Chapter 63: Blinding the city’s eyes

Anne appeared to be the same age as her daughters. The private cab arrived and transported them to the mall of Melon, where Naomi’s salon is located. Ceazar and Wayne were at the office at the moment, doing their duty of monitoring Melon’s streets via CCTV cameras. They spotted three girls wearing the identical red and while outfits leaving the house, and Wayne instantly called Joel while Joel was having an intensive conversation with the priest and Donta’s wife.

“Sir, three women in red and white have emerged from the house. They are presently on their way to Melon’s mall. I’d like to tell you something.” Wayne stated to Joel over the phone.

“It’s my wife and her babies. Allow them to leave on their own. Just keep a tight eye on them.” Joel responded and then hung up the phone. As a result, Wayne and his security officers went about their business, while Joel and the priest continued their conversation.

“You are a fortunate man, Mr. Joel. You have a supportive wife who is nice to her kids. I’d appreciate it if you could introduce her to my daughter, Naan, so she can assist her through her heart’s sadness.” Joel saw the priest’s talk as an idea.

Naan sat on the mat next to the priest with her infant. Joel called his wife right away, and Anne answered the phone as she approached the shopping complex.

“I’m going out with my kids, but I don’t have any money. Please send me a thousand dollars so that I can get my hair done at your sister’s salon, Noami.” Anne answered her husband’s call from the back of the private taxi, next to Lear on the right and Sandra on the left in the passenger seat.

“I’ll do it right now. However, my beloved wife, I would want to request a favor from you. “My life’s love.” Joel’s manner of address amused Anne. She even giggled, and Sandra poked her, but she remained silent.

“Anything you ask my love; I will do it.” She answered as though she understood exactly what Joel desired.

“I appreciate your trust, my affection. Donta’s wife, on the other hand, requires comfort. She had just lost her husband the night before. I’m here at the priest’s house, attempting to arrange for the burial ceremony of this dead soldier. Please come to the priest’s house after you have finished preparing your hair to offer Naan the comfort she requires as a woman.” J Joel explained why he needed his wife, but his comments looked to be more profound for Anne to follow.

“I’d do it if it was your sister. I’m afraid I can’t help the strange woman in this environment. I apologize for disappointing you. Send me the money I require and leave me alone with my children.” She then hung up the phone, leaving Joel to laugh alone. He understood his wife didn’t want to be involved in anything that had to do with public needs. He transferred the thousand cash she required to her and then turned to Naan.

“You’ve got us right next to you. God is also with you. Let us proceed to the cemetery,” Joel suggested, but the youngster screamed as if something had just harmed him. Naan began to calm her infant instead of reacting to Joel’s proposal.

When she realized she couldn’t be consoled, she began to speak to Joel, stating, “I will find a way to connect with Donta’s family. His sister works for a construction business that has been engaged by Diva to build a shopping mall in Westgate suburb of Melon. You have a lot to think about for yourself, sir. Thank you very much for your help and concern. I’ll send you $5,000 just to say thanks for displaying your messy for me.”

She then addressed the priest, saying, “You are my father. You are more deserving than the money I could give you, father. I’ll be your servant starting now. You are free to go about your business as well. God requires your assistance in healing his people. He had allowed me to rest. You can also give me your bank information, and I’ll see what I can do for you.” The priest was moved by Naan’s remarks, but Joel wanted the money in his account. He felt liberated from the tight scenario he had created for himself.

“Here are my bank details.” He stood up after giving Naan his bank information.

“Are you now leaving son?” the priest said. He nodded his head as Naan transferred $5,000 from the two million dollars she received from Mark. The money was then deposited into Joel’s account.

He stated, “I will be available when you call. I’ll leave you with the man of God for the time being.” He then exited the priest’s apartment and walked to his car. They glanced at him as he walked to the door and out of their sight.

“How can you let the man who offers you his assistance leave? How are you going to get yourself to Donta’s sister?” The priest asked Naan.

Naan simply grinned and said, “I will give you twenty thousand dollars. You will then go and accomplish the Lord’s work. Allow me to tackle this alone. Please provide your banking information.” The priest could not believe. He walked to the drawers, took out his bank documents, and took them to Naan to look for the bank information. She tracked them down and transferred $20,000 to personal bank account of the priest. The priest was speechless at what the woman had just done for him.

he said as he blessed her, “Your life will flourish forever, my daughter. Travel the world and plant your seed in the hearts of innumerable people. May God bless you.”

Naan replied with a “Amen.” She then left the priest’s apartment, leaving the priest stunned. She grinned as she boarded the elevator and descended to the ground floor. She noticed a luxury taxi waiting for her when she departed the priestly residential complex. She ignored the issue of her late husband and concentrated on her new life as a single female, as Joel had long ago vanished by this point. He was on his way to meet his wife and children in the mall. Naan and her kid returned to their residence. Her heart was overflowing with joy. She started spending the money she received from the billionaire with her pals. Joel pulled into the mall’s parking lot. He proceeded to his sister’s salon to see if he could find his family but was met by agent Cruise outside Diva’s restaurant. He was surprised to see him because he thought he was in the hospital.

He decided to call Wayne and ask him to track down his daughter, stating, “trace my daughter for me, I’m at the mall. There’s something fishy going on here that I don’t comprehend.” Ceazar began to follow the luxury automobile in which Joel’s family was traveling. They discovered that it vanished from the cameras at the same time it arrived at the robots two minutes distant from the mall. Agent Cruise stood next to Joel, appearing to be on the phone.

“The private taxi disappeared from the robots, yet the surveillance could not capture any details so that we can trace its whereabout.” Wayne answered, but the call was interrupted owing to network problems. Joel visited the salon to learn more about his family. He discovered his sister busy with her business. She was delighted to see her brother and summoned him to her office, but Joel disappointed her.

she inquired as she poured whisky for her brother, “What upset you today? I’m just glad to see you in my office, but I’m not thrilled to see you crying.”

“My family has gone missing. They said they were coming to your salon, but they were abducted by robots.” He said before taking the whisky and starting to drink.

“Say you’re joking, brother. You can see it all the way across town. How could that be?” She reacted by dialing Anne’s phone number. A man answered the phone. As a result, Naomi summoned Joel to speak.

“Who is this?” he questioned calmly, but there was no response.

“I have to talk to my wife. Please hand over the phone to her.” He inquired again The individual replied in a male voice, “she had been taken.” Then he hung up the phone. Joel replied to his sister, “They had been taken. I assume two women are behind this. One is the billionaire’s wife, while the other is the lady with whom the billionaire is cheating. Her name is Diva.” He even hurled the glass cup he was holding onto the floor. His sister began to cry, but Joel walked out of her present.

Naomi said as he approached the door, “what are you going to do now, brother?” When Joel left, he slammed the door as if he was unhappy even with his sister. Sandra kept crying in his head, pleading for her father’s help. Joel approached the Salon’s entrance and called Ham, his former boss. Ham answered the phone while he was in the hotel room that Gwen had given him.

He said, “what makes you call while you wanted nothing to do with me?”

“There has been a lot of evil going on since I fired you. I’d like to learn more about my children and their mother. My surveillance isn’t working as well as it used to. We need to get together.”

But Ham shook his head and remarked, “This is because you haven’t trained your security to do the job on their own. Yet they sacked me as if I were useless to the firm. You’ve become disoriented and require my assistance. I’ll ask Ms. Gwen if I have the authority to assist you.” He responded and then hung up the phone. Mark noticed that his sister was not leaving the office. He was curious as to what she was doing there. She couldn’t stop shaking her head.

She then smiled and contacted agent Cruise, who was in the mall parking lot, stating, “the city’s eye is now turned blind. Please take them to Westgate Farm.” Joel returned to his sister’s office to inquire about her health. He walked in just as she was about to hang up the phone with agent Cruise.

“Who were you calling?” Joel inquired.

“Are you now suspicious of me, brother? Do you believe I can simply steal your family while both of your eyes are open? Joel don’t kid yourself. Let us collaborate to figure out your family.” Naomi pretended to know nothing about Joel’s family while she knew they were busy doing their hair in the salon’s private section. The objective was to tease Joel. It was Anne’s idea. She then went to the door and opened it, intending to leave for her salon, but Joel pulled her back into the office and spoke to her while holding her hand.

“I believe you are behind this calamity. I will question you until I find out the truth. I’ll call for backup.” he said, and he exited his sister’s salon. He got in his car and proceeded to his security office to find out what had transpired.
