Chapter 58: Sharing the good news

When the billionaire saw the sisters fighting, he dropped the call and his security driver drove him out of his yard, leaving his wife behind. While the billionaire was on his way to buy her an engagement ring, Sandra appeared to be bickering with her sister.

“You are so cruel, little sister. You woke me up when I wasn’t even ready to. I’m not going to tell you all I wanted to tell you.” Sandra reprimanded her sister as they stood side by side beside the door. The mother, Anne, heard the disagreement and exited her bedroom to defuse it.

“You forget that this is my bedroom. Because yours is unoccupied, why don’t you go to sleep in your bedroom? I mean, you may leave my house since you have your apartment that the billionaire has given to you.” Sandra was ready to react to her sister when Anne walked in. The two females looked at her as if she was about to beat them up. She only smiled at them, but Lear told her mother about the situation.

“My sister is mean to me, mother. I simply wanted to make my bed when I awoke, but she refused to leave my bed as if it were hers.” She even sobbed and wiped her tears away. Sandra pouted at her, then turned to her mother and apologized, saying, “I have been rude to my little sister. Perhaps it was the way she woke me up. Perhaps I mistook myself for being in my bedroom. I sincerely apologize.” She even lifted her hands and attempted to leave the room, but her mother stopped her. As a result, she retreated, wondering what her mother was thinking.

“This conflict that just occurred is a norm,” she said to both girls. You’re used to such fights, but I’m delighted you came to an agreement without holding grudges against one another.” Sandra smiled and moved forward to embrace her mother, but Anne again stopped her from approaching her. Sandra stepped back till Lear laughed. She pondered what had caused her mother to prevent her from going to her room. She was still dressed in the same trousers and white T-shirt that she had arrived in. She did not change into her nightgown like her sister.

“What’s the story, mother? All I want to do is go to my room and sleep.” With her fists folded and a pout on her face, she begged her mother.

“You had promised to inform us of the good news. We just need to know now, before you go to bed.” Anne explained why she was stopping her daughter from leaving the room.

“Yes, ma’am. I admire how you go about things. You are the best friend I’ve ever had.” Sandra was persuaded to inform them about the wonderful news when Lear added to her mother’s conversation. Sandra was even moved to stand by her mother’s side.

“I and Mark are getting married soon. He proposed to me yesterday.” Sandra broke the wonderful news, but Lear, her sister, cut her off when she discovered there was no band on Sandra’s finger.

“I see no ring on your finger. What kind of engagement did the billionaire perform?” She inquired, but Sandra and her mother both glared at her, and she shrank.

As a result, Sandra added, “the ring was large and could not fit on my finger. I told him to get me a ring that fits nicely. That’s what he’ll bring because he just claimed he’s on his way to the mall to give his fiancée a gift.” Sandra’s mother, Anne, began to cry tears of delight. She went ahead and hugged her daughter. Sandra grew distraught as well, and they both cried to each other. Lear, on the other hand, was astounded by what was going on; she couldn’t understand why her mother cried after learning of Sandra’s engagement.

“I just want to cry too, but I don’t see why I should. What makes you so emotional this morning, as if you’ve just received horrible news?” Lear inquired because she was moved by her mother’s sobbing in Sandra’s arms. Anne turned to face Lear, wiped her tears away.

“It’s tears of joy, my baby. This is fantastic news, and I am overjoyed for my child.” Lear nodded and feigned to cry as well. Sandra shook her head, stunned by her sister’s actions.

“You’re not crying with us, but you’re pretending. You act like a twelve-year-old child despite being eighteen.” Sandra chastised her crying sibling.

She even fell into her mother’s arms to be comforted.

Anne remarked with a wink, “Leave my only child alone, Sandra. Don’t be envious. She is getting married to a millionaire soon. Don’t you think he’ll now buy another ring that won’t fit your finger again?” she joked with Sandra.

“So, you suggest I should be with him?” She asked her mother after realizing her mother’s talk had been enlightening.

Anne remarked, nodding her head, “You should call him and ask him where he is. You should go to him if he is already in the mall so you can try on the rings before you buy them.” Sandra nodded and took her phone off the bed as Lear began to make her bed.

“Is the conflict between you and your little sister over now?” the billionaire asked as he answered his girlfriend’s phone call.

“I just paused for a moment. It will resume sometime shortly. We’re used to it; my parents don’t mind seeing us quarrel. I’m on my way to find you.” The billionaire smiled as Sandra responded.

he explained, “I wanted to tell you that my wife just hit me with my marriage ring that I gave her. The same ring is presently in my pocket. If you don’t mind, I’ll give it to you.” Sandra grew upset by the billionaire’s remarks.

“I don’t require it. I want a brand new one right out of the box. Your ex-wife’s bad luck should not be transferred to me. If you care about me, you should get me a new ring.” The wealthy individual was embarrassed when she responded.

“Wait for me in the mall parking lot; I’ve come to meet you. We’ll go to the Jewelry store together.” She added and then hung up without waiting for the billionaire’s response.

she replied as she turned to face her mother, “I should go. He has his wife’s engagement ring, but he wants to give it to me.”

“Good luck, my baby. Do not accept his ex-wife’s ring.” Anne made the suggestion and then went over to embrace her daughter. Sandra then went to her room and took a bath. She changed her clothes and put on a red dress she wore on her first date with Mark. She entered Lear’s room, where her mother was, and everyone admired her beauty. As a result, she left the house intending to take a private taxi but was intercepted by her father at the door. He surprised her because she believed he was still in bed.

He praised his daughter’s beauty, stating, “You remind me of your first evening out with Mark, the billionaire. I’m hoping you’re going to meet him right now, don’t you?” He inquired as he approached her via the door. Sandra stood in front of her father, nodding her head. Anne and Lear emerged from Lear’s bedroom and noticed Sandra talking with her father near the door.

“I’d like to take you by my car right now. This is a special day for you. The heavens have opened to celebrate your success, my darling.” He then took her hand in his and led her to his car. Sandra turned to see her mother and sister smiling at her. She waved to them before getting inside the car. Joel got into his car in shorts and a T-shirt. He drove the car to the exit, but Lear hastened to avoid being hit. Joel was aware that his daughter desired to accompany him.

He yelled at her, “Come inside and let us take your sister to the billionaire.”

But Anne, who was still standing outside the front door, yelled back, “She didn’t take a bath. How can she go to the mall with such a soiled appearance? First, wait for her to bathe and change out of her nightgown.”

Sandra was in a hurry, so she said to her father, “let us go, daddy. If Lear wants to accompany us, she must enter the vehicle. She won’t get out of the car when we arrive at the mall.” Sandra’s conversation with her father was overheard by Lear. She approached the car and got inside.

her mother yelled again, “You can go to the mall with that look to meet your in-law. What a disgrace you bring into our house.” She even approached the car.

Sandra intervened for her younger sister, stating, “She will remain in the car. She wants to go to the mall. Mother, let her go. Anyway, she’s just a mischievous toddler who enjoys rolling about with her father.” Sandra’s words soothed Anne, her mother. She returned to the house with a nod of her head.

As a result, Joel drove out of his house with his daughter, but the billionaire called again, saying, “If you take too long, you will find me already doing the shopping. I have an appointment with my new broker. Would you accompany me?” he asked to which Sandra replied, “Yes, as your fiancée and soon-to-be wife, I must support you in everything you do. In this, I agreed with my father. He’s bringing me here. My little sister is also right next to me.”

“Please wait for me. I will then accompany you shopping so that you can select your favorite jewelry.” Sandra was entangled by the word Jewelry; she said nothing but hung up the phone. As a result, the billionaire waited for her in the shopping center parking lot. Joel drove the automobile until he got to the billionaire’s location. Mark stepped out of his Rolls Royce and headed to meet Sandra when he saw the automobile, she was in. Sandra exited her father’s car when they arrived, but Lear and Joel remained inside. While her father looked on, Sandra embraced the billionaire.

Then Lear yelled at her sister, “You should respect your father, billionaire’s fiancée. How can you act that way in front of him?” Sandra smiled as she turned to see her father looking at her. When the billionaire looked into the automobile, he noticed Lear. He waved his hand, but Lear grinned seductively, which irritated Sandra. Her father spoke to Mark, who was standing outside the car.

He said, “We’re going home. Feel free to return home at any time. Take care, son; your safety is also a top priority for me. Do you think we should be a part of Naan’s attempt to host a burial ceremony for Donta, even though he is buried already?” Mark questioned as he shook Joel’s hand.

“It isn’t necessary. You can, however, attend the ceremony as a close friend. The priest will assist the lady. When I go home, I’ll also check on her. For the time being, enjoy your life with your fiancé.” When he finished speaking, he smiled. Then he turned around and drove away from Sandra.

While Joel’s car was leaving, Sandra yelled at her sister, “Go and bathe, jealous girl. Go find yourself a man.” Lear simply lifted her middle finger as an insult to her sister.
