Chapter Twenty: i miss you Freya

Sophie felt even more betrayed than before, she never even knew that she had a child in her womb ever in her life… how was Tyler aware and even flushed the child out of her body.

“How could he do something like that to me..?” Sophie sobbed, she made sure to pack all the letters before rushing out of the room.

After signaling the maids that she was done and went back to her quarters with the letters hidden beneath her dress she decided to go through them carefully and make no mistake finding the culprit in her death as she couldn’t tell the maids what exactly she took as she wasn’t ready to trust them yet.

Sophie sat comfortably, cleaning the tears from early from her face as she tore open all the other letters she hadn't opened yet.

As Sophie continued to read the letters, her heart sank deeper with each word. The letters revealed Tyler's betrayal, as he promised Catherine to make her his Luna if Sophie was dethroned. The weight of the betrayal was overwhelming, and tears streamed down Sophie's face uncontrollably.

In that moment, Sophie felt a mixture of emotions—hurt, anger, and a deep sense of betrayal. She couldn't understand how Tyler could do something so cruel and deceitful. The pain she felt was indescribable, as she realized the extent of the lies and manipulation that had been woven around her.

As Sophie wiped away her tears, she couldn't help but question her own judgment. How had she been so blind to Tyler's true intentions? She had trusted him with her heart and her life, only to have it shattered into a million pieces. The pain was unbearable.

But Sophie was ready to bear them all just to see where all this letters led to, she took up the next letter and it was another love letter between Tyler and Catherine as Sophie tried to take in all the information it’s still didn’t make any sense to her…she could recall most of her past lives and mostly the once she had with Tyler and she never for once could remember how Tyler would have such a secret affair and secondly Tyler wouldn’t hide something like that because he would want to punish Sophie by showing the mistress in her face.

Sophie's mind raced as she tried to recall any instance in her past lives where she had caught Tyler cheating on her. She sifted through her memories, searching for any sign of infidelity, but nothing came to the surface. It was as if Tyler had always been faithful in their previous lives.

However, as Sophie delved deeper into her memories, a sudden recollection surfaced. She remembered a moment when Tyler had introduced Catherine as the new maid. The memory was vivid—Tyler's voice filled with warmth as he spoke highly of Catherine's skills and dedication.

The realization hit Sophie like a bolt of lightning. Catherine wasn't just an ordinary maid. There was a connection between her and Tyler that Sophie had failed to see before. The pieces of the puzzle started to come together, now it began to make so much sense to Sophie.

She had been the fool from the very start and never noticed even with Catherine always being around Tyler back then, just as she was about to go through the letter that had to deal with her unborn child being killed when she heard a knock on the door making her jerk up in fright, who could it possible be?? Sophie called and still sat on her bed while making a quick hiding spot for the letters before standing up to get the door.

To her surprise it was Tyler who was drunk and in his alpha coat and a wine clearly he was drunk.

“ I missed you Freya,” Tyler said to Sophie makingbhe recover nose immediately so as to avoid the odor coming out of his mouth.

“ is that why you are here, to torment me about you being drunk or what?” Sophie questioned and before she could ask anything he pulled her closer to himself with her waist and clasped his lips on her.

“Alpha.” Sophie blunted out from the intense kiss but she was pulled even closer by his.

“You are punishing me too much and I can’t cope… I can’t just continue to stare at your lips without kissing it.” Tyler said to Sophie, his forehead placed on hers as she tried to catch her breath.

As Sophie tried to push Tyler away, he persisted in kissing her, causing her to feel a mix of conflicting emotions. Her mind told her to resist, to stand up for herself and not let him manipulate her any longer. But her heart, still holding onto the memories of their love, began to melt under the weight of his kisses.

With each tender touch of his lips, Sophie's resolve weakened. The familiar sensation of Tyler's embrace stirred up memories of their past, clouding her judgment and making her question her own feelings. It was difficult for her to ignore the spark that still existed between them, even after all the pain and betrayal she had endured.

But deep down, Sophie knew she couldn't let herself be swayed so easily. She had to stay strong and remember the truth hidden within those letters she had discovered. Tyler's actions had caused her immense pain and she couldn't simply forget or forgive him in an instant.

Summoning her inner strength, Sophie pushed against Tyler's chest, breaking free from his grasp. She looked into his eyes, her voice filled with determination.

"Tyler, stop. This is not right. You cannot just come here, drunk and expect everything to be easy and free to you, but I just want you to know I don’t do such.” Sophie warned about to push him out but he was still strong headed and refused to let go of Sophie.

“You belong to me…” Tyler murmured still standing strong to the ground not wanteing to let go.

“You are mine …. Sophie.”
