“LIlian why the fuck did my sneakers go to” I heard Jonah ask me from the hallway …ugh this boy is more annoying than I imagined jeez.
I breathed out and started looking under the chairs to check where he kept it “ I don't know… you slept off last night since you were too tired after dinner so… how do you expect me to know how you keep your shit”.
“ Just one day in… and am already losing my stuffs LIlian”
I stood up and stretched myself “ Jonah leave me the fuck alone, get another one oh… you didn't come with extra right ? “
“ Nah but I could borrow yours right ?” He said with a puppy eye.
That was when I knew what was going on this motherfucker hid his shoe on purpose “ Yoo am starting to think you hid your shoe on purpose” I gave him a glare and just threw my hands up in the air in frustration..
“ Fine wear mine just for today though, have you called Mia and told her about what happened between your mom and shit “ I said and sat down at the cushion as he wore my shoe practically forcing his damn legs in it.
“uhm haven't called her yet but I will tell at class today yeah ?”
“ Sure and we're going to the cafe after school so you could apply for a part time there, the pay is good though you just have to work hard” I stood up and tapped his shoulder.
“ As much as I hate to ask you this but am not a bad person yeah so am gonna ask as the big person here… are you okay after all the stuffs going on with you ?” He glared at me and shoved my hands out of his shoulder.
“ Oh fuck off… let's go already we're late you dumbass”
I shoved him out of the house door “ Bro you don't have to insult or cuss all the time, but for real are you okay buddy” I asked him as I locked the door tightly.
“ Yeah I mean no shit, am still breathing right” he said with an awkward smile. His always the type not the show emotion but life just knows how to get you a skirt when there's much wind Instead of some coat to cover you up.
I walked down the steps with him following up and we walked down to the end of my street before I looked at him and decided to play the hero “ if anything goes wrong call me okay ?”
“ Yes Mommy “ he said in a monotone voice and I just ignored him.
When we got to the school environment I bid him farewell when he wanted to go to class and I made sure to tell him to call Mia and ask her to meet up at the garden during lunch break so we can discuss the current situation out.
When I made to take a turn I bumped right into someone but guess who fell to her ass with legs raised, me !.
“ Jeez watch where you're going, you can't be dump even out of your classes “ Seraphine said before making an attempt to just pass me and walk away she wasn't aware it was me.
I stood up dusted my clothes hurriedly and followed her “ you know for someone who practically threw me butt flat to the floor an apology would be nice “
She turned back and looked at me not even surprised hmm she hides emotion well “ Of all people I had to run into this terrible morning it had to be you Lilian” she said and rubbed her fore head seems like our little vampire is stressed.
“ Morning miss. Vale “ I said in a high pitched voice and a really almost believing fake smile.
“ LIlian meet me after school okay, right now your greetings should be on pending”
“ C'mon that's rude don't you think huh !” I said and bumped her.
“ Lilian !”
“ Sorry… haha and have a full welcoming day Miss. Vale “ I gave her a bow and went off to finish my duty for the day.
The classes were so boring don't even get me started of when it was Seraphine class time, she practically gave us a pop up test not only that she also marked it in our presence called out score and screamed at people who got from ninety - eight over hundred which was ridiculously because that was my exact score … she just spared the ones that were below me saying they should give it better chance next time.
When it was break time I rushed over to the garden, we had the discussion with Mia and she kept screaming always dramatic y'all know Mia, but she had a way of comforting Jonah with her sense of humor and I was grateful for that, she's the best.
When break time was over I didn't have class for the rest of the day and since Seraphine already reached us that means she has a free period now..
I walked to her office which I hardly come to and knocked twice and stood there before she opened it and saw me.
She stepped aside and said “ c'mon in “ then she went back to her desk and sat down.
I sat at the chair that was available since she didn't offer me one and everywhere was silent, a kind of awkward silence though and I wasn't comfortable.
“ Um Seraphine you called me here are we facing any issues “
She looked up from what she was doing and breathed out “ Nope nothing is wrong for now, am just stressed”
I snorted but when she gave me a glare I swallowed it down my throat “ yeah sorry, Teaching a bunch of teenagers is sure stressful yeah… um yesterday I brought Jonah in…”
“ What do you mean in !” She said staring at me intensely.
“ Easy there tiger okay, he just had some minor issues with his mom and he didn't have a place to stay so I offered to share my space with him… just wanted to let you know” I said with a shrug.
“ What if you go for hunt one day and come back with blood all over you wouldn't he find it weird ?”
“ Last time I checked am not a monster that just eat shit and I can't remember when last I felt the urge to feed “ I said and slouched back into the chair to relax my shoulders.
She placed her hand on her jaw to support it “ Am gonna feed Tonight, it's been like two weeks since I feed and the frustration is being real right now am gonna take it out on anybody”
“ So that's why you've been taking your frustrations out on me, I nearly peed on myself back at the class man jeez”
She laughed at me and said “ yeah sorry about that but you seem like an easy target, you can go now “ and waved her hand at me.
I stood up and made to leave but turned anyways I always wanna look for trouble .. i faced her and said “ And it better be an animal you're feeding”
She gasp and said “ Oh shut the fuck up!”
