Chapter 78: The billionaire finds love

The show concluded successfully, and it was time for the rich lady, Gwen, the ex-wife of Mark, the billionaire, to leave the city for a secret location where she hoped to find tranquility. When she returned to her home, where she now lives with Ham, her bodyguard and fiancé, she formulated a plan to leave the city life as soon as possible. With her alluring gesture and sexy gaze, she drew Ham into the bedroom.

Gwen began by declaring as they sat on the sofas in the bedroom, “I’ve proven my righteousness to the people of the city. Many people’s lives will be saved. It’s all because of me. I believe it’s time for me to disappear into my private woman and escape the chaos of this metropolis. I’d like to know where you stand with me. Will you accompany me?” Ham smiled since he had promised to be there for Gwen during every storm.

“I put the engagement ring on your finger not to show off, but to demonstrate my commitment to our relationship. I am, however, willing to accompany you to whatever location you want.” Gwen was amused by Ham’s remark and was about to kiss him when her phone rang. It was Anne, Sandra’s mother, who caught her gaze. Gwen didn’t know her, but she recognized her as the owner of one of the charitable groups to which she had donated.

Ham explained as she hesitated to answer the phone, “People are responding to show their gratitude to you for the work that you have done for them. Please answer the phone, my lady. Don’t be afraid.” Indeed, she followed Ham’s suggestion and answered the phone, only to discover that it was Sandra’s mother who had called.

“I just called to express my appreciation. You’ve done so much for the community. Your name will be remembered as well. However, I am Sandra’s mother, and I want to tell you something. You are not alone in what you are experiencing. Hundreds of owners of the organization to which you have donated will follow. You are both our leader and our mother.

Thank you very much.” Gwen was rendered speechless. She grew enraged at first when she realized she was chatting to Anne, her ex-husband’s fiancée’s mother. She then rectified herself and calmed down.

“I appreciate it so much, mama. I’m only attempting to be a decent citizen of the city. I am delighted to hear your words.” Gwen responded, but the phone line was cut off owing to a network problem.

“Get up and let us leave the city right away.” Gwen stated after the phone call was ended. She spoke as she moved towards Ham. He only shook his head and looked at her. Gwen approached him, and he grabbed her by the waist and seated her on him. Gwen is curious as to what Ham was thinking.

“We must leave immediately. I’ve already purchased a plot of land on the farms for us. The only thing left for us to do is depart. I’m not going to sell this house because I and Mark both own it.” Gwen screamed in response. Then Ham let her get up and began packing her belongings. He then stood up and began to assist her. Their goal was to leave everything in the house but only take a few clothing.

After completing his packing, Ham went to his guards and informed them that, “we are leaving the city for the countryside. We don’t know how long it will take. Those who wish to join us can begin preparing, but those who want to stay in the city can leave us and abandon their jobs.” They kept quiet since they didn’t want to lose their employment.

stated one of them, Okino, “We cannot afford to leave our job as security. We abandoned our jobs at the Melon security firm to follow you for a purpose.”

Ham gave a nod of his head and added, “go home and kiss your wives and your kids and then come back in next three days so that we can leave the city with you.” They left Ham immediately for their homes, without hesitation. Ham was left in the house with Gwen. He arrived to find her already bathed but primping herself. She had no idea Ham had sent away the security guards.

“Bring my bag to the car. We are not going with this army of security guards all at once.” she said to Ham, to which he replied, “I have sent them all home to prepare for the journey. This is how you get rid of some of them. I’ll only phone five of them once we’ve arrived at the farmland.”

“You’ve done well. Let us now leave.” She took her luggage to the car after primping herself, and Ham drove her to the north of Melon. A place full of farms and dense woodlands.

As she neared her destination, she commented on social media, “I had much with city life. I’m going to my private place where I can find peace.”

Mark noticed it and told Sandra, “Gwen has left the city for the farmlands.”

Sandra replied, “She’d had enough of the city’s insane behavior. It was her intention to disappear, and while we don’t know where she went, my father can follow her out and find out where she is.”

They noticed a private automobile parking by the gate while they were talking by the palm tree in the chill of the day.

“That appears to be your family. Were you aware of their visit? How come they didn’t tell us?” Mark inquired as he and Sandra made their way to the gate to meet Anne and her daughter, Lear. Sandra didn’t say anything till they got to the gate and opened it. Anne spoke as she walked through the gate.

“Please excuse us for unexpectedly showing here. We’ve made too many promises concerning our visit. We just chose to turn up.” Anne spoke up as she approached Sandra and Mark. She hugged Mark first, followed by her sister.

“Don’t worry, mama. How was the trip to Westgate?” Mark inquired as he and his mother-in-law proceeded towards the house.

“It was fantastic because we knew Joel was watching over the entire city. We are secure. I’m not sure about you.” She responded, and they arrived at the house where they are going. Sandra and her sister then cooked lunch for the family as Mark and Anne talked in the living room.

“Sandra should go to the doctor on a regular basis. She must continue to have regular checkups until she gives birth to her twins. Carrying twins is not the same as carrying a single baby. It’s dangerous and requires caution.” Anne informed Mark, who nodded his head.

“I was thinking about hiring a doctor and some nurses to care for her. They will do all possible to preserve the pregnancy in good form.” Mark replied, and Anne thought it was a wonderful idea. Sandra and Lear entered the sitting room carrying lunch. They delivered it to Mark and Anne, then sat with them in the living room and ate as a family. During their meal, they were completely silent. Lear then brought the filthy dishes to the kitchen.

When Sandra followed her, Mark said, “We have been in discussions with your mother about the safety of your pregnancy. I promised her that we would hire nurses and a doctor to care for you inside the house. You don’t have to sway like a normal lady while your husband is a billionaire.” Sandra was beaming at this point. She laughed and turned to face her mother.

“I appreciate your consideration. I am relieved to know that you are looking after me. We need to talk about marriage right now.” She smiled as she headed to the kitchen and responded. Her mother and fiancé were left considering the marriage issue for a bit until Mark’s phone rang. It was Diva who called.

“I know you sent me the memorandum of understanding. I’ll return it once it’s signed.” Mark spoke to the phone as if he already knew what Diva wanted from him over the phone.

“You were correct, and your ex-wife has left the city to the north of Melon, in the Lirico farms. You are free to live your life as you like. By the way, I’ll be waiting for your feedback.” She responded, and Mark felt awkward because he was conversing with another lady in front of his mother-in-law. He hung up the phone and returned his attention to Anne.

“We should begin planning for the marriage, which will take place within the next six months. I’m not sure how big the bride’s tummy will be owing to her pregnancy.” They laughed when Mark said this.

“There isn’t much to prepare, son. You have no choice but to invite your friends and family to the wedding. The hall where the wedding will be place will then be rented by you. But it’s only a one-day event, so there’s nothing to worry about.” Sandra entered the sitting room with a smile when Anne finished speaking, followed by her sister. Anne stared to Mark, who smiled as he gazed at Sandra.

He then turned to his mother-in-law and said, “I’ll call my friend Carlos, who is also Sandra’s doctor. I’ll also communicate with my lawyer, Abel. He is a friend of mine. However, the marriage will take place during the following six months, beginning today. I’d like to start making plans.”

“That’s great news, my son. I am very proud of you, and I will spend a few days in the house before returning home the next week.” Anne replied. Her daughters took her hands and walked around the house admiring its beauty. She spent the week in peace at her daughter’s place, as she had planned. The following week, she returned to her home. Lear invited her sister’s friend and three other females to practice the dance in preparation for the wedding. The girls held the dancing performance at her mother’s house.

Sandra would occasionally come and practice with them. Because she was pregnant, the billionaire hired a doctor and three nurses to care for her. Sandra’s father, Joel, paid the priest to officiate at his daughter’s wedding. A pregnant woman’s belly became large after three months. Gwen, Mark’s ex-wife, found out she was expecting twins around this time. It was a happy time for her. As a result, Gwen was three months pregnant while Sandra was six months pregnant.

She even posted about it on social media. She received numerous compliments as a result of her large number of followers. After six months, the billionaire finally hosted the wedding at the hall he booked. Gwen, Mark’s ex-wife, staged a wedding as well in the farmland with Ham, her fiancé, on the same day. As a result, the divorced couple’s wedding was held in one day, as if it had been planned. Lear and her friends performed the performance that they had been working on for six months alongside her pals. Following the marriage, the shopping center opened, and the wealthy individual hosted an evening out with his wife in his new restaurant, along with his pals Carlos and Abel and their wives.
