Chapter 181 - Wanted by the Alpha Brothers
Nick sat back at the table with two coffee's and Arabella stood at his side like she had earlier. She wasn't leaving his side for anything.
"Arabella. You're making her uncomfortable. Which is pissing me off." Nick snapped at her.
"I don't trust her." Arabelle says.
"Well, go to bed then. Leave me alone with my daughter." Nick says.
"I'm not going anywhere." Arabella says.
"Suit yourself. But stop glaring at her." Nick demanded. And I looked at my watch on my wrist.
"Do you have somewhere you need to be?" Arabella asked mockingly.
"No. But you do." I say.
"And where is that?" She asked.
"Hell." I say looking up at her with an evil glint in my eye and her face changed. I could see in the kitchen cabinet that there were flames in my eyes and I raised my hand and threw a fireball at Arabella and she caught on fire immediately and started screaming.
Nick jumped up from the chair and backed away from me looking confused and angry at the same time. But he didn't have a chance to react against me as all of the windows and doors were being smashed all at the same time as the wolves were breaking through them and into the house.
We heard some vampires start screaming immediately as the sunlight hit them and they burst into flames and Nick turned around to see Asher's massive black wolf standing at the doorway to the kitchen. But he busted through the wall into the next room to get away from Asher and I threw a fireball at him as he ran away but I missed because he was too fast.
Asher followed through the hole in the wall and I ran out of the kitchen and into the hallway and I started running towards the back of the house when I realized that there was no one around the back of the house where I was. It was eerily quiet here with the distant sounds of the battle going on in other parts of the house.
"Behind you." Someone yelled. So I spun around and threw a fireball at the vampire and he burst into flames and ran through the wall and into the next room and kept running trying to put himself out. But he couldn't. And I realized that the person who saved me was Ivy. She was standing behind me.
"You came." I say. But she walked over to me and touched my arm and her hand went through me.
"I'm still at the packhouse." She says.
"Astral projection." I say.
"That's right. Did you really think I was going to leave this mission up to a bunch of bull headed warriors?" She asked.
'I heard that.' Asher's voice yelled through our minds. And we both started laughing.
"Come on." She says. So we headed back to the front of the house and it was absolute chaos.
There were werewolves everywhere against vampires. The werewolves were bigger than the vampires but that didn't really stand for much. The vampires could stand on their own.
"Asher took off after Nick." I say.
"It's alright. He called for back up. They'll get him." Ivy says.
"What do I do?" I asked.
"Do what you do best? Protect each other. Watch their backs. And I'll watch yours." Ivy says standing back.
I saw the fight ensuing and the werewolves were taking a beating. I knew that there were more outside but they were told not to come inside. So the ones that were in here getting hurt weren't going to get any help any time soon.
Axel was fighting one vampire who had managed to grab him around the flank and was squeezing him. I could hear Axel wheezing. He couldn't get out of it. He was trying to get that vampire off of him but he was getting weaker and weaker. And a second vampire started approaching.
So I raised my hand with a fireball in it and I aimed it at the vampire approaching Axel and threw it straight at him with a direct hit. He burst into flames and fell back away from Axel. I then ran through the battle in that room and I used Axel as leverage as I placed my hands on his back and I swung my legs around and kicked the other vampire in the face and he let go of Axel as he fell back against the wall and Axel and I both landed on the ground.
"Watch out Regan." Ivy yelled. So I jumped up and there was one running at me. I didn't have a chance to get my fire out before that vampire tackled me to the ground and placed its hands around my throat.
She was choking me and I was having trouble breathing but I refused to let go. I refused to give up. I wasn't getting scared. I was getting angry. Suddenly flames flew out of my eyes and straight into the vampire's face and she grabbed her face and started running around blindly and fell out of the broken window into the sunlight. So she was dead no matter what.
I started searching for Noah but he wasn't anywhere downstairs. I couldn't see him anywhere so I ran towards the stairs and I heard a lot of fighting up there. So I ran up the stairs and I started searching all the rooms. But I froze in the doorway of one of the rooms when I saw Noah on the ground unconscious.
