"Nelo is the cardinal, and head of the army. He knows which silver weapon is more effective against whom. Though we've not battled with the quenchers. I know from what we know, and what we got to know today, he will be able to tell." Gabriel says, sighing.

"Okay, Liam, it's your duty. Then you can plan out how to keep an eye on them."

I sighed as I knew things were not as simple as keeping an eye on them.
