Need A Vocation

Kenneth never planned to visit his brother to be friendly with the man. However, problems with Sheina made Kenneth meet the man even though Kenneth was always wary of Erick's attitude. Kenneth had no choice at this point. Erick is one of the people who knows Sheina's secret besides himself. Kenneth couldn't talk about his personal problems with other people. At the end, Kenneth couldn't deny that Erick was the brother he needed the most at an important time.

"What did you want to talk to me about, Kenneth? I know you're not here to relax." Erick gave Kenneth the chance to save his time. Kenneth's aura was more somber than usual which let Erick know that Kenneth couldn't be joked with by Erick.

"I don't understand where to start this conversation with you." Erick saw Kenneth stumped for words for the first time.

"You can say the important points of the topic you want to convey." Erick sat staring seriously at his brother.

"Sheina already knows about all of our identities. Now she shuts herself in her room not wanting to talk to me." Kenneth licked his lips while tossing his hair.

"Pardons?" Erick frowned.

"I know you heard me. I hate repeating explanations." Kenneth still maintained a bit of his arrogance even now that he was having a discussion with Erick.

"How did Sheina know that identity?" Erick was clearly panicking a bit as everyone's natural reaction when his secret was discovered.

"Sheina has strange suspicions about my attitude and all the events that she has experienced since knowing me. She demands an explanation. I have to be honest with her, including about her identity related to her illness." Kenneth's voice dropped with the last sentence he said.

Erick swore. He couldn't help but be annoyed after hearing Kenneth's explanation. "This is the result of all your bad traits, Kenneth. You are stubborn, reckless, and never want to listen to what I have to say. I have tried to bring Sheina comfortably and safely in this place. But you chose to kidnap her."

"I didn't ask you to scold me as the reason I came to this place." Kenneth started to clench his fist offended by Erick's sentence that insulted him.

"I need to do it to make you realize how arrogant and selfish you are." Erick confronted Kenneth more daringly than usual. "Now, Sheina doesn't just hate you but all of us. What if Sheina doesn't trust us anymore? Can't you think long and hard Kenneth? If George manages to instigate Sheina, not only Sheina will be in a dangerous situation. But our entire clan."

"Damn, Erick! I admit my carelessness. Stop insulting me!" Kenneth started pounding the table.

"Now's not the time for you to lash out at me, Kenneth!" Erick also pounded on the table, rebuking his brother. Erick then exhaled. "What do you plan to do next? As an Alpha of our clan, you must have thought of some way to bring this situation under control."

Erick had returned to speaking in a normal tone to Kenneth respecting that man as the boss of their group. Kenneth also mollified his anger. Her pupils that had turned red with anger returned to normal. The wolf fur that was sticking out barely sticking out had shrunk. Kenneth caught his breath. The man licked his lips throwing away some of his pride.

"I ask you to meet Sheina to try to persuade her to talk. I hope she still tries to believe in you, Erick. Right now, I can only worry about Sheina's condition. I'm afraid something will happen to her in that room." Kenneth is not good at asking for help especially Erick.

Erick understands this. He didn't make a fuss about it. "I agree with your idea. I will pay a visit to your apartment to check on Sheina's condition."

After saying his request, Kenneth left Erick's hospital. Erick kept his promise. He visits Kenneth's apartment. Oscar gave Eric access to show the man Sheina's room.

"Sheina, It's me. Can we talk?" Erick knocked on Sheina's door.

"I don't want to talk to Mr. Kenneth and you or anyone else." Sheina made a sound in the room that made Erick think Sheina was still breathing. At least, Sheina didn't do anything bad that made everyone panic with her action.

Erick smiled wryly. Sheina's reaction was as expected. The woman was also annoyed at him. But Erick has not given up. Erick knocked on Sheina's door again. "Sheina, I know you're disappointed to think Kenneth's words were bullshit and all. That's your right. But I want to tell you that we don't want to take advantage of you. We want to protect you. You must have seen how Kenneth tried to save you several times. Kenneth and I care about you. "

Sheina finally opened the door making Erick smile at her. "Trust me, Sheina!"

Sheina exhaled. "Please, tell me everything, sir!"

"Sure." Erick convinced Sheina. “I will all tell me everything. You have the right to know." Sheina allowed Erick to talk to her. The woman tried to believe in Erick. Erick took a breath for a moment compiling in his head all the dictions he would tell Sheina. When Sheina looked more prepared, Erick told Sheina about the history of the good relations between werewolves and elves in the past. Erick also introduced Sheina about the clan in detail.

"I feel a little better after hearing all the stories from you, sir."

Erick smiled slightly. “Actually, Kenneth also has the same goal as me, Sheina. He just couldn't put the words together properly. I hope you understand my brothers more. He wasn't used to being friendly. His destiny as an Alpha demands that he always be firm.”

Sheina nodded her head listening to Erick's words. Erick breathed a sigh of relief when he was able to complete Kenneth's assignment well. “If you still have questions, you can come to me. Noted, with Kenneth's permission because I don't want you to act alone. George is keeping an eye on your movements. He must be plotting something sneaky to get to you. This apartment is the safest place for you.”

“Thank you, sir.”

Erick laughed. "You don't need to thank me like that. I was born with boundless beauty and kindness.”

Sheina laughed at Erick's joke. After finishing talking with Sheina, Erick immediately went to the hospital. While Sheina has started her activities as usual. The woman no longer locked herself in the room.

When Kenneth came home from work, Kenneth saw Sheina having dinner at the dining table. The man was a little hesitant to approach Sheina. Kenneth still has a fear that his movements will disturb Sheina.

When Sheina turned to him, at that moment Kenneth's heart was beating quite fast. He became mesmerized for a few seconds after not being able to see Sheina for a few days. Unfortunately, Kenneth didn't move. He still stood in his frozen position scanning all of Sheina's movements in detail.

“Sir, do you have time? I want to talk to you about something." Sheina even greeted Kenneth. Something that the man could not predict beforehand.

"Yes, of course." Kenneth approached Sheina and finally sat down in front of the woman.

Sheina played with her hand. “Can I ask you something? I want to take a vacation to a place to calm my mind.”

Kenneth smiled. “That is an easy request for me, Sheina. I have a private island. I will take you there tomorrow. There is a safe place and not many people. You can enjoy your time without interruption.”
