Chapter 9 The Revelation

After 5 months

“Are you ready?”

“Yes dad.”

Halos lahat ng tao ay nakatingin kay Zoe at sa ama nitong si Diego habang naglalakad sila sa venue ng party. It is a welcome party ni Diego kay Zoe for being one of the stock holders of the company. Ang daming mga press ang nagpa flash ng picture at nagsisigaw for interview. Napahinga ng malalim si Zoe. Hindi niya inexpect na makakaramdam parin siya ng kaba after 5 months ng training niya para sa bagong career niyang tatahakin.

Hinatid si Zoe ng ama sa entablado, to make a speech. Inaaninaw niya ang mga taong naroroon and Zoe realize all of them were busy looking at her but Zoe’s eyes try to find someone till it stop in the corner and she smiled. She smile and blow a kiss. Then she start her speech. All the way she manage the pressure in the crowd and confidently finish her speech. After she walks towards the corner.

“Did you miss mama?

“Yes miss mama.”

Niyakap ni Pia ang ina.

Pia is now more than a year old at sinisikap ni Zoe na maglaan ng time sa anak kahit busy siya sa work. Nang dahil sa hectic ng sched ay naghire sila ng nanny. Zoe carry Pia and goes toward the crowd and greet them. People who were invited where divide by their opinion towards Zoe, some of them thought that Zoe was not yet ready for her position and others were amaze by her dedication. Zoe don’t mind of what people say and concentrate what her father told to her ; “just concentrate your goals and never mind the negativity”. A few moments Zoes brother approach her and congratulate her. Zoe hug her brother. Then her sister Trisha..

“I thought yo will not come.”

“Ako alam mo naman kung gaano ka kaimportante sa akin.”

“I called you many times para pumunta ng house.”

“Sorry Zoe naging busy lang ako but you know what you really look amazing sis.”

Zoe hug her sister

“Well as far as I know I’m just second to you.”

“Nah.. I think this time the crown is yours. So wheres dad? I didn’t see him?”

“I think he’s over there.”

“Okay. I need to talk to him about something.”

“You want me to come with you?”

Zoe still worried about her sister and her dad.

“No, no need. I can manage. Ahm well can I borrow Pia? Para naman may pangshield ako.”, tumawa si Trisha.

“Yeah sure. Pi go muna kay auntie ha.”

“Okay.”, sagot ni Pia

“I hope you’re not angry with him ate.”

“Don’t worry dad and I talk already in the phone. It’s just its our first time seeing each other again.”

Zoe take a deep breath and remember the time her dad tell her the truth.

“ She will not be my heiress.”

“What do you mean by that dad? She’s your daughter. The eldest.”

“Zoe you know that I never favor any of you. Or treat any of you differently from each other. I love you all the same.”

“Dad whats wrong?”

“Your sister and your brother they were adopted.”

Zoe was shock after hearing those revelation that her father told her. She couldn’t believe it.

“Noh. That’s not true. How come that they were not your own. Mom and you. I don’t remember.”

“We never told you dahil ayaw kong ituring na iba sila sayo. I even pay those news or writer na magsusulat about your siblings true identity because I do love them just like I love you.”

“Dad. Ito ba ang dahilan kung bakit ako yung pinili mo dahil di mo sila kadugo?”

“No! That’s not the reason just like I told you your brother don’t want to be bussinessman.”

“But how about ate. Shes your perfect daughter. You cant count on her.”

“I know you really admire your sister but Zoe your sister.”

“What dad?”

“I found out that she already know about being her and adopted. She gave some confidential information about our business in my rivals and because of that nagkaroon ng prob ang company. In fact marami natanggal na employee. Napakapusok ng iyung ate about sa emosyon. Without even thinking na maraming maapektuhan. That’s the reason.”

“No, i don’t believe that dad. Di magagawa ni ate ang mga ganyang mga bagay.”

“I hired a detective and confirm it. I confront her and she confessed . She did it because she was mad and hurt with me for hiding her the truth.”

“Dad but I knew ate just do it because she just hurt.”

“Maybe pero nararamdaman ko parin na may tinatago parin siya sakin. And because of that I really totally trust her.”

“Dad ate Trisha help me more than you nung time na umalis ako. I don’t think so she has any reason para sirain ka pa.”

“Maybe your right. But Zoe you don’t have to worry now we aready talk at nakapaglabas na rin siya ng sama ng loob sa akin so you have nothing to worry. Im trying to fix our relationship again.”

“Good dad cause I really know ate Trisha is a good person. Maybe she was just a liitle bit hurt that time that’s why she dis that. But I hope you will see also na di lang ako ang may capabalities na magpatakbo ng company also si ate din. Sana bigyan you pa siya ng chance.”

“Well I think about it.”

Present

“Hey Zoe.”

“Kyle? Whats up?”

“You really look good. Ibang iba kana talaga. Masasabi ko na your ready.”

“Thank but you know I think I need to learn more pa.”

“Na kaya mo na yan. Ikaw pa.”

“Ahm Kyle asan si Kim ? Bakit di mo siya kasama?”

“Ahmm.. I think shes with Lexie.

“Lexie? Why? May inutos ba si dad?”

“Ahm..”

Di alam ni Kyle paano niya sasabihin till natanaw ni Zoe si Lexie together with Kim. Zoe’s face is confuse when she saw Kim was talking closely to Lexie and holding hands.

“Zoe?”

Nakita ni Kyle ang mukha ni Zoe sa kinaroroonan ni Kim

“Am I missing something?”

Nakita ni Kyle ang confuse face ni Zoe

“You still didn’t know?”

“Know what?”

“Kim and Lex were dating.”

Halos mabilaokan ng laway si Zoe sa narinig niya. Di niya alam kung bakit may inis siyang nararamdaman ng panahong iyun. Pero pilit niyang tinatago dahil ayaw niyang mahalata siya ng kaibigan.

“Really?”

“I thought kim told you.”

“Ahm No, she didn’t told me. Tsak bakit pa niya sasabihin diba na lawyer lang nman namin si Lexie. About her personal life wala na kaming pakiaalam.”

Nakita ni Kyle na nag iba sa mood si Zoe.

“Zoe you really okay about this? Alam mo first palang nung nilagawan ni Kim si Lexie I told her na sabihin sayo but she said hahanap siya ng exact time. But Zoe Kim really likes Lexie. So don’t worry okay.?

“Kyle why are you telling me this?”

“Alam ko naging part sayo si Lexie kaya naman.”

“Okay lang talaga ako, ano ka ba. Matagal na yung sa amin ni Lex. Okay na kami. Ay wait kailangan ko pa pala puntahan si Pia sa aunt niya baka hahanapin ako nun. Sige bro.”

“Okay. Don’t worry ill tell Kim about what you said.”

“Okkay…”

“Oh Zoe. Kahit di mo sabihin i think you were not okay about it.”, sabi ni Kyle sa sarili.
