Chapter 175 - Wanted by the Alpha Brothers

The whole walk back to the packhouse was quiet. No one talked but I was fully aware of how close Ivy and Asher were behind me. They were angry with me. I knew that they were angry with me. I should have told them the truth from the start but I didn't think I had any choice. I had to keep it to myself. Noah was in danger.

When we got to the packhouse I noticed that the living room light was on and when I walked inside Noah ran over to me and hugged me.

"What the fuck do you think you were doing?" Noah snapped at me while still hugging me.

I could actually feel how angry he was. And he was letting me know. That was a lot better than Ivy and Asher. They weren't yelling or screaming or punishing me. They were just quiet. It was really nerve wracking.

I knew that they would never trust me again. They didn't have a reason to. I kept a huge secret from them and they needed to know the truth about vampires coming back to their territory. But I thought I would be leaving with them and they wouldn't know. But I guess I was wrong.

I have to admit though. Ivy was bloody impressive with that bow and arrow. I wish I could do something like that. But I doubt that's ever going to happen now. She's too angry and will probably want me to leave after tonight. But she looked incredible just standing there with that bow and arrow. And with one shot she got that vampire in the heart without any of us knowing that she was there. Now I know why she is called the Queen of the werewolves.

"Thank you." Ivy says behind me. And I wriggle out of Noah's arms to look at her.

"What?" I asked.

"Ivy can read minds. That's how she knew that you were going to be there tonight at midnight. She heard you and the vampire making the plans last night while we were having that meeting." Asher explained.

"That explains a lot." I say.

"And I don't hate you Regan. I'm just disappointed. I told you that you could trust me. And I thought you did. But sneaking out like that. I know that they threatened Noah, but this is the safest place on the planet. They are never going to get to Noah or anyone else in this pack. They were bluffing and they knew that you were new here so they used that. They were hoping that you would believe them and you did." Ivy snapped at me. I had never heard Ivy raise her voice before and right now she was doing it to me. I was really ashamed and nervous right now. Were they going to ask us to leave?

"I wouldn't have saved your life from those vampires just to kick you out of this pack and deliver you to the vampires. That would get Noah killed. And as for the bow and arrow, we start training first thing in the morning." Ivy says.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah. So, why don't you go and get some rest." She says. And Noah grabbed my hand and started dragging me towards the stairs.

Asher and Ivy were talking in the living room but the further I was pulled away the harder it was to hear them. And Noah took me to our room and he didn't say anything to me either as he sat on the bed.

"I'm sorry Noah. They said that they were going to kill you." I say.

"Well, you should have listened and believed Luna Ivy. There's no way they're getting on this territory. Alpha Asher told me that they are doubling patrols for the near future until they are sure that the vampires don't come back." Noah says.

"I didn't know what to do. I'm new with all of this shit, remember." I snapped at him.

"I know you are. Which is why you need to learn to trust us. The ones who have been living it our whole lives." Noah snapped back. I sat on the bed as well and I couldn't stop the tears rolling down my face. And Noah looked like he was sorry for snapping at me.

"Don't be sorry for snapping. I deserved it. I just, really got scared when he grabbed me tonight." I say.

"I know. Did Ivy and the others wait until the vampires stepped over the border?" Noah asked. And I looked up at him.

"Yeah. Actually, they did. I didn't notice that until you just mentioned it." I say.

"They had someone in the distance recording the whole thing as well. To prove that they were trespassing which gave the wolves every right to kill the vampires. The vampire council won't be able to argue with the evidence. That's how smart they are. They have all bases covered. They know what they're doing. They've been dealing with this shit for so much longer than we have. That's why we need to trust them and believe them. Ivy and Asher are here to help us." Noah insisted.

"You really hold them on a pedestal. When I thought I was human, I didn't know what to think of them." I say.

"That's because you only say what was on the news. You weren't given the information that werewolves were given. We were given inside information about the battles and fights and everything that Ivy and Asher did. And they belong on that pedestal." Noah says.

"Yeah. I'm starting to see that now." I agreed.

"Good. Now, let's get some rest. I doubt Luna Ivy is going to take it easy on you during training tomorrow morning." Noah says.

"You're right." I say.

We were woken up so early in the morning that I barely even heard the pounding on the door until Noah finally got out of bed and walked over to answer it.

"Alright. Up Regan. You said that you wanted to train. It's time to start training." Ivy announced coming into the room in full work out clothing.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"5am. If you want to train, then you are going to train your ass off. You need it more than anyone else. Now get up." She demanded. So I climbed out of bed and I looked at her clothes again.

"I don't have any clothes like that." I say. So she walked to the wardrobe and she tossed me a loose fitting shirt and some tights to put on. So I went to the bathroom to get dressed.

I vaguely heard Ivy and Noah talking in the other room and from the sounds of it, I wasn't going to be in for a good day.

When I came out of the bathroom I kissed Noah goodbye and then we headed downstairs and Ivy took me to a private training grounds.

"I reserved these grounds just for us today. Now, have you trained at all in your life to fight?" Ivy asked.

"No. But I can handle myself in a street fight." I say.

"Street fights aren't going to cut it against an army of vampires. You have more muscle tone. That's what we're going to get started on. We're going to build up the muscles before we get into actual hand to hand combat or before we actually do any weapons training. Understand, you probably won't be fully training like the warriors for a couple of weeks." Ivy explained.

"Alright. If that's what you think is best." I say.

"It's not what's best. It's what's necessary." She says. "Alright. We're going to start with 20 push ups. And I don't want to see those girly push ups either. You're not allowed to be on your knees." She says.

"Alright." I say. So I dropped to the ground and she dropped down beside me. She was actually going to do all of this with me. I couldn't believe it. The Luna of the pack was going to do everything that I was doing. She's the one that it meant to stand there and give me orders.

"I never back down from a fight and I never sit back and give people orders. If I can't do it, then I don't demand that other people do it for me." She explained to me. So we started the push ups and by the 6th one I was getting tired. It was getting really hard to push my body back up but Ivy was there encouraging me the whole time. Reminding me that I have a wolf inside of me that is waiting to come out. She might not be talking to me yet, but she's there and she is waiting for me. She's waiting to be released.

I finally managed to get the 20 push ups done and my arms were so weak afterwards. But then Ivy ordered me onto my back and we did 20 sit up but they weren't little sit ups either. She told me that we needed to sit all the way up to touch our toes. We did that 20 times and then we did 20 crunches where we didn't sit up the whole way and we just concentrated on the stomach muscles.

I was already hurting and in pain and we'd only been here for 20 minutes. But after that we got on our feet and she told me to have a water break and I saw Asher and Noah walk over to see what we were up to.

"Well?" Asher asked.

"Push ups, situps and crunches. So far." Ivy says.

"Is that all? How many each?" Asher asked.

"20. But give the girl a chance, It's her first time and she already looks like she's going to die of exhaustion." Ivy says.

"What's next?" Asher asked.

"Knee jumps with the weights." Ivy says. And that scared me. I didn't know what the hell that meant.

She called me back over after a minute and she handed me this round weight with a handle on the side of it and told me to hold it at hip length. She then demonstrated that I needed to basically keep light on my feet and kick my knee up until it hit the weight that I was holding at my hip. But only one leg at a time.

She demonstrated how to do it and she made it look so easy so I followed everything that she told me to do and I did it 20 times like she instructed and my lungs were burning by the time I finished. So she told me to do a lap of the training field and then I was free to go. And I was so thankful for that.

As soon as I finished the training I headed back to the packhouse and I had a shower and got changed and I walked into the bedroom and flopped on the bed, basically unable to move.

Noah walked into the room and laughed at me lying there.

"When does she want you out there again?" He asked.

"Tomorrow morning. How in the hell am I going to do this again tomorrow morning? I can't do this." I stated.

"Well, she's the Luna. So, you don't have much choice." He says.

"I know. Kill me now." I say. And he lied on the bed next to me and he reached over and held my hand.

That kind of comfort was all I needed right now. I feel like I really messed up last night. So now I have to do everything to prove myself worthy of this pack. And worthy of Ivy. She really is something special. And also a real ballbuster. I don't want to piss her off again.
