Chapter 32 NEW GIRL
LILIAN POV
“And where exactly do you think you're going to” ugh!.
My heart flew out of my chest when I heard Jonah, “ Jesus jonah, I would rather die of high sugar than a stupid heart attack was that necessary”.
He started laughing holding onto his stomach to lessen the pain from too much of laugh.
“Oh, shut up” I pushed him aside and entered properly inside my room then I collapse on my bed, oh my God am so tired!.
Jonah sat behind me, “ Why are you sneaking into your own house” I didn't answer him, am not ready for his bullshit!.
That was when he squited his eyes at me, “ Sure you're not a highway thief or something”.
That made me to sit up real quick “ Jonah am trying to get some sleep here and I don't know why you're awake by this time come to think of it what the fuck are you doing inside my room ?”
He nervously scratched the back of his neck, “ I don't wanna sound stupid but I had a bad dream and wanted you know…”
“C'mon don't be such a baby, it's just a dream… what was it about ?”
“ I was being chased by those damn men, they were in black with huge weapons and it was so terrifying, I kind of thought was going to die but thank goodness it was a dream”
“ Well it not actually scary much but you know you're safe here right ?” I asked him just to assure him that his safe with me.
He just nodded, “ Yeah I know, I mean if they try shit you could bite them off”
I immediately sat up when I heard him say that, “ And for the record I don't want any other person to know am a God-damned vampire okay ?”
“ Yeah whatever, try to get some sleep..
You look like a zombie”
I threw my pillow at him and laid down comfortable hmm time to sleep.
Earlier the next day
“ LIlian breakfast is ready, and can you be fast please I don't wanna be late today”
I walked up to my mirror to check how my face looks like before I leave the room, “ yeah coming just some final touches” I murmured to no one in particular.
I rushed down the hallway to the kitchen, Jonah was already devouring his own meal, at least one of the least of the thing his good at.
When I sat down he looked at me and smiled, “ Finally decided to wear something nice huh”
I just ignored him and started eating, “ remember your tables manners young lad ?”
He rolled his eyes at me when I said that, “So how did you enjoy your first day at work yesterday huh”
With food stuffed in his mouth, he didn't say anything just continued eating, “ Jonah I asked a question”.
“ Working there was great yesterday okay, am just not used to labour so with time I would adjust to it, I mean the pay is good”.
“ Yeah, thats one of the reasons am still working there the tips from customers could pay my bills but if you don't like the job you can let me know then I could take you to a strip club to work”
He almost chocked on his food when I said that which made me to laugh at him and he narrowed his eyes at me, “ your evil !”
“ I mean if I don't keep you entertained, who would ?” He shrugged and since I was done I did my dishes and took my backpack ready to go.
“ Jonah hurry up, did Mia call you last night” I asked as I opened the door to go out.
Jonah emerged from the hallway with his backpack ready, “ Nope she didn't call, maybe she was tired you know”
I dragged him out since he didn't wanna be fast and shut the door, “ yeah whatever”
While we were walking down the road, Jonah kept side eyeing me and since I was fast with eye contact I caught him for like the fifth time already, I breathed out, “alright, Spill it “
He laughed nervously, “ see not to sound creepy but how does it feel”
I raised my eye brow at him at the random thought of his , “ how does what fell like ?“
He shrugged, “ the vampire shit, I mean how does it feel like “
I slumped my shoulders, “ Well it was quite Normal for me, apart from the part that the first bite hurt like a bitch and the transformation it's not something I would wanna talk about ever !”
“ Yeah that sounds painful though, do you still fell emotion “
“ Jesus Jonah, yes of course… can we just drop this conversation right now “
He bowed his head “ Anything you say, my lady “
I nugded him on his shoulder, “ oh shush it”
When we got to school Mia wasn't in school yet which means that she was running late, I went into the class I had for the morning but the teacher hasn't arrived yet and since Jonah and Mia didn't take the class with me, it was boring, I slumped my shoulders down and relax on my chair before I heard Footsteps coming my way.
It wasn't our teacher footsteps because I knew majority of my class teachers walk-in step, I stayed glued to my chair like I wasn't aware the person was already standing in front of me.
I raised my face up and it was a naive new looking girl, she smiled at me when she saw that I looked at her, “ Can I help you with something”
She dismissed me with her hands, “ No not at all, I just wanted to ask whether someone is seating here” she said pointing at the chair beside me which was empty isn't it obvious that nobody is seating there or she wants to play dumb”.
I shook my head, “ nope it's vacant “ with that I laid my head back on my desk before I heard her say “Am Lucy you ?” Ugh all these new comers gotta learn how and when to keep there mouth shut but any ways since she talked nicely.
I raised my head and saw her hands out to exchange handshake, “ Am Lilian, nice to meet you”
She gave me a nod which I returned and she was about to say something, but we were interrupted when the teacher came. Thank goodness !.
Not long after classes were over, it was lunch time, I went and sat together with Jonah and Mia for lunch I mean what's school lunch without your friends with a little ounce of gossip !
I took the first spoon of my food into my mouth while listening to Mia bad mouthing a teacher then I remembered the girl from earlier, “ I have a new girl in my first period”
Mia paused what she was saying and looked at me while Jonah just went on with his food, “ what does she look like ?”
“ Human !”
Mia rolled her eyes at me in annoyance, “ You know what I mean”
I shrugged and said, “ she has the popular school cheerleader vibes, blonde hair and other shit but she talks nicely though, she said her name was Lucy”
Jonah stopped what he was doing and came closer, “ does she look like my type”
I pushed him back to his own chair “ Jonah when we're done clearing your debts then we can talk about girls, for now… finish your damn food”
