Chapter 170 - Wanted by the Alpha Brothers
He pushed me back down on the bed and climbed on top of me and I put my hands up under his shirt and he took mine off over my head.
He laid me back down while I was unbuckling his pants and this time we didn't need to worry about anyone bothering us like Leah did last time.
We had a perfect night together that night and I had so much trouble going to sleep that night. I looked over and Noah was sleeping beside me and he was out to it. But I got up and wrapped the sheet around me and I sat next to the window looking out at the scenery. I could see creatures running through the woods and I was warned that they would have double patrols on tonight knowing that there were vampires around.
I couldn't believe that all this fuss was being made over me. And I was still really unsure of the future. What Ivy and Asher had planned for me. They haven't told me much. Just that I was special and needed to be protected. I didn't know what that meant. I know that vampires are after me. But what does that really mean? What do they want with me? I had so many questions but I was afraid to ask them because I wasn't sure if I wanted to know the answer or not.
"Hey. What are you doing up?" Noah asked, leaning up on his elbows.
"I don't know. I guess I was just looking at the view. Wondering where the hell my life is headed. What the hell am I supposed to do now? What makes me so special." I say looking back at him.
"There's a lot of questions. You can ask them in the morning. But you need your rest. I don't believe that Ivy and Asher came all this way just to trick you into going back to their pack if their intentions weren't good. They help people. I know the world has mixed opinions about them. But the werewolf community doesn't. They help whoever they can. And that's why they came for you. They know that you need help." Noah explained.
"I guess." I say.
"Come on. Come back to bed." He says. So I walked back over to the bed and I put my head on his chest and he put his arms around me.
"I can't believe that we're going to be allowed to be like this every night from now on and there's no drunken whore screaming at the door trying to kick you out." I say. And Noah just chuckled.
“Yeah. But I knew that this day was coming. So did your mother. That's why she tried to keep us apart." He tells me.
"She knew that you were a wolf?" I asked.
"Yeah. She would have picked up my scent the second I walked into your house. Remember that day, she demanded that you break up with me and never see me again. She didn't want to get sucked into another pack." He says.
"I guess. I haven't had a chance to think about it." I say.
"No. It all happened really fast." He says.
The following morning we all had breakfast together and then we were escorted to the closest airport by the San Diego pack and we drove right up next to a private plane that was sitting there waiting for us.
I then heard someone yelling my name from inside the building and the doors busted open and my mother came running out. She was being chased by security but when she got to me she fell to her knees grabbing my arms.
"Please. Take me with you. Your father is going to kill me if you leave me here." Leah begged. But I ripped my arms out of her grip.
"Well, now you might know how all of your victims feel." I say looking down on her. And for the first time in my life, I wasn't afraid of this woman. I pitied her.
But the truth is, she's a serial killer. I am not taking her to Ivy and Asher's pack. There's no way I would risk the lives of their people when they have done nothing but show me kindness. And I doubt they would have allowed her to come anyway.
So I just looked down at my mother who was still on the ground crying and I held my head up high.
"Good bye Leah." I said and I walked up the stairs of the plane and Noah followed me as I went to go and sit down.
Once everyone was settled we took off and I looked out the window at everything flying around below me. We had only been in San Diego for about two years. That's the longest we've ever spent in one place and it was actually starting to feel like a real home there. But now I'm leaving again. I was going to miss the place. But I couldn't wait to see what was waiting ahead of me. I was excited to start a new life with Noah by my side. A dream come true.
