Chapter 610 Visiting Lisa's House

Chapter 610 Visiting Lisa's House

Leroy pointed to his chest, brimming with confidence. "Who am I? My wife's a big-shot agent back home. Snagging a photo is is a piece of cake for her. No way no one's shared it or kept a copy."

"Leave it to me. We'll go live and take her down." His eyes sparkled with determination, like nothing could stop him.

"Alright, I'll do whatever you say," Arthur nodded quickly. He knew Leroy's capabilities well. Penniless and without any skills, he had no choice but to follow Leroy's lead. If it weren't for Leroy, Paul would have killed him in that warehouse long ago.

Arthur's eyes were filled with helplessness and submission, but when he thought of Emily and Zoey, a crazed, bloodthirsty look took over.

Lisa had just returned home after posting the photo when Emily showed up at her door with a group of assistants and bodyguards.

"Hey, Emily, what are you doing here? Weren't you in Yaxport?" Lisa looked at the crowd, unsure of Emily's intentions.

"The photo," Emily said bluntly.

"What photo?" Lisa was confused.

"Lisa, have I not made it clear that our friendship ended the moment Ethan and I broke up? Do you need a reminder of how you drugged me to get with Hubert?"

"Or do you wish I were in a vegetative state and had forgotten everything you said and did by my hospital bed?"

"If you don't get it, let me reiterate: we are not friends. We weren't before, we aren't now, and we never will be. So, keep your distance. Don't come to my house again, or next time, I won't be so polite. I'll send you straight to the police!" Emily was fuming.

But Lisa was equally enraged. What was Emily's problem? She showed up at Lisa's house early in the morning, spewing nonsense. What had Lisa done to deserve this?

Lisa mentally reviewed all the bad things she'd done in her life and found nothing that would have crossed Emily's line.

Raising her voice, Lisa said, "Emily! Why are you acting crazy this early? I thought you were here for a visit. Why be so harsh?"

"We were classmates for ten years, through middle school, high school, and college. Does that count for nothing?"

"Or have you climbed so high that you look down on us now? Just say the word, and I'll never bother you again. No need to come here and throw your weight around."

Emily scoffed, seeing Lisa's unchanged attitude. "Give me your phone."

She didn't want to waste more time on Lisa and just wanted to end this quickly.

Lisa, intimidated by Emily's demeanor, stepped back and leaned against the door. "What phone? Why should I give you my phone?"

Emily turned away, not wanting to argue further. Mason and the others quickly stepped forward, grabbing Lisa's arm and snatching her phone, which they handed to Curtis.

Curtis swiftly deleted all the photos and formatted the phone before handing it back to Lisa.

Lisa struggled desperately as she was pinned against the wall. Seeing Emily's lack of mercy, her eyes turned red with anger. "Emily, how are you any different from a thug now? My brother used to like you so much."

Emily, arms crossed, looked down at Lisa. "Don't come to the Watson Manor again. From now on, avoid any place where I am. I don't want to be your enemy, but if you provoke me, I won't hesitate to make the Moore Group disappear."

"You wouldn't dare!" Lisa shouted, but her authority had already crumbled before Emily.

Seeing her goal achieved, Emily turned and left without looking back.

Lisa, released by Mason and the others, collapsed to the floor, shouting after Emily's retreating figure, "Emily! You're going too far!"

When Brian arrived at the Moore Manor, Lisa was like a forsaken woman.

Clinging to Brian's leg, she cried, "Brian, you have to avenge me. Emily sent people to my house. What did I do wrong? I just visited her grandfather and took a photo of her mom. She's gone too far. She thinks she's above us now."

Brian knelt down, hugging Lisa's shoulders. "Lisa, we were never Emily's friends."

"She was right. We were Ethan's friends, and after he got with Amy, we became Amy's friends."

"Stop fooling yourself. Don't claim to be her best friend, and don't use her name to mingle with other elites."

"When the truth comes out, we'll be the ones embarrassed."

"But Brian, are we just going to let this go?" Lisa was unwilling to accept it.

"What else can we do? The Moore Group is on thin ice. How can we fight the Watson Group?" Brian replied.

"Besides, she just didn't want you taking photos of her family. Is that so wrong? You went to her house uninvited. That makes you a bad guest. Can't you see?"

"Emily is very protective of her adoptive mother. She never lets her appear on social media. You crossed a line."

"But why, Brian? Is her adoptive mother someone shady?"

"Lisa, stop being curious and talking about others' private matters. Let it go. If Emily didn't still care a bit, she could crush the Moore Group with a finger. Think about that."

After Brian left, Lisa looked at her empty phone.

Emily's behavior was too strange. She seemed to be hiding something. But why?

No, whatever Emily was hiding must be her weakness!

Lisa thought that if she could find Emily's weakness, the Moore Group could rise again.

Leaning against the doorframe, Lisa glared in the direction Emily had gone, pulled out her phone, and called a private investigator.
