Chapter 152 151: Sex, Seraphine & Strange
Chapter 152 151: Sex, Seraphine & Strange
"Make love to me now."
For a moment, the words seemed to freeze the air between them.
Damien Drakaris stared at her, his breath uneven, his dark eyes searching her face as if he feared he had misunderstood.
"Seraphine..." he whispered.
Seraphine Vale did not look away. Her fingers rested against his chest, feeling the rapid rhythm of his heart beneath her palm. The dim light of the room wrapped around them, soft and warm, while the faint night breeze slipped through the curtains.
"I'm serious," she said quietly. "I want you."
Damien swallowed. "Are you sure?" he asked gently. "I don't want this to be something you regret."
Seraphine lifted her hand to his face, brushing her fingers along his cheek. "I won't regret you."
The sincerity in her voice melted the last of his hesitation.
Slowly, carefully, he leaned closer and kissed her again.
This time the kiss was softer, deeper, not rushed, not desperate. It was a kiss filled with everything they had been holding back: longing, confusion, devotion.
Seraphine's fingers slid into his hair as she kissed him back, her heart racing wildly. Damien pulled her closer, his arm wrapping around her waist as if she were something fragile he never wanted to lose.
The world outside the room seemed to disappear.
There was no academy. No prophecy. No enemies waiting in the shadows.
Only them.
Their laughter from earlier still lingered in the air, the taste of fried chicken, the bitter alcohol Damien had forced down just to impress her, the way he had tried so hard to understand the human world for her sake.
Seraphine felt warmth bloom inside her chest.
Damien kissed along her jaw, pausing as if memorizing every inch of her.
"Seraphine," he murmured, almost breathless. "You have no idea what you do to me."
She smiled faintly. "I think I do."
He laughed softly against her lips before kissing her again.
Slowly, she shifts, straddling his hips, her dress riding up her thighs. The friction of his trousers against her bare skin sends a shiver through her, and she rocks forward just once, just enough to feel the hard ridge of him beneath her. His breath hitches.
"Seraphine-"
"Shh." She presses a finger to his lips, then replaces it with her mouth, kissing him slowly and deeply. Her hands find the hem of his shirt, pushing it off his shoulders, revealing the lean muscle of his torso, the faint scars along his collarbone, old wounds from a life she only knows pieces of. He lets her undress him, his breathing rough, his hands gripping her hips like he's afraid she'll disappear.
When she finally settles over him, skin to skin, the heat between them is almost unbearable. She can feel the pulse of him against her thigh, the way his body tenses beneath hers, but he doesn't rush. His hands glide up her back, tracing the line of her spine, then higher, until his fingers find the ties of her dress. A tug, and the fabric loosens, slipping down her arms, pooling at her waist. The cool air kisses her bare breasts, her nipples tightening, and Damien's breath stutters.
"You're so beautiful," he murmurs, his voice rough. His palms cup her breasts, thumbs brushing over her nipples in slow, maddening circles. She arches into his touch, a whimper spilling from her lips. His mouth follows, hot and wet, sucking gently, then harder when she gasps.
Time moved strangely after that, slow and dreamlike.
Their movements were gentle, careful, like two people discovering something sacred rather than rushing toward it.
Seraphine closed her eyes, feeling Damien's hand tighten around hers. The connection between them deepened, something more than physical, something ancient and powerful.
Magic stirred.
At first, it was only a faint warmth beneath her skin. Then she was close. So close. The pleasure builds, a sweet, insistent pressure, and then-
A warmth spreads through her, starting in her core and radiating outward. It's not just heat. It's light. A soft glow at first, pulsing beneath her skin, then brighter, spilling between them like golden honey. It illuminates the room, casting Damien's face in sharp relief, his dark eyes wide, his lips parted in awe. The light flickers, dances, as if alive, wrapping around them both, threading through their tangled limbs, their joined breaths.
"Seraphine-" His voice is rough with wonder, his fingers stilling inside her. "What-"
She can't answer. The pleasure crests, crashing over her in a wave so intense her back arches, her nails digging into his shoulders.
Damien pulled back slightly, startled.
"Seraphine...?"
Her breathing quickened. "I- I don't know what's happening-"
The glow intensified.
Light poured from her like starlight breaking through clouds. It wrapped around them, filling the room with a radiant brilliance. The air hummed with energy, the same divine magic that once opened the Forbidden Gate now pulsing through her veins.
Seraphine gasped as the power surged.
The light grew brighter.
Brighter.
Damien held her tightly, shielding her as the glow surrounded them both.
"It's your power," he said softly, awe filling his voice.
Seraphine trembled as the energy rippled through her body, waves of magic spiraling outward like living constellations.
For a moment, she looked almost celestial.
A living star.
Then slowly - gently - the light faded.
The room returned to darkness, the only sound their breathing.
Damien brushed a strand of hair from her face. "You're incredible," he whispered.
Seraphine laughed softly, still catching her breath. "That... has never happened before."
He smiled. "I'm honored to be the first to see it."
She rested her head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat, her breathing still uneven from the surge of magic that had burst from her body.
Damien remained frozen.
Something felt... wrong.
A strange heat spread through his chest, deeper than anything he had felt before. At first, he thought it was simply the lingering power of Seraphine's magic.
But then the heat turned sharp.
Pain shot through his spine.
Damien suddenly pulled away, rolling off the bed as the feeling intensified.
His knees hit the floor.
"Damien?" Seraphine said quickly, sitting up. "What's wrong?"
He tried to stand.
But his legs trembled beneath him.
The strange sensation inside his body grew stronger, twisting through his bones like something ancient was waking up.
"I- I don't know," he said through clenched teeth.
Then the pain exploded.
Damien let out a cry, gripping the edge of the bed as his back arched violently.
"Damien!" Seraphine rushed toward him.
His scream tore through the quiet house.
A loud cracking sound echoed through the room.
Seraphine froze.
Something was moving beneath Damien's skin.
His shoulders jerked, his muscles tightening as if something inside him was forcing its way out.
Another crack.
Then suddenly, two massive wings burst from his back. Dark, powerful, and enormous.
Damien stared at them in shock. "What-"
He didn't finish the sentence. His body began to change.
The air around him trembled as ancient magic surged through his veins. His arms elongated, his fingers curling into claws as golden scales spread rapidly across his skin.
Seraphine stepped back in disbelief. "No... that's impossible..."
Damien had lost his dragon power.
They both knew that.
Yet the transformation continued.
His body grew larger, stronger, ancient energy roaring through him like a storm. Bones shifted, muscles expanded, and within seconds the man she knew was no longer standing there.
Instead-
A massive dragon filled the room.
Powerful wings stretched toward the ceiling, scales gleaming faintly in the dim light.
The creature's golden eyes opened slowly.
Confused. Shocked. Alive.
At that exact moment-
The bedroom door burst open.
"Seraphine?! I heard screaming-" Juna froze in the doorway. Her eyes widened in absolute disbelief.
Standing before her was Seraphine-
And behind her...
A gigantic dragon crouched inside the room.
For a long moment, no one moved.
Juna blinked once.
Then t
wice.
"...I'm going to assume," she said slowly, "this is not a normal human-world problem."
The dragon lowered its massive head slightly, clearly just as shocked as everyone else.
And Seraphine whispered the only thought racing through her mind.
"The dragon power... came back."
