Chapter 206 Vampire Luna
Chapter 206 Vampire Luna
Damon stepped up to the front edge of the high wooden platform, letting his dark, unblinking eyes sweep across the ocean of pale, petrified faces staring back at him. Fresh crimson blood dripped heavily off his leather gloves, splashing onto the floorboards with a wet, sickening sound.
"What is that look on all your faces?" he rumbled, his deep voice carrying a cold, terrifying edge that echoed across the silent square. "Have you lot never seen blood spilled in your lives before? Answer me! Is this truly the first time?!"
He took a slow, calculated step forward, slamming his heavy boot against the wood. "Well, get used to it! Whoever dares to defy my orders, this exact bloody fate will be waiting for them. And no one—I mean absolutely no one in this entire territory—is exempt from this rule!"
A dark, ruthless smirk pulled at the corners of his red lips as he tilted his head, watching the crowd flinch in pure terror.
"Viewer discretion is advised, my people," he purred softly, his voice dropping into a chilling promise that sent cold shivers straight down my spine. "Because today, you are all about to witness something far, far worse. I told you earlier that I was going to slaughter an entire family, and I assure you I was not bluffing for a single second. Simply knowing that a person is a bloodsucking vampire and keeping quiet is a heinous crime punishable by death. Being a vampire's friend is a death sentence. Even a newborn baby whose father happens to be a vampire has already committed a fatal crime simply by being born into this world! And I mean every single word that comes out of my mouth!"
He spun around on his heel, his jaw setting into a hard, unforgiving line as he raised his voice into a thunderous roar. "BRING IN THE TRAITORS!"
At his sharp command, the heavy iron side doors of the stage house swung wide open. A long, tragic procession of prisoners was roughly shoved out into the bright sunlight by a squad of heavily armed garrison warriors.
They were all bound together in a continuous, agonizing chain that linked them hand to hand in a single long line. Fathers, mothers, young sisters, uncles, aunts, and innocent young children were all shackled together like cattle being led straight to a slaughterhouse. There were easily about twenty people in total, and almost every single one of them was sobbing uncontrollably. The youngest children were wailing loudly, clinging frantically to their mothers' torn dresses as their little legs trembled against the wooden floorboards.
Only one man among them was shackled differently from the rest.
He was in his early forties, his tall frame completely wrapped in thick, reinforced iron chains that bound him tightly from his ankles all the way up to his neck. His broad chest heaved with heavy, desperate breaths, and his eyes glowed with a deep, unmistakable crimson red—the distinct, undeniable mark of a full-blooded vampire. He was forced down onto his knees directly in the center of the stage, while the weeping family members were lined up along the side of the platform.
Damon casually strolled up to the group, pointing a blood-stained glove toward the trembling prisoners.
"This entire family standing right here has been actively sheltering a vampire in their home," Damon announced to the crowd, his voice dripping with absolute disgust. "They helped him live low-key right under our noses without being detected by my patrols. They foolishly called him a trusted family friend simply because their father and this bloodsucker used to be best friends years ago!"
He turned his ruthless gaze toward the terrified children, his top lip curling back into a ferocious sneer. "Now every single one of them is going to suffer and perish for the unforgivable sins of their father!"
Damon gestured sharply toward the garrison guards standing near the center. "Loosen the chains!" he shouted. "Unshackle only the vampire!"
The guards moved quickly, unlocking the heavy iron padlocks and stripping the heavy chains off the crimson-eyed man, leaving him kneeling alone in the pool of fresh blood on the floorboards.
Damon stepped right up to the vampire, looking down at him with a cold, predatory stare. "How many innocent people have you killed?" he demanded, his voice low and dangerous.
The vampire man shook violently, his entire body vibrating with pure, overwhelming fear as he looked up at the terrifying Alpha with wide, bloodshot eyes. "It... it has been very long since I killed anybody, Your Majesty!" he stammered out, his voice cracking with desperate tears. "I swear to you, I haven't fed on a human in years!"
Before the words could even fully leave the man's lips, Damon rushed forward with blinding, unnatural speed.
He lunged like a starved beast, grabbing both of the vampire's wrists in his massive hands. With a sickening, brutal display of raw strength, Damon snapped the man's arms like dry twigs and violently ripped his entire left arm clean off his shoulder!
A horrifying, high-pitched scream of agony tore from the vampire's throat as a fountain of dark blood sprayed into the air. But Damon didn't pause for a single breath. He grabbed the man's remaining right arm and tore it away from his torso with the exact same merciless force!
The vampire collapsed flat onto his stomach, rolling in his own blood and screaming in unspeakable agony as thick crimson fluid splashed heavily across Damon's face, neck, and clothes.
Damon leaned down, roughly flipping the mutilated man onto his chest with his heavy boot. He drove his bare fingers deep into the vampire's back, locking his grip onto the man's spine. With one sharp, ferocious jerk, Damon ripped out his entire spinal cord, tearing flesh and bone apart in a single horrific motion!
Without dropping the bloody bone, Damon plunged his hand straight back into the open cavity of the man's stomach, tearing out his intestines and casually dumping the gory pile onto the wooden floorboards right beside the corpse. The gruesome, violent sight was so utterly terrifying that several people in the crowd fainted on the spot, while others vomited in pure horror.
Damon stood up slowly, taking a deep breath as he adjusted his blood-drenched collar. The scattered, mutilated body of the vampire lay motionless across the ruined platform in a mass of gore.
He turned his back on the horrific scene and took a step toward the edge of the stage, preparing to take his leave as if he had just completed a routine chore.
He paused, casting one last, utterly heartless glance toward the line of twenty weeping family members chained together on the side.
"Burn the f
amily," he ordered coldly.
