Chapter 59: A failed official engagement
Sandra was left with the billionaire. They kissed in the parking lot, but Naomi, Sandra’s aunt, parked next to them.
she said as she exited her car, “You must now be husband and wife. Why didn’t you invite me to your wedding?”
Sandra covered her face in Mark’s arms and whispered to the billionaire, saying, “my aunt and her endless talk. Let us go and pretend we didn’t see her.” Naomi was standing right next to the billionaire as she finished talking.
“Don’t ignore your aunt.” the billionaire warned Sandra. Naomi was already standing in front of Mark when he finished speaking.
“Don’t be embarrassed, my baby. We had been in a similar position. I am pleased of you and your accomplishment with the city’s wealthy citizen.” She addressed Sandra with her hands on her waist, as if rebuking her.
Sandra smiled as she turned to face her aunt and said, “Thank you aunt.”
When Naomi noticed her nephew was being coy, she responded, “I can tell you’re shy. I’m going to leave you. I’m off to my salon. Inform my brother that I will meet him later. He needs to invite me to the wedding.” She then left them alone. Sandra extended a hand to her. As a result, she went away and disappeared from their sight. “
Sandra stated to the billionaire, “It’s time for my present. You mentioned jewelry. I’m not sure what that means.”
“The term refers to everything of value that will make you feel at ease as my formal fiancée. Let’s go to the jewelry store and pick out your favorite ring.” The billionaire spoke up. As they walked to the mall, they held one other’s hands. He instructed his security to wait in the car so that he would not appear extraordinary to the shoppers. As a result, they went to their automobiles and stayed there. Mark and Sandra proceeded to a jewelry store and were greeted by Sandra’s high school acquaintance. The women hugged each other in the store as the billionaire smiled at them. When he raised his eyes, he noticed Dyna, Gwen’s lawyer, staring at him as if she had something to say to him.
He began to wonder, “Have I now done wrong?” He then offered no response for himself. Dyna approached him directly, but Sandra observed the woman with the phony grin who approached the billionaire. She withheld her with Simma, a high school acquaintance who also works at the jewelry business.
“This is not the time to have divorce debates. Please inform your client that I am now the billionaire’s official fiancée.” She addressed Dyna, but she simply stared at her from the ground up. Sandra became aware that she was being undercut by the billionaire’s ex-wife’s lawyer.
Dyna remarked to Mark, “Tell her not to be too proud, because the world will humble her. She is a lovely little girl who would make an excellent wife. She must not provoke situations that she will be unable to handle.” She exited the jewelry store as she finished speaking, while Sandra and the billionaire stared at her without saying anything.
“Congratulations on your engagement, baby girl. I’d love to be on your guest list for your wedding day.” Simma cut Sandra’s attention away from Gwen’s lawyer.
As a result, she turned to her buddy and told her, “You will be the first to be invited. We had just arrived to look for my favorite ring. Could you show us the way?” Simma nodded and motioned them over to the ring side. Sandra noticed the ring of her choosing the instant she focused her sight on the various varieties of rings displayed throughout the jewelry store. Simma, on the other hand, abandoned her with her fiancé, Mark. Sandra took the package, then held out the ring of her choice to Mark.
She said, “If I can have this today, all my desires are granted I declare.”
“It’s lovely, but it’s worth isn’t what you deserve. Please invite a friend. We’ll ask them to make the most expensive ring that looks like the one you like.” Sandra’s thinking was clouded by Mark’s comments, and Mark was aware of this.
Sandra turned to face Mark, who was standing next to her, and inquired, “Does this mean I’m going home without a ring today?”
“No, you’ll take this one for engagement, but the one that will be made especially for you will be taken to the place where rings are made. It will be worth more than this one. That is the one we will utilize for our wedding.” Sandra began to feel uncomfortable in her stomach as Mark recounted, and she felt like she was about to puke. She bowed even to herself. Mark took the ring and delivered it to Simma so she could complete the transaction.
He inquired, “What are you feeling now, my lady? May I call an ambulance?”
She simply nodded and yelled, “Water, I need water, please.” Simma completed the purchase of the ring and delivered it to Mark. Mark opened it and kneeled to engage Sandra. Simma dashed to the sink to get the water in the glass. Sandra didn’t know what to say to Mark, who seemed eager to propose to her. People could see what was going on inside because the store was completely made of glass. Sandra was nauseated as Mark made his proposal prayer to her.
“You must be ill. I understand, but I want you to know that you are mine.” While Mark continued to speak with Sandra, who appeared to be ill, people outside the store began filming what was going on between the billionaire and Sandra. Sandra sipped the water Simma offered her, but she puked in Mark’s face. It was a huge humiliation. Simma led them to the store’s restroom. Sandra continued to puke while Mark washed his face when they arrived in the bathroom. The people were unable to take any more film since the couple was in the bathroom. Simma returned to the business and cleaned up the mess Sandra’s puking had made. She even shut the store down while cleaning. Sandra turned to Mark after finishing vomiting in the toilet and began crying, apologizing for embarrassing him.
“I’ve never been sick like this in my life. I’m not sure how this reproach got about. Please forgive me, honey.” Mark cradled her in his arms while she sobbed. “
he comforted her, “this is not a reproach, but a sign of your pregnancy. Let us notify your mother of this.” He chatted while dialing Joel’s phone number. Joel was relaxing by the gate with his young daughter, while his wife was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen. He was curious as to what had happened to the billionaire that prompted him to contact him.
“I hope you’re safe, my son. Tell me the story. What’s the matter?” He inquired, to which Mark replied, “Sandra is ill.” She puked right in the middle of my official proposal to her. I’d appreciate it if you or her mother could attend.
“I’ll be right there with her mother. Where is she now?” While walking to the kitchen to inform his wife about Sandra’s condition, Joel asked Mark about their daughter’s whereabouts.
“We are in the bathroom of the jewelry store.” The call ended as soon as he pressed the end button owing to network troubles.
Lear went into the kitchen with her father. When they arrived, he discovered his wife preparing a soft morning meal for the family.
“Sandra is in a bad state. She threw up in the jewelry store where they were looking for an engagement ring. The billionaire requires our assistance.” Anne simply grinned, as if she was aware of Sandra’s predicament. Joel was taken aback by his wife’s smile.
“You’re smiling as if you’re aware of what happened to my daughter. Do anything to assist her in getting out of this bad condition.” He reprimanded his wife, but his daughter, who was standing next to him, began to cry when she learned of her sister’s plight.
“Your daughter had slept with a billionaire without any safe measures. These are the results of an unsafe sex. These are pregnancy symptoms. Your daughter is expecting a child. Go to her, and I’ll be waiting at home for the findings.” Joel couldn’t believe his wife’s remarks.
“Sandra had slept away from her mother’s house in two days. How may pregnancy manifest itself so quickly? Something isn’t quite right here.” He yelled in surprise and then walked to his car. Lear stayed at home with her mother. While her father hurried to his car, she came in her arms and wailed. He drove to the mall to witness his daughter with the billionaire, leaving Lear in the kitchen to the consolation of her mother.
“It’s difficult to be a woman. There are many things that women go through that men do not understand. She will be OK.” Anne addressed her wailing daughter, Lear, in her arms. She stopped crying and went to her bathroom to take a bath, while her mother continued to eat the soft meal she had made for the family. Joel entered the mall and went straight to the jewelry store. The individuals who were filming Sandra and the billionaire were gone.
he stated to Simma at the counter, “I am the father of Sandra, the girl who just caused a commotion in your store.”
Simma replied with a smile, “Mr. Joel, I am Simma, Sandra and Lear’s friend. I notice you don’t recall me. Allow me to take you to her.” Joel was taken aback when he saw Simma.
“I’m becoming old, my dear. Please forgive me for not recognizing you. I apologize for all that has transpired to your store. We will reimburse you for the embarrassment my daughter caused in your establishment.” Joel spoke as he followed Simma to the bathroom, where Sandra and Mark were waiting.
“She is a friend of mine. What occurred may happen to anyone. You are not required to pay anything. I’d appreciate it if you could just take her to the doctor so she can get care as soon as possible.” Simma responded by opening the bathroom door to her jewelry business. Sandra washed her face in the sink while Mark looked at her from behind.
When Sandra spotted her father, she jumped into his arms and exclaimed, “I don’t know what’s going on. I just embarrassed my fiancé. People recorded everything that had just happened. They’ll post it all over social media.” Simma abandoned the family. Sandra was conversing in her store’s restroom as she walked to assist other customers.
“Let us go to the car and rush her to the private doctor so that we may know what the matter is.” Joel led the way out of the bathroom and met Simma at the counter, as Mark suggested.
“Give me your account detailed.” Sandra understood her father wanted to compensate Simma for the mess she made when Joel asked for her account information. She did, in fact, give Joel the bank account information, and he immediately transferred $5,000.
the girl exclaimed as she hugged him, “You are such a kind father. None of this was expected of me. Thank you very much. You deserve this my friend.” Sandra added, but Mark remained silent. They exited the store. The ring was still in the box, but they didn’t discuss the sort of ring Mark wanted designed for Sandra with the store manager. The jewelry store continued to operate normally.
