Chapter twenty six: Who ordered the attack?

“Alpha…..we were told to hold guns for extra security.”the men lied, making Tyler chuckle.

“Are you forgetting the fact that I need to approve of every change in the palace and I am not a cowardly King who would just accept what his beta says and signs without going through it.” Tyler said slowly moving closer to the men who felt nervous.

“And I most definitely didn't approve of guns in the palace.” Tyler added, making Sophie smile widely.

“Guards!!”Tyler yelled next making the men confused as they tried to run and Sophie was also confused at how Tyler tended to deal with the issue just then one of the men out of frustration shot Tyler.

Sophie couldn't believe what she had just seen, she yelled for the guards while the men escaped and Tyler fell to the floor, Sophie rushed up to him crying her eyes out as the guards and a few people rushed in.

“Help him please….some men came in here and shot him.” Sophie said as some of the guards rushed towards the direction Sophie pointed while the others lifted Tyler together taking him to his chambers and Catherine called for the palace doctor.

Sophie still couldn't apprehend what had just happened, Tyler got shot and she couldn't see it coming.

The doctor soon arrived and told everyone to excuse him while he treated Tyler, Sophie sluggishly returned to her room while the incident kept replaying in her head.

Just when she stepped into her quarters locking the door behind she saw the hybrid with a frown,

“Why are you here again?” Sophie asked in frustration.

“I should be asking you why you are so stubborn…I told you to take your revenge and you had your chance to kill Tyler and yet you decided to save him, what do you think saving him is going to change besides causing you more trouble?” the hybrid said angrily to Sophie who was also trying to hold in all her frustration and anger.

“He was dying and that was supposed to be me and he took my bullet!!” Sophie yelled.

“It was his fate and you weren't meant to change it, the moon goddess was giving you an easy way to victory!!” the hybrid yelled back but Sophie refused to say anything back.

“I just can't pinpoint how I couldn't see his shot coming,” Sophie whispered to herself, making the hybrid chuckle.

“That's the punishment you need to bear all the time ... you would never be able to see the person you hated the most vision before his death, you might see any other person's own but not his.” the hybrid concluded before vanishing away.

“That can't happen…i need to at least see Tyler in danger before it happens. I might hate him so much but whenever anything happens to him I feel the pain the most.” Sophie said to herself.

She couldn't even stay in her quarters as all her thoughts and mind was on Tyler who she went back to check and the doctor was having a few words with Catherine but as she got closer she could hear everything they were saying to each other.

“Who is Freya??” The doctor asked making Sophie rush quickly towards them.

“I am Freya.” Sophie said immediately pointing to herself.

“Tyler wants to see you.” The doctor said to Sophie pointing to the door as a wide smile spreads across Sophie’s face, Tyler survived the attack, Sophie rushed quickly to see Tyler who smiled immediately their stare met each other.

“You scared me.” Sophie said calmly.

“Were you that scared I might die?” Tyler joked opening his shirt to show her the covered place in his stomach.

“It’s a good thing does men missed a spot they almost took my life.” Tyler joked again.

“Stop joking around… you scared the whole kingdom and mostly me since those men were targeting my life but took yours.” Sophie said to him, while Tyler tried to stand up but Sophie won’t allow him.

“You shouldn’t do that, you just got sowed up it’s not even up to ten minutes and now you want to sit back up.” Sophie said gently pushing him back to the bed as he groaned in annoyance.

“I feel so uncomfortable.” Tyler whined making Sophie laugh out loud.

“I am sorry you had to be on a sick bed instead of me.” Sophie said staring deep into Tyler’s eyes like she was trying to find something but it was already lost.

“I am thirsty.” Tyler said breaking the silence and Sophie scanned around for water when she noticed the water behind her.

And when she would turn back to Tyler with the water he was already seating.

“Tyler.” Sophie called in frustration while he took the water from her and dropped it in a nearby table pushing her chair close to him.

“I wasn’t tasty for water.” Tyler said confusing Sophie even more.

“Then what are you tasty for?” Sophie asked but Tyler refused to say a word other than continuously staring at her lips.

“I am tasty for your lips.” He finally replied and the next thing she knew Tyler lips had collided with hers, this time he didn’t kiss her harshly but very gently taking his time to nibble on her lips and at the same pulling her closer with her waist.

Sophie really wanted to pull herself away but she just couldn’t do it… she loved Tyler and couldn’t even dream of letting him go and this was the first time she was feeling his love and warmth through just a kiss.

The kiss continued to get intense as Tyler wasn’t even giving breathing space for the bit the of them both of them as he continued to devour her lips and all the flavors, he gently lifted Sophie from the chair to his lap like a pro as his hand travelled down waist grabbing them tightly, just then the door swung open but while Sophie pulled away Tyler kissed her back not caring who it was.
